Hugo Chavez at the UN 2006, calls Bush The Devil.

I linked this video in the comments section of the post below. This is an amazing speech that I hope everyone here has had the chance to see. There is a spiritual uprising going on, an "awakening" that affects everyone in the world some way or another. Chavez spoke of the spiritual war that is being waged against all of the people of the world. Notice how he discusses the "people of the South" who are rising up. Obviously, Chavez is from South America, but he extends his hand out to nations around the world (many of which have been attacked, ignored, and/or exploited by the American empire) and he seems to be addressing them in his speech, and not just the Venezuelan people. Chavez is a Believer in Christ, and since his speech is clearly rich with Biblical language, perhaps Chavez read something that makes him relate to "people of the South", and see George Bush as an evil "King of the North".

Introduce Daniel 11:20-24, which is the story of the "Kings of the North" and "Kings of the South" fighting through several wars and generations throughout history, until the final Day of Judgment.
Vs:20
There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle."
This verse, I think, describes George H.W. Bush. His biggest political blunder was saying "read my lips, no new taxes" before hiking up taxes. That cost him the '92 election, where he was removed from power in the wake of his victory in Iraq.
Vs:21

And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.
Bush jr. wasn't elected by a popular vote, hence he did not have "the honor of royalty"...he didn't get in power by the usual means.
Vs:22
With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant.
This seems to be referring to 9-11, which was an attack on America, and an attack on Christ's teaching of how we should treat our enemies.
Vs:23

And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people.
This represents the natural effect of a boastful liar who claims to be good, but whose actions are evil. Only the brainwashed "base" will stay with him, but by law he has tremendous power, and despite high disapproval ratings, he has successfully gathered more executive power than any president in history.
He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
This seems familiar when looking at the $700Billion Wall Street Bail Out, but it also applies to other aspects of his presidency. War Profiteering also comes to mind, for instance.

Likewise, the powerful Last Days prophecy of Joel chapter 2 (read it here) says,
"never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations. I will drive the northern army far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land."
Chavez wasn't calling for a political revolution. He saw spiritual revolution on the horizon, indeed happening at the time, and strengthening now. Chavez announced this before the United Nations. Praise the Lord!

I have deactivated comments to this post in order to continue the conversation below. If any of you feel led to publish a post of your own view about what the next step should be, please do so. This is a good time to have in depth discussion about the matter of what our idea of "the next step" is... What has been shared so far about the subject is very strong meat, and very timely.

How wonderful it is to be a part of such a unique, set-apart group. Coming here and hearing so many common views from different sources is a great blessing. I don't know about you all, but I have felt stronger in the spirit since yesterday...more confident. I had a good friend call me up with a "you've been right all along" remark while Bush was addressing the nation last night. I really think that Bush is stepping over the line this time, and people are snapping out of their apathetic hypnosis.

The devil Will Not Win! People are getting ready to listen! The masses are coming to realize how serious this time is. May the Light of God's truth continue to spread throughout this dark world, through all of his servants.
