Wake Up America

Well here we go.
Perhaps Kevin's prophecy was that 9/11 would be the last peaceful day. as my night blooming Sirius bloomed to give peace and beauty, the shaking started.
Ike , Russia, Sara Palin and Lord knows what else behind the scene.
Today the Dow Jones was down 504 points, the worst day since 9/11
Capitalism is after all a religion, it is a economic system that is built on faith and usury. Could this be what Revelation is talking about
Rv:18:2: And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.3: For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.4: And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.5: For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.6: Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.7: How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.8: Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.9: And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,10: Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.11: And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,13: And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.14: And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.15: The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,16: And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!17: For in one hour so great riches is come to naught.

Let the bank runs begin!
By Patrick Wood, Editor September 15, 2008
The immediate aftermath of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy will be a massive and manic flight to liquidity and withdrawal of funds and credit from banks, S&L's, insurance companies and brokerages, leading to more failures.
Nothing can stop it at this point.

Pursing Truth,
When 9/11/01 happened I asked a minister if this could be related to Rev.18 but of course I was dismissed. Not America...they are the "beacon of hope" for the world. I did not believe him than and I believed it was Rev. 18 that we were witnessing. As Jesus said We can not love both mammoth and God. Where is our heart? Is it with mammoth or God?

I warned people to get their house in order, pay their debt and put something away and stop buying things they did not need. I was dismissed but the same people are now coming to me to borrow money. I was part of the "simplify your life" movement. I just decided to get out of the rat race. Families, community were more important to me and I was not interested in climbing the Babylon ladder of success.

I was thinking the same as you about YB prediction. It is one thing after another after the anniversary of seven years.

How great is our God...the Almighty Lord is replacing the not-so-mighty dollar. Whohoo, I feel like dancing.

How can we mourn this loss..what would we be mourning. A nation that was built on lies, aggression, oppression and death - all the while claiming to be a Godly nation. Lies from the beginning to bring us to this point right here and now. This is so amazing watching prophecy unfold and the world finally starting to take a little notice.

One thing for absolute certain - the Bible is right on the money!

A relative today called me and wanted to know what I thought about her taking her money out of the bank and putting the cash into her savings deposit box. I told her that would be good if it made her feel better, but I did not have the heart yet to tell her that when Babylon falls, the cash in the box wouldn't be worth anything.

A little while back I used to try to imagine what the Iraqi people have been put through and what I would be like without my comforts. Now in all honesty this thought can make most of us a little nervous, but it no longer does. Trust, faith, hope and love in the Lord will be our daily bread. No worries and no fear. This feels like a victory for His people and it is empowering and energizing, and this is our God. How great is our God...our God is so great.

Dance, anyone?

Greetings all,

Times are getting tougher. 84 of Ohio's 88 counties are declared disasters after Sunday wind and rain tore the state apart and there are a quarter of a million without power. I have heard nothing of this on the news.

http://www.cleveland.com/realtimenews/index.ssf/2008/09/about_274000_without_power_84.html

And all the while Bush and McCain claim our economy is strong, even after the 'bloodbath' yesterday. Suppose they are lying again?

Pakistan is ordering open fire on US troops if another attack occurs on the Afghanistan border:

Hang in there everyone and pray about everything. Looking forward to the radio show tonight, and prayers for all His people.

Love you all.

Another reason why Bush has to stay in power; he will be tried for war crimes. It sure is a nice thought though, isn't it:

Matthew 6:19-34

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The Lamp of the Body

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
You Cannot Serve God and Riches

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

A sidenote that I wanted to pass along for whatever it is worth. Israel is having another 60th celebration on September 25th and evidentially Paul McCartney is scheduled to perform and supposedly Islamic extremists are threatening to kill him.

This country has served mammon and that is why so many people are very concerned with the stock market. Overseas stocks are falling also because they rely on the U.S. consuming culture. So many get upset with any mention of taking God off the currency in this country but their god is money and it is what they trust in and it will always let you down.

Why is it that we allow our children to wear shirts, pants with the logo of the company boldly advertising their product in big letters on their garments. It is stupid to be the billboard of these companies. I bet they laugh in their board rooms.

Life is so much simplier when you get off the Babylon train of consumer spending and live within your means. The rain will come and the wind will blow but you will still stand because you have chosen the rock of Jesus. When Jesus comes he will start with throwing the harlots out of the churches for they have corrupted his teachings and led the sheep astray. The issue I have is that the people should have studied the bible and Jesus's teachings and put them into action instead of following the ministers who polluted the simple teaching of Jesus. They would not have been lead astray if they did as Jesus instructed and followed "no man". The Kingdom of God is within.

Armageddon is war, and there is also a struggle between good and evil, but these are two different things. Armageddon is not a war between good and evil; it is a war between different groups of people. Christ is good. Christ is love, mercy and compassion; but evil or antichrist is the opposite. Those who take part in Armageddon, ON BOTH SIDES, are following evil. Those who gather in the security of Zion will be those who withdraw from the fighting; withdraw from the hostility, withdraw from all the conflicts in this world and practice love and forgiveness. The struggle between good and evil is within us, and once we take part in the war, we have lost that struggle.

We should not feel any hostility against the evangelicals, they are humans just like us, and they too struggle between good and evil. It is true that many evangelicals seem to be listening to the evil most of the time since self-righteousness and the condemnation of others are products of evil just as much as the sins the self-righteous person condemns. Yet, if we condemn the evangelical, if we hold any hostility towards the evangelical, then we too are listening to the evil just like them.

Do not condemn the republicans. It’s certainly okay to vote and even work in a campaign, but keep an open mind. Do not become angry or hostile, as this is listening to the evil and losing the struggle within. Do not be a soldier in any of the battles of this world.

In the days of Christ, people thought that the Messiah would defeat the enemies of God and establish the kingdom of God in the world. Many people expected Jesus to lead the fight against Rome since they saw the Romans as the enemies of God. If Jesus had called for war against Rome, He would not have been crucified as many would have supported Him. But the Romans were not the enemies of God; neither are the Americans, the Chinese or any other group of people. Jesus defeated the enemies of God, but the enemies of God are hostility and war, and Jesus overcame these. Jesus overcame greed, selfishness, self-righteousness and all the enemies of God. That is the struggle that we fight.

Do not condemn the Israelis; God may not be through with them.

Ephesians 6:12. Our struggle is not with any person or group of people. Our struggle is with spiritual principalities, and with ourselves. All of our brothers and sister are fighting that same struggle. Why should we be angry with them just because they are losing? If we are angry with them, then we are losing too.

Ah, what a wonderful thing to be nourished by vigilance and trained observation here.

Anonymous, your Matthew 6 quote is a great reminder in these troubling times.

Sandra, isn't it wonderful how consistently Jesus went out of his way to clearly state his views about certain matters. He knew the scriptures would be twisted, and that the Adversary would work to transform Christianity from a faith of serving others to a shrine of greed and selfishness. But no amount of spin can contradict the foundational christian FACT that we cannot serve both God and Money.

Done, may I remind you of Rev 19:19

"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse (Jesus Christ), and against his army."

The war of good verses evil is a power struggle, a celestial endurance contest of lies vs. the truth. The deceivers are well organized, with platforms that reach millions. Their false doctrines are poisons of the spirit, that largely go unchallenged. Believers living in the Last Days are not called to succumb to waves of deception and false doctrine, turning the other cheek, and abstaining from conflict. These last day believers are said to "Overcome" the system.

The fact is, we are already in battle, but it is God's truth that is being attacked. If we know God's truth, we must defend it. If we run away from the forces that surround us, seeking a refuge to ride out the storm, we are in fact seeking to save our own lives, and not loving our neighbors.

I have a passionate hostility against the poisonous doctrines held sacred by the religious right, while remaining mindful that all souls are within God's reach, and He can redeem any that he chooses to. It can be easy to dismiss a group of people as hopeless, and beyond saving...but that isn't what Christ is about.

Christ will defeat the enemies of God and establish his Kingdom on this Earth. That has been the plan since the beginning. It's in the Lords Prayer (Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven).

It is wrong to take over a nation, and try to "uproot evil" on a political level (which is what the War on Terrorism, and the Crusades are about). That is taking the wrong side of a battle. But we are certainly called to get our armor on and step into the spiritual battlefield. Darkness has filled the world. It is choking the life out of this earth. It will kill us if we do not stand up in Christ and his light and resist it.

We're not fighting with physical weapons, in a physical war, but we are fighting with true weapons in a real bona-fide war. We are under orders to stand up and fight against the lies, against the darkness with truth and light. This will be a slap in the face for those who aren't used to the challenge that is being prepared in God's people, but it's a slap in the face that may lead them to true repentance. We must continually hope in the power of God to defeat any obstacle, and to protect his people in battle.

The more we focus on the evil of people outside of ourselves, the more blind we become to the evil within us. I agree with you on that. We shouldn't forget that we need God's mercy just as much as anyone else. But the darkness in the world is tremendous, and it needs to be exposed for what it is. We should simply be careful not to get too worked up, and not too see ourselves as too good. None of us are any good at all, but God is good. And God has the power to work his goodness through his servants. If we feel inspired by the spirit to speak out against lies and darkness, we should obey that leading.

YB,
I am glad you came back before your rest was complete. I do believe we have to fight the lies with truth. To those who speak lies and if we stay quiet than we are part of the problem. It is a spiritual fight of winning souls over to the light from the deceitful lies that are being spread. I do not believe God wants us to be quiet when we are confronted with deception but to speak the truth and expose the lies. The only way evil will succeed is if we don't speak up. We are called to speak up and expose the the hypocrisy of this world. Jesus is our model and he spoke up against the evil in the world. The only side we should be on is God's side. God will decide when the time is up and our Father is the only one that is perfect and good but he loves us enough to tell us to go forth with the truth of Jesus.

We should have love, mercy and forgiveness as our guiding light. We should always hold that in our hearts and go through the world with Love for people and the truth, mercy for those caught in the gripes of Babylon and forgiveness for those who have caused us harm. That way "hate" will find no home in our soul.

With that said Jesus did get angry at the self-righteous people of his day and exposed the lies with truth. Love for truth should be our guiding light and to expose the lies of the god of this world.

Yours in Christ

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Not much of a battle really. They are slain with the sword that goes out of His mouth which would be the Word of God. God is the highest level of reality. Relative to God, nothing else even exists. No one can do battle with God, and if they do, it isn’t much of a battle. God allows evil to exist for a time for His own good purpose. God has always been in control. The verse you mentioned describes the nations of the world rebelling against God. This may be referring to the rebellion against God that humanity has always been guilty of or it may be referring to a rebellion at the end of the millennium. But Armageddon is a battle between nations which occurs before the second coming of Christ, and if you see Armageddon as a battle of good verse evil, which nation or group of nations would you say will be fighting for God, and which nation or group of nations will be fighting for Satan?

Jesus spoke harshly to the priests, but that doesn’t mean that He hated them. You won’t find in the Bible where God has ever hated anyone other the Esau. But if you read the story of Jacob and Esau, you will see that Esau was a good man. What Esau did was sell his birthright for food which makes Esau a symbol of the fall of humanity, and that is what God hated. God hates evil, and that is what I was saying before. It is evil itself that is the enemy of God, not any person or group of people. You won’t even find in the Bible were God hates Satan.

God doesn’t actually “need” us to do anything, and evil cannot possibly succeed against God regardless of what we do. God may have us perform tasks in addition to the two commandments of Christ, but God doesn’t need us to do anything. I never said that anyone should keep there mouth shut, but I have noticed that in this place there is hostility towards Israelis, republicans and evangelicals. It is perfectly fine to disagree with, and speak out against the doctrine of the evangelicals, but if you hate these people, if you believe that God will vindicate you and destroy these people in your presence just as they believe of you, if you believe that God needs you to save lost souls just as the evangelicals believe, how are you different from the evangelicals?

They're calling yesterday 'Black Monday' and there are more talks of corporate takeover's and buyouts. Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bear Stearn's, Merrill Lynch...talks of Washington Mutual faltering..these are 'big name' Wall Street companies and they're disappearing on a daily basis...I have never in my life seen the economic mess we're witnessing now, and know that only in God we will be delivered. I have a feeling it's going to be a domino effect and we're in for an interesting ride...

There's an article from the AP, and at the close, it says, "On Tuesday, the Web site Christianity Today even posted an e-mail from an evangelical leader asking Christians to pray for Wall Street.

"We may find it hard to pray for these bankers because they are insanely wealthy, true," it read. "A few of them can be terribly arrogant; and some can have little heart for the less wealthy. Yet, Jesus prayed for the rotten because he loved the rotten. In this situation prayer could accompany a revival of the heart on Wall Street."

Revival of the heart on Wall Street...what I find so ironic is how people can point the finger at 'arrogant bankers on Wall Street' when the entire nation and world buy into the whole notion of consumerism..bloating their bank accounts and ignoring the poor. Only when we can put a stop to looking at "them" as being "the rotten" can we truly learn something from the ordeal...

Kelly,
Not everyone buys into the consumer system. There are people who have broken away from it. I will not pray for a rotten system when God told us to flee from Babylon. I am just above the poverity level and live on an Indian reservation and never have bought into the consumer culture. I believe you walk gentle on the earth and help your fellow man. Problem with so many people today is they only help those who will help them instead of helping those who have no way of repaying.

If Babylon falls so be it. It will not get my prayers.

God Bless

Kelly,

Thanks for that information; I was not aware although it does not surprise me that 'Christians' are being asked to pray for Wall Street. I too believe it will be a domino effect and this is all by design; manufactured to bring about a new world order with a new currency.

Done,

You have so many good points and it has been a pleasure to read your thoughts again.

I have to wonder if you are not quite as sick of the lies as I am though. While God is of course the only one to right the situation, His people must further the Kingdom of God by spreading truth in the face of the lies and reveal the hypocrisy. The 'Christian' right has hijacked truth and are deceiving many people. While we cannot save them, we can plant seeds and pray for them to grow.

Proverbs 6:16-19: “ These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.”

Soon they will be persecuting His people Israel for not bowing to their lies. I choose to stand and shout the truth according to His holy word. The christian right would have us believe that these wars are from God and they are not; they are of Satan and why should we be silent?

Sandra,

I am with you - it won't get my prayers either. This is written what is to be, all prophecy being fulfilled.

Young Brother and Peter,

I really enjoyed the radio show again last night and may you reach many more listeners.

I love seeing the truth coming to light and may He continue to bless both of you in this endeavor.

Love to all and keep hanging on to that faith.

FF,
I was just getting ready to respond to Done but you said pretty much what I was going to say so I will leave it at that. I will add that we always need to be sure we are acting in love and not out of our own bias and prejudices which we inherited from this world of corruption and division.

Speaking the truth does not make you a "hater". I find no where on these comments that people have used the word "hate". Loving your neighbor means you don't lie, cheat, steal, covet, etc your fellow man. I love people enough to tell them to wake up to the evil that is being done in the name of God. I take no side in the political area because all sides are telling lies and half truths.

People of good will and love will overcome this corrupt system because we put our love in the right place. Loving God and extending that out to our fellowman.

God Bless

Indeed Sandra: People of good will and love will overcome this corrupt system because we put our love in the right place. Loving God and extending that out to our fellowman.

Amen my beautiful sister, and keep shining that light. It is an amazing thing to behold. May He continue to lift us up in this world that is built on sinking sand.

Romans 12:9
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Love and prayers to all.

Stocks still down even amid the buyout of AIG. The US Embassy in Yemen has been blasted and we are claiming that it has all the earmarks of 'Al-quida' and it looks like we have struck Pakistan again with a drone after our Mike Mullen just made a statement saying that the US respected Pakistan's sovereignty:

FF,

In the near future, the world will experience very difficult times. Escalating war, famine, economic turmoil, and perhaps economic collapse. Millions, and perhaps billions of people will die, and great suffering and grief will be everywhere.

But not us. We will be protected by God, and God will help us survive. Not only will God protect us, but he will use us as instruments to expose the lies, and bring truth to the world.

Well, actually, we hope that God will protect us, but as far as we know we may have the same horrors waiting for us that everyone else has. I’m not so sure we should be looking forward to what is coming.

As far as God helping us to survive, I have to ask myself…do I deserve it? Do I deserve special protection from God while billions of people suffer? I must answer, no, I don’t. God has already given me more than I deserve.

And I would ask all of you as well, do you believe that you deserve special protection while billions suffer? What can I do, what can you do, to be more deserving? Prayer maybe. Perhaps charity. Another possibility is to forgive. Truly, completely forgive and bare no grudge against anyone even if they deserve it.

There are clues in the Bible that God will have a very close presence with His true followers in the end times. Has God spoken to any of you? Maybe we must first deserve the presence of God, and He will come.

One story in Israel is that the people must perform a perfect, or perhaps two perfect Sabbaths in order for Messiah to come.

Done,
You state:
"But not us. We will be protected by God, and God will help us survive. Not only will God protect us, but he will use us as instruments to expose the lies, and bring truth to the world."

I don't believe anyone on here said we would not face hardship but we are willing to face what comes because the corruption and deceit has to come to an end. We are willing to face what comes in this spiritual battle. Speaking truth to all that will listen. Remember Jesus said the devil was the Father of Lies. We have to follow Jesus and seek the truth because it will free all mankind from the father of lies.

The world needs to love his neighbor by following Jesus example of Putting God first... not country first Than loving your neighbor and honoring your elders, do not kill, steal, bearing false witness, adultery or covet. When we stop doing these things we truly will Love God and LOVE OUR NEIGBOR. Jesus came to fulfil the law not to break it. I know you want this as much as I do so let us go forth in love to help in our family and communities asking nothing in return. To show those we come in contact with that loving and caring for our neighbor are the same thing. To not just say the words but do the work involved of truly loving.

God Bless

Amen, Sandra. There is not one of us who are looking forward to witnessing death and destruction firsthand. It is the end of this evil empire that His people are striving for. The blood that has been shed already in these manufactured wars have not been pain free and no less painful just because it is not on our soil.

One major difference between us and the evangelicals or christian right (rapture nuts) is they would have us put to death for not believing as they do, but we want for them to come to the truth. The Lord wants none to parish and this is our desire as well.

Do I deserve any of His mercies? Me, a lowly sinner, no I do not, I deserve His eternal punishment, but by His love and grace I thankfully accept and count on His promises and mercy.

Praise the Lord! FF and Sandra, you are doing terrific jobs explaining "the reason for the hope that is within you". Amen!

Done,

If we aren't doing what we need to be doing, if we aren't using the light that we have been entrusted with, there would be no reason for God to protect us. When we assume that God's protection is a Birthright, we are off the mark. Thank you for raising these questions/issues.

God protects his people not because they "deserve it" (you're right), but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't work passionately to show ourselves approved of his blessing. (that "not by works" line used by evangelicals is a KILLER!! I know, I grew up in 3 different denominations).

We should be good servants, for no reason other than because He is a good master.

Ultimately, God protects his people for his own sake! read through Numbers 13-15 for a reminder. However, the Bible is pretty clear that there are some who will be following the commands of Christ, and will be faithful servants but will still become Martyrs. A remnant of the remnant, if you will. But all things (even death) work for the good of those that love Him (Christ), and those that are called according to his purpose.

If we are dedicating ourselves to spreading the light of God's love and justice into the world, we are valuable to God, and will be raised up in "the first resurrection", and death will have no eternal hold on us. God will protect us, and even glorify us for his own sake. (whether he "needs" us or not, His plan involved a people that follow him).

In the spirit of this conversation, I'd like to share a passage from Daniel 11. This passage refers to the "King of the North", believed to be a type of the Antichrist. Dan 11:32-34

"With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

"Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered. When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them. Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time."
