Concerning Wine

I would agree that we are to be sober and to not be drunk with wine. Eph:5:18: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;" Notice Paul says that there is excess in being drunk. When we are drunken we are not able to discern what spirit we are being influenced by. In that verse Paul is also showing us the better way to be joyful; being "full of the Holy Spirit" 1Thes:5:6: Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. Many in the world as you know are asleep as to the day we live and what is really happening, and they are trying to drown their pain by escaping with drunkenness. We should know better. 1Pt:5:8: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
Wine in the scripture is used as a type of the Joy of the Spirit. It is used in the story of the "Good Samaritan" He poured wine into the wound because the alcohol acts as an antiseptic, but the spiritual type was that he was restoring his Joy. "The Joy of the Lord is your strength" Neh:8:10
As far as wine in the Bible being just grape juice, that is incorrect. Some would say that it was "New Wine" and new wine is not fermented yet so it was not alcoholic. Wine in those days was important because it was able to be preserved because of its fermentation. You could not always have good clean water so men carried wine skins to drink. In the Book of Acts we see Peter telling the crowd that they were not drunk on "New Wine" They had just been baptized with the Holy Spirit.
Acts:2:13:" Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.14: But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16: But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh". Now if new wine was non alcoholic, why would the crowd accuse the disciples of being drunk on it?
As far as making oaths the scripture tells us that this is not wise. In Mathew 5:33 Jesus tells us not to swear but be honest in what we say. It should be our character to mean what we say and be trustworthy; but to swear an oath can get you in trouble. Invariably you find yourself breaking it or you are put in a place that you have to keep something that you may not want to. Mt:14:9
Now we are not under the law but under grace. we therefore are called to walk in wisdom.
1Cor:6:12: "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient (wise): all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any (or anything)." again
1Cor:10:23: "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not." So if wine is not something that has a hold on you but a glass at dinner is something you enjoy, then you are not in error or sin; but if you have a brother that you could cause to stumble and may have an alcohol problem or would think badly of you, and therefore not hear the word of the Lord from you perhaps it would be better to not partake in the wine. Rom:14:21: "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."
Phil:4:5: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
I hope this is helpful and a blessing.
Peter Zarcone

Thank you for sharing your insight and the info on the radio show.

Thank you for sharing your insight. I also believe we should not swear an oath but let our Yes mean Yes and our No mean No. Pledging is not needed with the Lord.

We should be considerate and respect others when it comes to those who have a problem with drinking. Encourage them and do not drink in their presence for it could make them slip from their committment. Having a glass of wine is not a sin but indulging and drunkness is to be avoided. It is a insult to the Holy Spirit that dwells in all true believers.

Blessings on your new talk show.

If one only drinks at dinner why would they call him a drunkard if he was not drunk?

If others were offended by it then why would he do it & not act like Saul(his real pharisee name)says we should act?

Why would he offend the pharisees by not keeping their rituals thus turning them away from him? Thats a no no according to Saul.

If Saul is Gospel then maybe the women who blog here should do as Saul says & keep their mouth shut & be submissive as Saul says? (not my belief but Sauls)

1 Corinthians 14:34
Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.

It would seem Saul thought the law was ok when it served him but disregaurded it when it didn't.

Personaly I could care less what Saul says because he is not my teacher,Jesus is.

If you don't want to drink by all means don't but don't be judging others as less of a person because they do.
That bumb on the street corner guzzling down that bottle of wine to numb himself from miserable life he lives because of cicumstances that he may have had no controll of.

The kingdom does not come with observation. You need not be learned to enter.

Isaiah 35:8
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.

You don't have to know the bible inside out to enter the kingdom.
You don't even need to know it at all if you do what is right.

Anonymous,
Jesus had women travel with him and it was a woman who first saw Jesus after his crucifixion and was instructed to tell his followers. Jesus treated all equal and said we are to be servants to all. It was unheard of for women to travel with men in that day and they were with Jesus throughout his ministry.
Jesus treatment of women bothered some of the apostles. After all they were human with prejudices and Jesus had to instruct them and still at times they did not understand.

From the Link below:

"While it is true to say that there are two particular passages in Paul's writings which seem to go against all of this, by commanding some women to be silent and forbidding others from teaching, these must be read and interpreted in their specific context. Paul himself gives guidelines for women when they publicly prophesy and also affirms women who teach, like Priscilla."

Here is a link:

http://www.eauk.org/resources/idea/bigquestion/archive/2005/bq8.cfm?renderforprint=1

As far as the self-righteous religious leaders of his day are concerned they were looking for fault with Jesus. Seeing him with a glass of wine and eating they judged him as a drunkard and glutton. He was neither and there is nowhere in the Bible to show he ever drank in excess. As far as the transient is concerned we are to help them to realize they are more than the bottle. It destroys their lives and although it might deaden the pain at the moment it comes back worse when sober. Most alcoholics that I know are so glad that they got sober and thank God for a new lease on life. They describe the hell they went through and getting sober and dealing with the hurt they work to help others. God gave us a life to live and to bring in his Kingdom and not to overindulge and make yourself less than you are. In God's eye we are not "bums" but children of God and worthy of his love.

I am not sure I answered your question to your satisfaction but I tried. Maybe some of the males on here can add something on their insights.

I read online that Hurricane Dolly (hitting texas) has been spawning tornados. I've never heard of this before, kinda crazy to think about. Texas declared a state of emergency in 14 counties before the hurricane even hit land.

Hope all is well, and Peter- I enjoyed the bible verse you quoted 1Cor:10:23: "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."

It kinda comes around in a full circle. We should be living life to glorify God- by loving him with all our heart, soul, and mind.

How timely; Bush: Wall Street got drunk and now it has a hangover:

Our Lord and Savior turned many traditions over on their head in an attempt to be an example for all people of all time. Present day is just as it was when He walked the Earth, more people rejected His ways than accepted them. He came to show us how to love and to set us free from so many things that bind, and yet as then, He is still rejected. But not by all, He has saved a remnant for Himself; a small flock of faithful followers who desire Him and His ways above the ways of the world.

Beautifully said, Sandra; you are such a joy.

Josh, thanks for the info on the tornadoes in Texas; I hadn't heard that.

Anonymous, If the point you made about Paul had any validity, it has surely been overshadowed by your uncontrolled contempt for him.

I would much rather adhere to the teachings of Paul than to change sides and align with you, because Paul was called of Christ, had a supernatural experience with Jesus personally, transformed his life entirely based on that encounter, preached the gospel through much, much more persecution than you have ever dealt with...and he served Christ and the church with Love.

Although Paul is not Jesus, and there is more law in his letters than in the recorded word of Christ, I believe that God knew what he was doing when he called Paul.

One way or another, there is absolutely no need for you to be so disrespectful, because Jesus said "Whatsoever you do unto the least of these, you have done unto me".

Why did ~they~ call Him a liar when He did not lie?

Why did they persecute Him when He had harmed no one?

Why did they treat Him worse than a common criminal who had committed no criminal acts?

They rejected Him and wanted to find anything wrong to substantiate their false claims made against Him to justify their hatred because they were a stubborn and stiff-necked people; much like many people of today. Imagine all He has been through for us and He is still mocked; His lessons and examples disregarded. As in ALL His ways, His vengence is just. There is not much of an excuse to reject Him today.

Among many things, Paul provides an inspiration for all who stumble into their own pride and self-righteousness. Paul became what God made Him to be and you are mocking God when you mock Paul. There are none of us perfect but there is hope for all. Even me and you. Give praise and thanks to the one who gives us that hope - the one ~they~ accused. As a follower of Jesus, one would never want to stand on the side of those who were accusing Jesus. I have to wonder why you would defend them.

Isn't the one voice harmony that resonates deep within such an incredible sense of belonging...the family of God. I know you really meant what you said because the same thing happens to me when I read your posts. As a matter of fact, yesterday ('nother boring story for you), I was posting and kept getting distracted and it took about an hour to get it completed, sometimes I (probably the user) experience glitches when posting, so when I seen that the counter had increased by one, so I exited without double checking it and assumed it went through. Mine was lost (my mistake) but you had posted and they were so similar in so many ways, as close to identical as you could get from two people, so nothing was lost at all. It made me smile. Not only did we say the same things to the same people, we were doing it at the same time. Anyway, the Spirit of Truth amazes me and gives me the best feeling I have ever had. A connection, a sense of belonging found nowhere else.

Love.

Wow, FF, your words fill me with praise. What you said about Paul was right on point. I wanted to say thank you to both you and Sandra for your kind words about the radio show, and to invite you to call in next week! (Ali, and all others are also encouraged and invited to do this).

The spirit of the Lord is growing within his own at an exponential rate, and your words testify of that. The "labor pains" of these last days are coming faster and faster in many levels.

As a body of people...we have the joy of confirmation from one another of the truth, which is "by the testimony of two or three witnesses".

What we see, feel, and believe is certainly crazy when held to the scrutiny of conventional wisdom...but the spirit that we share is telling us, through each other that these beliefs are really true. Yet it is not just this spirit...it is also the events that shape our world these days..all happening, so massive as to seem like a dream at times.

Most importantly, we are all very, very blessed to be able to see it. Though we have all faced opposition, insults, pain, loss, etc. because of these beliefs...in the long run we are all incredibly blessed. I hope this word encourages some of you, as you continually encourage my spirit.

No apology needed, Annon; it's more evidence of the one-voice harmony that is such a blessing.

~They~ want war, they actually cannot wait for it to start and they don't even feel the need to try to hide it because they are so comfortable in their (false) belief that it is divinely appointed. It's an incredible time to be alive and witness prophecy; being shown the beast and its' system with those that are following it.

Bush's words of Wall Street being drunk are of no little coincidence either. The name of our Lord makes even the demons tremble and imagine what His presence will do. Some amazing days ahead. So glad and thankful to have all you that gather here to share it with. Priceless, as our all the riches He gives us, especially each other. Blessings to all.

It is a wonderous thing to be on the same page with you Annon. One Spirit. One voice. One body. All praise and glory to the one and only Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, our King of Kings.

Young Brother,

It does seem like a dream at times, a really bad dream, but then I am blessed with witnessing the Lord in each of us and it does not matter. The Lord is joy that is so pure and real and being made manifest that I believe will only strengthen.

Your words not only encourage, they strengthen and edify. They bring joy. The truth brings joy, even the bad truth of the prophecy because everything He says is true and we can 'bank' on this while the rest of them close their doors; the doors that are open to those that love Him will remain open until He says otherwise. His timing, His patience, His vengence, His plan, all of it is perfect. This we know for certain.

I love you my young brother. It is a joy to witness your testimony.

His peace be upon His true Israel.

Who is making right wrong & wrong right just think about that for a minute.

Also Paul is not Jesus let alone God & should be questioned as he was teaching somthing all together different then what Jesus & the true apostles taught.

Just who do you think was planting the tares from the parable of the wheat & tares?

The son of man planted the wheat but his enemy planted the tares think about that for a minute.

Thomas,

Some day all of us will know and understand the whole truth. Until then, I know that there are NO contradictions in the Bible but rather our interpretations. If someone is trying to show or prove contradictions like that article you posted, I will side with the Bible.

You sound so angry and spiteful against Paul which might lead one to wonder if you have a Jewish heritage thus possibly a grudge against Paul for bringing the gospel to the Gentiles.

Mere speculation on my part and like you said, maybe some day may we all know the whole truth. Our God is so amazing; you can be assured we all will. Until then, love your brothers and sisters like you would want to be loved. You are not currently portraying much of that.

Sandra said...

Thomas,

Not one of us know for certain who is going to heaven or hell. We can look at their life and see if it honors God by loving their neighbor as themselves or if they do to others what they would want to be done to them. The world has so many hurting people in it so if a person does not love themselves it reflects out to others their attitude. Drinking in excess is not honoring your body as a temple of God. I have a gay niece who is the sweetest girl. I consider her being gay as a trauma of being sexual abused by her father as a child. God understands more than we do what people are going through and wants only the best for his children.

Many women have problems with Paul in the bible. I had to give a woman who played the piano for the church a ride home and she was very upset with Paul in the bible. I think the sermon was on some of his verses. (it has been a while so forgive me for not remembering) I remember her asking me what I thought. I said I follow the teachings of Jesus (red letters in the bible) and try to understand the culture of the people at the time of their teachings. As a people we are to be quiet when someone gets up to preach the word of God. I have been in church where people behind me were gossiping and not listening. I wanted them to be quiet. One time we had a stranger come to church with a big bible in hand. The minister (a woman) was getting up to do her sermon and he rose up waving his bible shouting that she should not be preaching and quoting bible verses. The men in the congregation tried to reason with him but he would have none of it and walked out.

I very much have a problem with you saying that Jesus was a drunk. As FF stated it was the self-righteous religious leaders who were trying anything to accuse him and to stop his teaching. He turned the world upside down with his words and they did not like it and he would not be welcome in most churches today.

So in closing I just want to say I love Jesus and try to live by his words. I stumble at times but he is always there to pick me up. It sounds like you love the Lord and maybe you can learn to love Paul. After all Jesus did say to "love your enemies" and it sounds like you despise Paul in the Bible. Paul brought the message to the Gentiles and argued against making Gentiles adhere to Jewish tradition.

We don't have all the answers but we are here to encourage all to follow the Lord and reject this current political system of corruption.

Yours in Christ Love

Jesus was blameless, guiltless and sinless. Perfect in every way and to say anything contrary to that is to stand on the opposing side. There are only two sides in this battle that is being waged for our souls. Annon, I have recently posted a documentary on UFOs in history at nephilimhistory.blogspot.com

Ali, I look forward to reading your new post.

Thomas...you have named yourself at least, thank you for doing that.

I'm not sure if you were calling Christ a drunk in the first place, but your hateful position on Paul is becoming more and more clear.

First of all, whether you are a drunk, or a homosexual it does not matter, because we are not justified through the law, but through grace, and if you are attempting to be justified by fulfilling the law, you are doomed to failure. Christ came for that reason.

Secondly, the Apostle Paul is in no way the "enemy that sews the tares". How dare you say that? You do not know Christ, and so you are illequipped to defend him. Take the mote of hatefulness from out of your eye before you dare to correct Paul, or anyone here on any sort of flawed doctrine. "He that says 'I love God', but hates his brother is a liar!" (and that was John who taught that, so you can't use your anti-Paul position to defend yourself).

Let me remind you that Christ specifically identified the "enemy who sews tares" in Matt 13:39, "The enemy who sewed them is the devil..."

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord. You are so certain of the truth you possess that you are as a blind man who claims that he can see. Surely the Lord uplifts the humble and resists the proud.

Sandra said...

YB,
I did take it as Thomas calling Jesus a drunk because he stated:

"If one only drinks at dinner why would they call him a drunkard if he was not drunk?"

I took it as meaning that they would not call him a drunkard unless he was and we know that the self-righteous religious leaders were trying to discredit him and slander him. They tried any slander to turn people against him and make his teaching invalid.

Quote"Let me remind you that Christ specifically identified the "enemy who sews tares" in Matt 13:39, "The enemy who sewed them is the devil..."

Please explain just how did he do that?

Did the devil himself just come down & start preaching false doctrine or does he have others do it for him. And all the wile they believe they are doing Gods work.

We all know the world is full of these people doing the devils work believing it is Gods work & maybe I am one of them, who knows but at least I will admit I could be.You can decide that for yourself as you should.

Or is it that you think the devil came down & had sex with humans & created some other impure race.
If thats the case then maybe I am one of them & then there is no hope for me because I am racially impure correct?

The nephilim means the fallen ones in hebrew. They were the canaanites who were Gods original chosen people but they fell out of grace & were destroyed by the hebrews. At least thats my understanding of it, nothing more & no giants. That was added by the greeks to fit their own beliefs.

Second question:
If you get drunk are you A drunk?

You say I accuse Jesus as if I think he did somthing wrong when in fact I do not see anything wrong with getting a little drunk once in a wile but you on the other hand do.
If Jesus never got drunk(although if he had just 1 glass of wine MADD would classify him as drunk but thats another story)then I am wrong in believing he may have gotten a little tippsy after a dinner.
Now if he did actually get a little buzz on after dinner then you seem to think it would have been wrong therefore he couldn't be the true Messiah.

You see your thinking is more in line with the pharisees of the time. When they saw him drinking(& maybe he could drink a whole bottle without getting drunk, who knows?)they thought it was wrong therefore he could not be the messiah.
This is exactly what he ment when he said what he said, think about that.

If Jesus returned today & sat down in a bar with all those sinners & started drinking & preaching to them would you say"that cant be Jesus because he hangs out with sinners, drinking & what not".

Isn't that exactly what the pharisees said?

Wasn't that Jesus's point in what he said?

By the way I am not mad at anyone just discussing our different points of views.

IF I WAS MAD I WOULD BE SHOUTING LIKE THIS. LOL

I don't think we will agree about Saul but I hope at least now you see my point of view & at least think about it.

young brother said...

Thomas, let me clear some things up for you:

Josh wrote the post preceding this one, which introduced the topic of drunkeness. And I don't think you have even read the post that you are commenting on, otherwise you would realize how foolish you are being by teaching a lesson that doesn't need to be taught. For the record, my view on drinking is that in moderation it is not a sin. However, it seems like you may have been drunk when writing some of your earlier comments.

Your sarcasm, and closed minded antagonism isn't appreciated, and it isn't a laughing matter. I see your point of view, and disagree with it. I have stated as much. You seem arrogant, and very presumptuous. It seems that you leap to conclusions without working through problems. Reading your comments makes me think that you would much rather be considered as wise than to do the hard work of finding wisdom.

For instance, the issue of Giants you dismiss as "added by the greeks to fit their own beliefs"...Fist, Giants exist in the Torah, which is written in Hebrew. Second, Giants exist in many, if not all ancient histories and legends, not just the Greek legends. So unless there was a massive conspiracy by the Greek Empire to change all histories, cave paintings and legends in order to make them fit their fabled view...giants did exist. There are bones and artifacts that can only belong to real giants. I know it sounds crazy, but I don't care, because it's real history.

Third, If the devil has been so successful in twisting the Bible as you clearly believe, how can you possibly know the truth? How can anyone? What hope do we have? You seem very certain of your perception of God. Are you, therefore, claiming to be the Christ? Where do you get the authority of your beliefs?

My authority comes from believing that God is sovereign, that his scripture is protected from the deception which saturates the rest of this world. The bible is a life preserver of truth in a sea of churning half-truth and deception. I have dedicated years of my life to studying scripture, history, current events. That devotion has paid off. You cannot deceive those who have "eyes to see".

So unless you are here to reconsider your own beliefs, and to really listen to what others have to say in response, you are wasting your time here.

I will tell you once again: Repent! Snap out of it! Think deeper. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling! "The devil roams the earth as a hungry lion, seeking those he may devour". Paul said that. And Jesus said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand". Do you see what I'm saying?

God is very close, and he sees into the hearts and minds of everyone. This isn't a game. Nobody can fake out or fool God. Take him seriously, please!

My dear Thomas, if it were simply a matter of the word "Nephilim" being mistranslated as "giants" (and believe me, I have heard that argument before) then how do you explain Og, King of Bashan having an 18 foot long bed? How do you explain the description of Goliath, or the Sons of Anak, or the Canaanites? Twelve spies of Israel did a recon mission in Canaan. It took two of them to carry one cluster of grapes between them, and they reported that the people who lived there were so tall, that the Israelites stood as grasshoppers next to them.

That wasn't a metaphor. The old testament is absolutely saturated with references to Giants. And not only that, the Sumerian culture is saturated with accounts of Giants. The book of Enoch gives very detailed accounts of the fallen angels breeding with human women. Genesis 3:15 paints the future of human history, and God tells us that Satan will have children.

I am not deceived. I may be outside the mainstream of Christianity, but that is only because modern Christianity is not teaching the whole Bible. The Bible itself loudly proclaims things that man's wisdom dismisses as foolishness.

I have "educated myself". You are being dismissive, judgmental, and you aren't really listening. So do yourself a favor and reconsider.

Anonymous said...

In the dead sea scrolls Goliath is listed as only around 6'5".

There are basketball players bigger than that & just because someon has a large bed does not make him 18' tall. Maybe he had a lot of wives, they did that kind of stuff back then you know.

I am 6'2" does that make me one of them?
In fact I am swedish & not that tall in my own family, maybe all of us swedes & scandanavions are the nephilim & in that case we need to be wiped out is that what you are saying?

They are exagerations.

But if you want to believe in fairy tales go right ahead.

Since you like Paul so much maybe you will listen to him.

2 Timothy 4:2-4
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Maybe ole Saul was on to somthing here. Then maybe not, who knows.

You seem to be the one not listening. You did not even address one of my questions just spit out a bunch of repent & fear the Lord or face eternal damnation garbage.

If you are trying to be a preacher I am sure you will make a good one some day.

I will leave you to your fairy tales now you do not seem to want to discuss anything of sound doctrine.

The Nephilim is part of the broader story of control by the Serpent Seed which can be traced back to the very beginning of our period in history, around the time of the rise of the Sumerian and Babylonian Kingdoms. Whether they were actual "giants" is beside the point, and YB while the evidence is compelling, it may be difficult to prove. However, we do know that the Nephilim, Anunaki, etc. had secret knowledge, knowledge that they have kept hidden from the masses in order to control them. Our current systems of government, economics, etc were all created and controlled by them and their progeny. They are the fallen ones, the ones who are openly at war with the Lord and his saints.

Good point ND.

I apologize for getting side tracked in an attemp to explain the Biblical account of Giants, I thought that I was addressing Thomas' points, but I guess not. Originally he said that Paul was the "enemy" of Matt 13, which is a wicked thing to say.

Exhortation to repentance is "Garbage"?

*disclaimer*My views on Giants are not those of the other contributors to this blog.

That should have been said a few days ago (no point in assuming that it would be self-evident). I'm glad this conversation is over...it wasn't really that big of a deal, I've just been a bit on edge the past few days.

PursuingTruth said...

My view on giants is in agreement with YB. There is no question.

Sandra said...

You know I was hoping that one of the male contributors would have explained the issue raised by Thomas about women being silent in the gospel written by Paul. All I got was defending Paul without a serious look at the issue when it came to women that was addressed by Thomas. I personally don't have a problem with Paul because I view it as the culture that he was in and the view of women at the time. Women were considered property to be disregarded and not taken seriously.

Jesus treated all equal both men and women but we know from the accounts that even his apostles had problems with women and their place in society.

Personally I don't care about the issue of giants. I care about how we treat each other today in line with the teaching of Jesus. As Nathandave said "Whether they were actual "giants" is beside the point, and YB while the evidence is compelling, it may be difficult to prove.

Of course this is just my opinion

A prayer for all:

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day, I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this Day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. .
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others Keep me strong that I may help the weak...Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately.
I pray for those that don't believe
I thank you that I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
I pray for each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love, and joy in their homes.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it.
God, I love you and I need you. Come into my heart, please.

In Jesus Holy Name
Amen.

I hope no one here thinks that I thought that I think women should remain silent.
I was using that verse to show what I thought was an incorrect teaching of Paul.

I actually think that from what I have read here that the women here are more informative than some of the men & that last post from Sandra was a perfect example.

That was beautiful I was very much blessed by reading it.
Thank you very much.

YoungBrother now I think we can have a meaningfull discusion as long as you are not saying there is some pure race of God's people & an impure race of devils.
That was the sticking point for me.

Like I said earlier I believe that they were as Nathan said a people of great knowledge & once people of God who turned from the ways of God & became wicked & were probably destroyed by God through earthquakes & flood like both the story of Noah & also the story of Atlantis.

Here you have two ancient wrightings that seem to agree on this.

There were some left in Canaan & the hebrews finished them off, maybe or mabe not.

You see I am not closed minded as you have claimed me to be I am willing to listen.

Now when I say finished them off I do not mean by exterminating them I mean their knowledge was destroyed but it would seem that might not be the case & some of the knowledge survived & is being used by people like the freemasons & other secert cults & again as Nathan said are trying to use it to enslave the world.

If this is what you mean I am in total agreement with you.

Now I have a question for you.

When you said you disagree with my point of view did you mean my view on the pharisees thinking when I said if Jesus went into a bar & started drinking & preaching to the sinners?

It will probably be till tommorow before I can check back for your answer so you will have to be patient with me for I am sure just like you we have many other things to do.

Thank you. The prayer was not mine originally. It was sent to me through the email and I changed some it.

Personally I felt I was being dismissed in this whole discussion. Correct me if I am wrong but it is my belief that you believed Jesus was drunk or the religious leaders would not have labeled him a drunk. There is no evidence to support that and I tried to let you know my opinion on the issue. Than a battle took place on defending Paul and Jesus was left out and no defense offered on Jesus being a drunk except by FF.

If you had read the previous blog by Josh (Alcohol and the Bible) you would have seen in the comment section that I defended having a drink of wine and that I believe Jesus did drink wine and not grape juice. I believe the fundamentalist try and say it was grape juice to control their members. I don't think there is any evidence to prove Jesus drank in excess. I have been confronted before by fundamentalist on this issue of having a drink of wine and I have said "if it was good enough for Jesus it is good enough for me." I felt I was being judged by those self-righteous Christians and trying to label me a alcoholic which was not true. I only have one drink with a meal on the weekend. It just relaxes me and enhances the meal. I believe that is actually what Jesus did. He would never abuse his body and drink in excess. After all he is the Son of God and wants us to follow him.

I did not like the tone that this discussion was going. I have learned through my own experience with non-believers if you answer their questions as best you can without confrontation you might win a friend and eventually a believer. My own husband was a non-believer in the christian message because of the treatment of Indians. He watched my life and how I treated others and my total committment to the teachings of Jesus and he did accept Jesus into his life. It was through love and teaching in a meek kind way. It is not for us to throw insults out but to answer the non-believers questions and hopefully make a believer out of him/her. If not a believer than at least we put our best side forward. A little more kindness would be appreciated. Paul's truth will be understood in time.

Thomas,

I did not take your comments as you believed that women should remain silent and I am glad to see you have found a middle ground. There is a lot truth here and I believe you have found your way here for a reason. Have you been reading for a while or did you just recently find this site? Welcome, and may your heart stay open.

Sandra,

That was a very beautiful prayer (I'm certain it's your tweaking that made it extra special) and thanks for sharing it.

I was reading in Colossians and it made me think of you, especially verse 14:

Colossians 3:11-18 (KJV)

11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
****

Your love for the Lord shines on those in your life, evidenced by your testimony of your husband, and it shines here as well; you are a blessing. Love is THE key. Because He first loved us. Because Jesus is love and there is a lot of love in you.

The hearings were a joke as expected, but a feeble attempt is better than absolutely no attempt. We know that there is only one who can wage war with the beast and I believe Bush not being held accountable for any of it is a small piece of the prophecy. There is nothing that will stop him for prophecy to be fulfilled.

Interesting times indeed.

Thanks to all for this fellowship.

Thank you for the scriptures. I am far from perfect but you are a blessing to me. I have to admit sometimes I just want to be quiet but the Lord gets to dealing with me and I end up writing. The last verse just speaks to me:

Sandra,

The 17th verse made me think of you also. While I love you lots, my interpretation was that showing love brings us closer to God.

I don't know about anybody else's areas, but there are so many houses for sale in my area and there seems to be more 'for sale' signs each week. A friend mentioned to me that she has five houses for sale in her one block radius. All I can think, is where is everybody going IF they can sell their house. There was an article I read the other day that I know will make you all breathe a sigh of relief, Bush said that the housing market where Laura is looking for real estate in Texas isn't affecting them - see, so all is good.

Last week of the grove...

Love to all.

Sandra said...

FF,
Yes that is so right. Showing love does bring us closer to God. It is easy to show love to those who agree with you but it takes effort to show it to those that disagree with you but that is what we are instructed to do. To agree to disagree without compromising our principles but to still care for the individual.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 13:10

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

Sandra if you are asking if I think he got falling down, passed out, throwing up drunk the answer is no.

I believe he probably had more than 1 or 2 when he went to these dinners with these people because that what they did at the time.

They would eat then sit around & have a few drinks & discuss.

But lets say he didn't even have 1 drink. It would stand to reason that at some of these gatherings to eat with these people a few of them may have had a little too much to drink.

Now Jesus spoke out against many things when he was at these little gatherings but never once said a word about people being too drunk.

Now if it were so important to not get drunk don't you think he would have said somthing about it & not leave it up to Paul to come around & straighten everthing out?

Thomas

Sandra said...

Thomas,

I am just saying that Jesus was not a drunk. You were explaining because the religious leaders called him a drunk that it must be true. They said a lot of lies against him which were not true. I am just saying he was not a drunk as they accused him of being. Drinking is not a sin...you are right he did not mention anything on it but I think we know now that drinking in excess causes health problems and causes weakness in judgment. Jesus said we would know the truth and the truth will set us free.

Paul says that they should be, "not indulging in much wine" (1 Timothy 3:8). Women are similarly warned not to be "slaves to drink" (Titus 2:3). Those words imply that drinking some wine is acceptable. But the warning is this - don't go too far with your drinking!

The apostle Paul warned of legalism in the churches: "do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink ... Why do you submit to regulations, 'Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch'? All these regulations refer to things that perish with use; they are simply human commands and teachings. These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-imposed piety, humility, and severe treatment of the body, but they are of NO VALUE in checking self-indulgence" (Colossians 2:16, 20-23).

We now know the danger of drinking to much. The key is DANGER. All kinds of health problems. I have no problem with Paul as a follower of Christ to warn against too much drinking.

Is it ok if I call you doubting Thomas when it comes to your view on Paul?

Greetings all,

I wonder if this staged 'second coming' is the reason why all television sets have to be converted to digital in early 2009? Most likely one of the things we have been warned about; don't go believing He is here just because someone says it, for I believe when He arrives in all His glory that there will be alsolutely no denying or mistaking it in any way. The whole world at once will know He is here. Amazing and how blessed that we will get to witness it.

Once again, the media and technology will be used as their tools. Everything they have ever done has probably been for of this event, if it is indeed how their pathetic plan is revealed.

I had a conversation the other day with someone who believes that America was founded on Christianity and I asked her how that could be when many of the founders, if not all, were Deists. Deists believe in God for their creation, but that is where it ends; the rest is up to mankind. They have always believed that the three major religions are cults because they are based on fairy tales, things unseen. Deist's beliefs have more in common with satanists they way I see it. Ali's article stated that those behind this elaborate plan are going to show people why the three religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) are false and it seems to be of the same belief as the Deist's. If anyone has more info on the Deists, I would love to hear.

The link below can give you some meaning. The meaning to me is do we take the illusion that is fed to us or do we search for the truth. Ali has been giving us links and has asked a similar question. You have even mentioned that we should look outside the box (TV) and search for the truth. Do we take the blue pill and accept the reality that they feed us and live in a illusion or do we take the red pill (to me the red letters of Jesus in the bible) and question our reality that is being spoon feed to us. I believe people here have chosen the red pill of truth.

I tell people what do you want the blue pill (illusion) or the red pill (the truth behind the power structure). The choice is always ours and God gave us free will to make that choice. That is just my meaning.

Awaken now ye truthful souls
The time has come to prevent their goals
For 200 years they’ve distorted the truth
They’ve lied and cheated, they’ve perverted our youth.

Of whom do i speak, the question you ask
The ILLUMINATI exposed at last
“The who” you say “what are they”
Evil people, that regard us as prey.

Come now ye people, open your eyes
Clean out your ears and hear their lies
How long must you bow to their evil deeds
Clean out your garden, remove the weeds.

The Bushes, The Blairs are but a mere speck
Scratch the surface to reveal the rest
The Zionists and Freemasons to name but a few
There’s a web of deceit conspired by a Jew.

911 came first, 7/7 did follow
With terrorists, knife crime and immigration to grow.
The fear that they’re spreading is part of their goal.
A world wide government with us to control.

Fear nought, ye people of morale stock
As soon the redeemer will bring us to flock
Have faith, rejoice and stand your ground
As Satans spawn will be brought down.

I apologize for my participation in the "battle of the Giants". My temper is one of my greatest weaknesses. Sandra, I agree with you that there are better ways to deal with people that don't yet see eye to eye with you. I understand that...but sometimes it's difficult to keep it in practice.

Thomas, my view on the Nephilim is way more out there, and way less plausible than your stance. Let's not open that can of worms.

I hope that everyone here has been doing well. We're a little over 1 month away from the 7th anniversary of 9-11. I try to stay away from target dates (although it's tempting), but if I had one date that I would predict the next government sponsored "terrorist attack", it would be 9-11-08. I'm not going to say "Thus saith the Lord" on this prediction, unless I get a clear vision, and a command to say "Thus saith the Lord". However, 9-11-08 as the day of the next attack first came to my mind on 9-11-01, and as time has passed, and more has been revealed, it has seemed more and more likely.

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

"In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Annon, I know how you are ready to stand up and shout; come what may, just bring it on, you are ready and willing to go wherever and do whatever it is the Lord wants you to. I really love that about you. I believe it is going to be a very blessed time for His people. There is joy even while the world falls apart, as a matter of fact, the sooner it falls apart, the better...an end to this system of things. We all know it is going to be rough going, but yet we look forward to it because it is all prophecy, and we find comfort in all His ways, even tribulation.

Jesus told His disciples to get their swords because He knew how hard they were going to have to fight to spread His word. It is no different today. We might as well be speaking Greek to those who do not have an ear to hear, but it is important to test the spirit. Sometimes all it might take is a different approach to plant a seed, however small, and know that there is hope for all who call out His name even at the very last minute. The thief that was crucified with Jesus was a thief all his life but was rescued and saved just before his death because he believed Jesus was who He said He was.

The chains that Dan the man had hanging on him did not even allow him to realize the burden he was carrying, rather he was glad to continue to shoulder the burden for his own justification for his hatred, just as you said Sandra. The deception by satan is so strong that they cannot see that they are part of the problem.

Hate is the direct opposition of love, and we know that love comes from the Lord, and hate comes from satan no matter how you think you can justify it by righteousness, it is not possible. Hate is still hate by any other name and it is not of the Lord.

Prayers for all those who were at the church in Tennessee.

Prayers for all His people here who love Him and give me so many blessings witnessing that love and for the oneness it brings; how utterly and completely amazing.

Satan has had a death grip on the world for a very long time and it will not be loosened easily; like those that fight for the state of Israel cannot see that for which they fight (evil) because they are blinded; sent a veil of delusion so they cannot see for believing the lie. We hope and pray for all those who are lost that they too may be found.

Pakistan is already facing conflict from Afghanistan and now India...thanks for the hot-off-the-press article, anonymous. Was that you Annon? Convenient having NATO troops so close by.

Is it later this week that the US is practicing drills in the Persian Gulf? Are we still under an 'amber' light?

The footage from DemocracyNow! on the House Judiciary hearings on impeachment looked a little better today, but most likely they will prove fruitless, just as expected; right on cue. Another show to distract from the powder keg that's about to blow from somewhere soon...what we have been spiritually prepared for.

Our redemption draweth nearer; rejoice and be of good courage for the Lord is in control.

Love and faith is the armour that best suits this battle; we are made mighty in Him and He is with us.

A time like no other indeed and it's just starting.

Thankful y'all are there...sincerely.

As usual I forgot to sign my name.

The Pakistan problem is beyond what many may think. Its already, as you said, in some sort of trouble with the Afghans .The government of Musharaf seems to find itself between the rock and the hard place. The West has continuouly been accusing it for doing little to fight against the Islamists while the opposition and the general public accusing him for being the pupet of the West. Now the problem with India is the latest receipi for disaster in the region. In case of trouble with Iran, NATO may not be comfortable with the Pakistanis and their occasional move towards truce with Islamists in the tribal areas of the border. Hence, NATO, I guess, would prefer Pakistan's preoccupation in trouble with India. There is always a timely and strategic reason for any kind of conflict to kick off.

The mess is getting messier. And here we are "heading to heightened alert stage":

Annon,

Thanks for the links. That was an interesting opinion piece about the Microchip survivor . I don't think many see the writing on the wall that we are being programmed to accept the mark because they think it will make their life easier and safer. All around us is signs of the times and people are asleep to what is going on.

Ali,
I sent the link you gave us on the Bluebeam Project to all in my email address book and not one response. I was shocked when I found out about it and started searching for more information on it.

FF,
I could not agree with you more. To justify their hate.. people put on a outward face of righteousness. The man who went into that church and opened fire had books in his home written by rightwing radio/tv shows. When we make an enemy out of those we disagree with and spew hateful things out to justify our words we bring on this type of disasters. God is the judge. We can discern an opinion of an individual and agree to disagree but when we make an enemy out of the individual we have not followed the teachings of Jesus. We need to pray for Dan that his eyes open to his obsession. He turns more people off with his self-righteous attitude and causes those that are mentally disturbed to go over the edge. Did you understand that he has the illusion that he is going to be next to Jesus accusing others. I have to admit that was a testing point for me. I think I did lose it a little because I brought in the race card which I was not going to do. He still is over on the other site justifying his judgmental attitude.

1. Discern:
To see or understand the difference; to make a distinction between good and evil, truth and falsehood.

When we discern we realize it is time to walk away because they will not listen to your views but want you to adopt their views.

Stay blessed everyone
Love you all

Sandra my sister,

Not really surprised that you didn't get any responses about the 'blue beam project' as most probably believe it is nothing more than a conspiracy, and they relish that comfort. There is not bliss in ignorance; give me the red pill everytime!

Dan is back over there spewing the same line and Mhoram came on to shed some light regarding his hypocrisy. Many, many more like him; we are definitely outnumbered, but the truth is a mighty sword which cannot be shaken.

Yes, thanks for the links, Annon, and please keep up the good work. We appreciate all that you do, and love you to death.

Almost the same situation here, as FF said it too.

I am waiting to be educated on why I should listen to Paul as if it is gospel besides the bible says so & whatever the catholic church decides to put in the bible must be gospel.

Mark 12:35-40
Jesus: How Can David Call His Descendant Lord?

35 Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? 36 For David himself said BY THE HOLY SPIRIT:

‘ The LORD said to my Lord,

“ Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”’

37 Therefore David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his Son?”
And the common people heard Him gladly.

Beware of the Scribes

38 Then He said to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, 39 the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, 40 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

Jesus himself warned of the scribes.

YoungBrother said:(Third, If the devil has been so successful in twisting the Bible as you clearly believe, how can you possibly know the truth? How can anyone? What hope do we have?)

By the Holy Spirit thats how, you know this.

YoungBrother said:( because we are not justified through the law, but through grace, and if you are attempting to be justified by fulfilling the law, you are doomed to failure.)

Paul says:(Galatians 5
Christian Liberty
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.)

My parents had me cicumcised so according to Paul I am bound to keep the law & if I am doomed to failure in doing so then there is no hope for me any way. Is this correct?

Jesus said:( Matthew 5:19
19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.)

Again appears to be a reference to Paul.

On who sowed the bad seed.
( “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.)

(“He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil,)

Here you can plainly see that Jesus sowed the good seed(his teachings) but then after someone(the devil)sowes the bad seed(false teachings). This happens after Jesus so my question is how did the devil sow this bad seed & just what is the bad seed.

Now I have nothing personal against Paul & I know he had the best intentions in what he was doing & believed it to be work for Jesus but that doesn't mean it was.
There are many even now who do this like our friend Dan.
It is also possible that Paul's words were twisted by scribes to say what he did not mean them to say or what they thought he meant.

Now I am not closed minded & want to see your point of view but I will not blindly follow unless you can show me were & how I am wrong.

None of us know the whole truth & none of us ever will untill Jesus returns. We may both have a little truth that we can share with each other. We may both have things wrong but unless we are willing to accept that we will continue to be wrong.

I am now saying I may be wrong so please show me & I will listen but if you can't then maybe you should reconsider yourself.

Thomas...I really don't know what to say. No amount of argument, discussions, or point by point exchanges can lift a person who will not see into the light. If you want to know my point of view, you are welcome to read my blog (911antichrist)
I have been contributing to it for three years, with little impact. Most people just don't want to hear the things I have to say. So be it. Better to be dishonored now than in eternity. Every person will reap what they sew.

If you want to see how Paul could have been a valid apostle, you should pray for your eyes to be opened, and then re-read the writings of Paul. That may sound condescending, but I'm just trying to help.

Light is light. Even in a small amount. It is the power of God's truth. Better to have mercy than condemnation. Better to test yourself than to demand that someone else prove you wrong. You don't like the way I talk, so why do you keep asking questions?

YoungBrother said:(You don't like the way I talk, so why do you keep asking questions?)

Because you said:(So unless you are here to reconsider your own beliefs, and to really listen to what others have to say in response, you are wasting your time here. )

I really have only 2 beliefs & that is that there is a God & of this I am sure & second is that Jesus is the one Moses spoke of in Deuteronomy 18:15.

On Paul it really is not a belief just my opinion of Paul but I am always ready to reconsider & wanted to know what you had to say.

You said God must have had a reason for calling Paul & I have considered this & I think I got my answer so in a way you really did help me out by giving me the right question to ask myself & I thank you for that & will leave it at that.

To question if Paul is an apostle is not wrong just as questioning if Jesus is the Crist was not considered wrong.

Acts 17:10-11
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

If they were fair-minded for searching to see if what Jesus said was true how much more for searching Jesus's word to see if what Paul says is true.

People like Dan use Paul's words to justify their pharisee thinking but rarely quote Jesus or even know what Jesus says on a matter.

You said:(Most people just don't want to hear the things I have to say. So be it. Better to be dishonored now than in eternity.)

I know the feeling, this is somthing we have in common.

OK I will say no more on the subject unless you bring it up.

Thomas,

Paul is not to be worshipped but his writings are important because he was called by Jesus to stop persecuting his followers and he became a believer. What reason would Paul have of suffering insult and injury and being killed if he was not a follower of Jesus? Either you believe that Jesus confronted Paul on the road to Damascus and changed his heart or you don't believe it. That is where faith comes in. This issue was discussed in the bible. There were murmurings on Paul's role. Paul heard them and he wrote the following:

1 Corinthians 1:10 - 1:17

Taking Sides in the Church

Brothers and sisters, I ask all of you to agree with one another. I make my appeal in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then you won't take sides. You will be in complete agreement in all that you think.
My brothers and sisters, some people who live in Chloe's house have told me you are arguing with each other. Here is what I mean. One of you says, "I follow Paul." Another says, "I follow Apollos." Another says, "I follow Peter." And still another says, "I follow Christ."

Does Christ take sides? Did Paul die on the cross for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? I'm thankful that I didn't baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius. No one can say that you were baptized in my name.

It's true that I also baptized those who live in the house of Stephanas. Besides that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.

Christ did not send me to baptize. He sent me to preach the good news. He commanded me not to use the kind of wisdom that people commonly use. That would take all the power away from the cross of Christ.

I don't think your questions were absent from followers of Christ. I believe they did question Paul's role and motive because he did presecute the followers of Christ. I do think some questioned Paul's right to spread the "Word". Peter and Paul had their disagreements. Peter denied Christ 3 times but Jesus still used him.

It does bother me that Dan does quote Paul in his justification for his judgmental way but for me I follow Jesus and his teachings and believe that all truth will be revealed in the end times. As you said we don't have all the truth but we do have parts and we have to work it out among believers.

There are times when you just have to have faith and pray on it. Don't think I don't question some areas in the writings of Paul because I do. There is none infallible but Jesus Christ.

Yours in Christ

You are preaching to the choir on the issue of harmful substance in our water and food. I don't believe anything the so call regulators in this country say to convince us of the safety of our food, water and medicine. It is all about profit and consuming and getting people to buy their product including beer. Don't even get me started on medicine because that is such a racket. All the advertising to convince people they really need to get on a certain medicine and then how fast they explain the side affects.

I agree with you and most on here have discussed these issues before.

Yours in Christ

Anonymous said...

Sandra I agree with you on most of what you say.

Paul obviously believed in what he was doing as I said before.
He may have just mixed in some of his old pharisee beliefs in what he was saying.
Also as I said that scribes could be the culprit in translating what he said.

Example:
1 Corinthians 5:4-5
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

The word deliver here should really be leave so it reads leave such a one to satan for the destruction of the flesh

Do you know how many people were killed using this passage?

Now that is not Paul's fault because that is not what he meant.

Now can not satan appear as an angel of light?

We know that the original apostles knew Jesus & heard what he said first hand but as for Paul there is no garantee that who he saw was actually Jesus.

Not saying it was or wasn't but I prefer to just keep to the 4 gospels because you can't go wrong there.

Again this is just my opinion.

Sandra,

When we sit down at that meal with a glass of wine, I will tell you about all the joy you have brought me by watching you grow and how many times it has given me tears of joy witnessing your testimony (the truth resonates so deeply you can actually feel it), and how connected I am to you; always have and it still amazes me and this is how we know it is a blessing beyond compare and a great, wonderous gift from God...without a doubt.

This gift that we all share here with each other is a joy like no other, and yet, it is but a small taste of what He has in store for His people. It is hard to imagine a joy being more complete than what He has shown us already, but I believe it is to increase even more so until His glorious return. It seems the worse the world gets, the more He is lifting us up. It's a win-win situation; an end to this rotten system of things and Jesus' will being done on earth. I rejoice. Jesus is the light unto our path.

As for me, I accept the whole Bible with the faith of a child as being God ordained. I am not saying it is wrong to question because it helps us grow, but I never knew that people had such a problem with Paul's teachings. I knew that some Jewish people rejected it because some resented the message going to the Gentiles, but I never knew the message itself was questioned.

The blessings are more than I deserve.

Young Brother,

Who was the other caller? Someone from the blogs or an outsider? May this ministry you are endeavoring upon in Jesus' name grow in leaps and bounds.

Indeed, time is growing short and I can believe that your prophecy of 911 will come to pass. We have been warned that it will be a time like no other, but we can find peace and rest in His promises. He tells us some will be martyred and for the others there is protection under His wing. I accept whatever is coming with gladness in my heart for He is in control. He suffered greatly for us and I am willing to do the same for Him.

I can't wait to hear who the other caller was...I had to step away from the computer for less interference and did not get to hear the other caller. I love the show and watching the good fight being fought. Onward soldier...

YB,
Thank you for your encouragement but I have to credit it to the Lord. After you responded to Thomas I did as you requested Thomas to do and went to God in prayer. After that I went to the bible and opened it to the scripture where Paul becomes aware of followers questing his ministry. After that I went to Acts that was written by Luke about Paul's conversion. It was Luke explaining it not Paul.

FF,
I too accept the scriptures but there are passages that those that want to use their judgemental ways use to justify their hate. We know that the catholics did so much harm in the dark ages and they quoted certain parts of the bible to torture those they called heathens.

Questioning is never wrong but helps us all in our faith. The only one that can truly show us the truth is God our Father. I do go to him and sometimes just say I am confused please help me and clear my mind to your truth. Jesus is the way and the truth and with him we will never be deceived. Glory to his name.

Judge Judy's flight response was working quite well! It's an indication of how on edge the world is waiting for the next bomb to drop; absolutely no pun intended as it is not a laughing matter - the whole world is tettering because of one man and that one man is George W. Bush. Some might say I am just another 'liberal' who blames him for everything that is wrong in the world and the would be completely accurate. I wouldn't even take any offense at it because it is the truth - the whole world is on edge because of the policies of this man beast. Everybody senses something 'big' if they are willing to talk honestly and openly.

I think the video is also an indication of how the rich and prideful are going to be in a more severe state of shock once the 'big' thing happens as many members of the audience remained in the room and did not seem particularly shook up - especially compared to 'the judge.'

Imagine what the movie stars will react when they are made equal to the bums on the street because their money is worthless.

I read an article the other day that the gov't is tracking those who are buying gold and silver in any amounts. Did everyone hear that the mortgage and housing bill that Bush signed in private has provisions that not only help tighten gov't control of the financial institutions Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, but that it requires all credit card purchases made be reported to the IRS. Make it look like they are trying to help (probably really upsets Bush because he was going to veto it), but they get yet more control and more surveillance. You never really get something for nothing - especially with this administration. But, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave us something for nothing. All the riches He gives us can be taken with us when we go. This world's riches are going to leave them before they are gone not even giving them the chance to take it with them when they go. That will have to be a very empty and scary feeling for many who have trusted in the almighty dollar rather than the Almighty God, and we will be there for them, those who are blessed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It will be the most rewarding work we will ever have been blessed with to perform. In His name and for His glory, all for His glory.

His light and His peace will be upon His people; He will not forget us and just as the Church of the Philadelphians in 70 A.D. persevered the persecution, so shall we. If we believe His promises, and we do, there is nothing to fear because He is going to make us mighty. Aren't we going to help in making His enemies His footstool? We cannot do this ourselves for we are nothing without Him. He will make us mighty. We are going to rock for the Rock on which we stand while the wicked sink in the sand.

Hey sister Sandra, feel free to change the subject anytime.

Love to all.

August 1. Dennis Kucinich will present articles of impeachment against President Bush.

May the power of his and our testimony and witness against the crimes of this Beast prevail and may he thus be overthrown. Amen.

That was avery good point Sandra.

I actually do like acts & feel it is accurate & true.

Also got me thinking about another thing.

The catholic church has many letters wrote in Paul's name that are not in the bible as most agree that they were not wrote by Paul.

So it is also possible that some of these letters that are in the bible may also not have been wrote by Paul himself.

It was the corrupt catholic church that put all of these together & to me they(the church) can not be trusted.

There are other books left out of the bible that I also like.

The Epistle of Barnabas is a good one & Barnabas worked closely with Paul so that is another reason I should not be so down on Paul.

See I knew you guys could help me out here.

If you have never read THE EPISTLE OF BARNABAS & care to here is a link to it.

Hello everyone,

In the news today I came across this:

"..ExxonMobil's second quarter earnings excluding special items were a record $11,970 million, up 17% from the second quarter of 2007.."

Notice how bitterly they have used millions instead of billions!

I need to mention ExxonMobil corporation has gained this amount of profit through Saffron reselling!!!

I believe in the power of prayer. So I'm going to ask this group to pray for me. My temper is the strongest foothold of my flesh (it flared up this morning with my roommate). I have handed that weakness over to God for him to transform, but I think that if you all could also pray on my behalf for the transformation I need, it would help.

Among other things, this blog should also provide a place where we can request prayers of intercession from one another.

Sandra, it's wonderful to let the Lord give us answers, to seek him for guidance and follow where he leads. Your testimony is a blessing.

You have my prayers, Young Brother.

Sandra said...

YB,
You will be in my prayers. The Lord is good and all of you are a blessing to me and help me so much in my walk. It is not one of us but the body of Christ as a whole that gives us strength.

FF,
Wow you were on fire last night. Your testimony is so inspiring and helps us to focus our life on the Lord. Your statement: " We cannot do this ourselves for we are nothing without Him. He will make us mighty." So true and all glory goes to our Lord who leads us in all truth...rock on sister!!!

Thomas,
As FF said you were guided here and glad all of us were able to help you but all glory goes to the Lord. As FF said "we are nothing without him". Keep searching and you will find the truth and love that the Lord has for all who follow him.

Had an incident yesterday and into the evening. A guy who killed someone was hiding in my neighborhood and police were all over the place. Don't even know yet if he was even caught. The world is going mad and there is no love in so many hearts.

Prayers and Blessings to all

Thank you for that link. Brought tears to my eyes. We know our home is with the Lord and that we will find beauty, harmony and love for all those who follow him.

God Bless you sister. I needed that.

Indeed, Sandra, the world is growing colder in a big way. People are getting desperate and it will only get worse. It is not going to be pleasant to witness which is why we have to keep our focus on the Lord and His promises.

I am blessed by your spirit understanding my spirit so well.

Thomas, please accept my apologies; I wanted to say thank you for that link.

Love, prayers, blessings, His peace to all; every one a gift.

I am glad you enjoyed it Sandra, it affected me the same way. I think we all want to go home for we so well know this is not where we belong. Just saying the word "Heaven" conjures up a peaceful feeling. The Prince of Peace, the One we love and worship, does not want for His flock to be shaken, watchful yes, but not shaken. As His people we know and believe that God knows everything, so He has to know how hard it is for us not to get shaken when we start to witness the things we are witnessing, much less what is to come, and why does He repeatedly tell us not to be shaken or fearful...because He that is in us is greater than he who is in the world. God is in us, with us, all around us and we have to have faith that He is going to hide us under His wing where the devil cannot even look for us, and/or He is going to raise us up in ways that we can't even imagine yet. We can't be used if we are fearful because we are not trusting in the Lord and all His ways. As for me, I will not fear because the Lord has told me not to. But I still want to go home, but until He comes to take me home, I choose to rejoice in His faithful love and promises; look at the joy He has given us here. There is more and the best is yet to come.

I appreciate everyone's prayers. I have found a really good article summarizing last year's Nine Inch Nails album, Year Zero. It paints a picture of a future under the rule of a New World Order. The music is excellent, the story is eerily similar to what we see. The article is here:

FF,
Thank you for that link from Salon. It is on the news today but no mention of the link with ABC or how it lead up to the Iraq war. It is like Ali said we have to go behind the news to get the truth. People just buy into anything the news reports without going deeper to find out what they are not saying. The Lord is keeping the faithful from falling into the spin machine of network news by the work of his followers to go beyond the headlines..

Thanks to all for their watchful eye on the news behind the news.

Dear Nathandave,

I have read a lot about Dajjalism but most of this video was unfamiliar to me. Thank you for sharing it, Nathandave.

There is such a strong belief in Islamic teachings about the fact that "No one, except God, exactly knows when will the 'emerge' occur" although we have been given cautions about its signs.

This saying from Shia's Imams that (The emerge will occur at the time no one would expect) is an indication of this statement.

Hope to see more knowledge revealed .

Keep the faith,
Ali.

The radio reported that today was the deadline for Iran to give up its nuclear program and they responded with 'not one iota.' Whether this is true or not, it is setting the stage.

I had read an article that essentially said that we have sold Iran everything to make the reactor but we are denying them the fuel to run it; like having a car but no gas to run the engine. But they have figured it out on their own and this is what Washington and Israel are complaining about. Whether Iran is telling the truth or not, does not matter. Everything has been done to reach this point. The stage is set and things may start to move quickly. Continue to be of good courage for He is with us.

All my brothers and sisters working together in the Body of Christ is a blessing to behold and gives joy and peace as we are many that come together as one.

I pray for His love and peace to be upon every one of us.

I hope everyone takes a few minutes to read the article from Rense that Ali posted just above. Thank you Ali; and may God continue to guide us, each and every one to bring Him the glory that He so justly deserves.

Whenever the day comes for that which we have been prepared, God will raise us up; of this I am certain. If that does not make you feel ready and empowered, you just might be dead. Fear not for He is with us and will sustain us in ways we cannot fathom yet. Our God reigns.

Love and peace are coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

FF,
I read the article that Ali linked us to and my HOPE is that this will not happen. I thought the last paragraph was interesting and so I will put my hope in Jesus and pray that this does not happen.

Last paragraph in the article:

"The numerology of 888 also represents the Greek name of Yeshua, Jesus and so perhaps we can hope that Higher Truth trumps evil on this fateful day. And with the prayer of all people of Compassion, together with a widespread call for total Gandhian nonviolent non-cooperation with the DarkLords and Oilyarchs of death and destruction, then even now, this next impending catastrophic and catalyzing event can perhaps, perhaps be forestalled."

Love to all

faithful forever said...

Sandra - greetings with love my sister,

That is the paragraph that resonated so deep within my Spirit also, Sandra. There is another one of us out there...we may be few but we are going to be mighty and maybe not as few as we think.

The earthquake in China was 88 days before the Olympics and many Chinese believe this to be a very bad omen.

What will be, will be and we pray for the courage to accept that which we cannot change. Nothing really would surprise any of us here too much and we should be living each day like it could be the day our Lord arrives. Our faith comforts us in knowing that God is in control and He will not abandon His flock no matter what satan is plotting or doing.

Rejoice, for when the devil knows his time is growing shorter, the Lord's return is getting closer.

I know many people believe that the total eclipse is a sign of something also. I also know that many people here have been experiencing a quickening of sorts and I believe it is for a reason. I would be lying if I said the thought of what we might be about to witness does not conjure up an array of emotions, because it does. But mostly a feeling of empowerment and excitement or maybe it is jubilation at the prospect of substantiation or vindication from the Lord, but whatever it is, it is definitely not fear. All our trust and hope in the only thing there is to have trust and hope in as this fallen creation is destroyed, The Almighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will hear our voice when we call His name. Of this I am certain.

Love and His peace to all.
