WHEREIN DWELLETH RIGHTEOUSNESS

2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV)
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Hebrews 12:25-29 (KJV)

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.  For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Amen.
There is nothing like the word of the Lord to empower, strengthen and comfort in ways anew every time you read them.  The Bible is truly a living book for it comes alive within us when we read and our spirits are fed.  Much in the same way when we take in nourishment for our physical bodies, the word of the Lord nourishes and feeds our spirit that lives within us. I love all the words of the Lord and all His ways.  I yearn for the new earth and the new heavens and groan in ways only He can comprehend.

Looking back over the course of the past ten years, it is hard to believe that so many still do not the truth of what really happened on that day, those who still believe the lies.  I watched a few minutes of the memorial for 911 taking place in New York and seen Guiliani reciting Psalms.  I thought that was curious enough in and of itself, but there was quite a bit of ruccous caused over clergy not being allowed to speak at the event but those who perpetrated it can read from the Bible.  I didn't watch for very long but had the thought of how 'they' are tempting God in ways we do not even think or know about.  God knows everything. He sees all and is in control of it all.  He will not be mocked.  And there will be no place for them to hide themselves from His wrath when the appointed time arrives.

Stay strong in the Lord and never give up hope.  His people will not be ashamed and He will not be ashamed to be our God.  What a glorious thought; what a glorious day that will be.

2 Peter 3:28 (KJV)
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory both now and for ever.  Amen.

For when this corrupt earth passes away and all the things that can be removed are shaken and destroyed, the mighty word of the Lord will remain.

I don't think Guiliani had anything to do with this, he was too low on the totem pole, he was caught by surprise like everyone else. He jumped on the bandwagon later to exploit his handling of it on that day, like the opportunist that he is. Even Bush didn't directly authorise this act, he was a dupe of other forces that used his subconcious hatred and bigotry to pull together the permissions given to the darker elements. However, such and act can only occur if it was present and conceived in the mind of at least one human...Dick Cheney fits that profile much better. The unseen cohorts of the VP had much sway over the flaccid mind of W, and used the office of the President to initiate an unseen war on the astral plane that was brewing for centuries between rival dark forces. That war spilled out into our world on 911.

David,

Obama's priority is the destruction of the political arm of the cabal, which is the Republican Party. He cannot use force, denigration, humiliation or any form or underhanded tactic. To use any of these is tantemount to joining the enemy, and fighting fire with fire. His only option at this stage is to let them self-destruct...which they are doing quite nicely. He cannot ignore any of the established institutions we have in place to protect the citizenry, even if this were to speed things up, the end may not justify the means under any circumstances. Obama is a grand spirit with a destiny like all of us, and he is not going to jeopardize the entire process, which was in the planning stages for many decades, just to get a quick kill, and become a sucessful political expedient. His apparent weakness, as seen in the eyes of those that don't understand the Christ principle, is merely an elaborate fly-trap to reveal who stands where and with whom. Stay tuned...the bomb is about to burst.

Who do you think is on the board of directors of banks...democrats? A man who spent his life in poverty...is now a shill for the wealthy? A man who has an endless list of socially conscious programs to offer...knowing they will all be obstructed by the devil's crew, is not being bold? Three dictators fall in 6 months, and not a single American serviceman lost...not a big enough miracle I suppose.

If spoiled children don't ever feel the pain of lack they will forever remain oblivious to the urgent needs of others. It all has a purpose. Go with your original gut feel about the man, don't be sucked in by the media, they are under the direction of the darkside. Don't give up now Dave, the denouements are at the gate.

We feel that the road to technology.... has led modern society to a damaged and seared earth. Could it be that the road to technology represents a rush to destruction, and that the road to spirituality represents the slower path that the traditional native people have traveled and are now seeking again? Another great blessing from The Berean:

Matthew 16:24-25
(24) Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. (25) For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
New King James Version

He tells us to deny ourselves. This means we must disown and renounce ourselves and subjugate everything—all our works, interests, and enjoyments—to the standards set by God. Paul commands us to bring under our control every thought that opposes God and His way (II Corinthians 10:5).

Jesus also instructs us to bear our cross. We need to embrace the situations God has set us in, and with faith in Him to bring us through them, bear the troubles and difficulties that come upon us. Just as Jesus accepted His role, even to "the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:8), we need to be content with what God gives us to do (Philippians 4:11). As Paul says in I Timothy 6:6, "Godliness with contentment is great gain." What an achievement it is not to be driven by evil hungers!

God has called us to lay down our lives in subjection to Him. The supreme object of our lives is not our personal happiness or fulfilling our every desire. Our goal is God's kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), but notice what Jesus says next: "And all these things shall be added to you." If we yield ourselves to God's instruction and grow and overcome, He will fulfill our legitimate desires!

Matthew 16:25 shows us the two sides of this issue. Jesus says that if we insist on preserving our way of life, with all its wrong hungers and desires, we will lose it eternally! But if we take control of our mind and emotions and destroy our way of life—ridding ourselves of all the wrong hungers and desires that are against God—then God will save it eternally! The better option is obvious.

Satan has filled this world with hungers of every sort to tempt men, including the people of God. Hungers of lust, power, money, and fame seem inviting after the monotony of day-to-day living, but Satan's way is a trap, though an enticing one. It always looks good on the outside, but inside is sin, destruction, and ultimately death, eternal death.

God allows us to make decisions. He allows us to learn from the decisions we make—both right and wrong. The right decision to make about the wonderful calling and opportunity He has given to us is to yield ourselves under the mighty hand of God in faith that He will work in us. His work is always wonderful and good. Once we yield, we can set our mind to overcome, hungering and thirsting for righteousness. And God will satisfy us!

John O. Reid

Amen. Indeed and God will satisfy us. What a great God we worship.

How will this all play out...the changes that are coming to America as well as the whole world? Only God knows. But we do know that changes are coming. This way of life cannot and will not be sustained. People cling to it because we know nothing different and find comfort in status quo, but even the status quo is changing.

We could speculate forever about it will happen, as we have done in the past, but like I said, only God knows. It's a time of trusting in Him like never before; to learning how to listen for His voice; and having the faith to know that He is in control of it all.

I love watching it all unfold for it is all unfolding right before our eyes.

What a beautiful day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it...no matter the world we live in!

Troy Davis has been denied clemency and is scheduled to be executed tomorrow even though many have recanted their testimonies, a former FBI Director states his innocence along with even the Pope, but death and destruction are routinely desired outcomes. How can anyone kill an innocent person in good conscience...guess first you would have to have a conscience. Heavy sigh. Prayers for Mr. Davis, his family and friends and for God to move the mountain before tomorrow night.

A typhoon is headed toward Japan and close to half a million people have to be evacuated. Some scientists are saying Tokyo should be evacuated due to rising radiation levels from the Fukusheima plants, and the misery continues and is compounded daily with moderate and severe aftershocks.

India had a devastating earthquake yesterday and survivors were cut off by landslides making rescue efforts more difficult and I can only imagine the suffering from that. Guatemala experienced a deadly quake yesterday as well.

Ankara has suffered a bombing today with three killed and at least 15 injured.

The UN General Assembly assembles today to vote on Palestinian statehood. Last year Obama said he welcomed it and has now flip flopped on the issue. Even if the country I live in does not support Palestine, I do.

Israel is on high alert ahead of the UN General Assemby vote tomorrow on statehood for Palestine. Like I said, a tragic travesty this whole world.

I had a pastor tell me today that there are no end time other than the time you drop dead and that is your end time.

...like a thief in the night He comes because many are not even expecting Him to come. His people hear His voice and know that He is coming indeed. Again, just as in the days of Noah, the world will not listen.

Someone else told me today that it's a nice thought about Jesus coming back, but this life is all there is. Wow, if that's not depressing and yet she was fine with it.

So far lost. May we soon be found.

A (powerful) blessing from the Berean:

Hebrews 4:12-13
(12) For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (13) And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
New King James Version Change Bible versions

The Word of God is always an issue in our lives. The greatest gift a human being can be given is to hear this message, the gospel Message, because around it our belief system is to be conformed. The Word of God becomes an issue because it tests a person's life and sets the standards of acceptable behavior and attitudes.

Verse 13 contains a very vivid picture in "all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." In Greek literature, this illustration alludes to two things. First, it pictures a priest prepared to sacrifice an animal, so he has turned the head of the animal to put it into a position to cut its throat. In other words, the animal had to look into the eyes of its executioner, and he in turn had to look into the eyes of the animal.

The second, in some ways, is even more vivid. It is drawn from the Olympic games, in which wrestling played a significant part. In this picture, one of the competitors is about to be pinned. His opponent has a grip on him that has placed the loser's shoulders on the mat, and his face has been turned up so that he has to look directly into the eyes of his conqueror.

Everybody has to face God's Word directly. We can think of the Word of God as being the living Jesus Christ, since judgment of us has been committed to Him. We all must pass before the judgment seat of Christ (Romans 14:10). We are under it right now because judgment is on the house of God (I Peter 4:17).

What are we doing with the message? How is it affecting our lives? Is the world having such an impact on us that it is creating its fruit in us, perhaps apathy toward the things of God and great interest in the things of this world? As Revelation 3:17 suggests, the Laodicean is not lazy. He is rich in the wrong things, expending his energy on the wrong things. He even tells God, "I have need of nothing." Are we allowing the Word of God to transform us into His image?

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Yeah, indeed change is coming. But that change doesn't just come becuase a bunch "light workers" work overtime. Man, this world is ready for the wrath of God. "light workers" are not able to separate the wheat from the tares for they themselves must stand before the mighty God at the judgement seat. I found it strange that people still think things are or will be getting better if only there are more dedicated "Light workers" who tap from the "energy". What energy? That is bizzare and weird.

The world is ready for the wrath of God.

Interesting perspective. Are you so sure you will be safe?

The world certainly is deserving of the wrath of God. I am ready to see wicked be wiped out from the face of the earth which the meek will inherit. His wrath is reserved for the unbelievers; the wicked. The way I see it Annon is already sealed for protection and will be found worthy in some way to escape all these things that are about to come upon us. His love for the Lord is pure and genuine.

There are only two sides to this battle. If you don't have the One and Only True God as your Savior, then you are antichrist. But there is always hope for all. God will show mercy on who He wants to show mercy and will punish those who deserve to be punished. We will all get what we deserve from the righteous judge of all the world.

Yes indeed, a most exciting time to witness.

How much longer before the modern day money changers pull the rug out from under the world currencies? Europe has a deadline of two weeks to get their business in order. Greece sounds like it will default...even on bailouts. Gee, guess when you are broke and you borrow more money, you are just more broke than before. Debt is money system of things is good only until the controllers want to end it. And they will end it. There will be chaos.

Let it come so it can pass. On to a new heaven and a new earth. A new Jerusalem that comes down from the heavens that will open like a scroll.

ALL His words are mighty and true.

Soon all the world will see and every knee will bow.

Love and prayers to all.

Dave, a big thank you for those links especially the first one. I was not aware that there are more 'occupied' protests going on than Wall St. Seems the revolution has begun maybe. I did hear where the cops were getting aggressive with the Wall St. protestors.

'Just an eternal fire?' but that wouldn't be hell? Fire is a pretty uncomfortable element to reckon with I would say. And to answer your question, no I do not find it curious that people do not know whether they are His sheep or among the goats. What I find more compelling is that most people don't even think about it. Most people wouldn't even know what you were talking about without an explanation if they were asked.

I am a sheep. Not by anything I have done but for what the Lamb has done for me and I fully and completely accept the sacrificial gift He has given to me as well as each and every one of us. Sadly many do not want to accept but I believe that the prophesized Spirit of Elijah will change all that.

God's wrath will be the bowls that are poured out upon the whole earth. His judgement is either of eternal life or eternal damnation. Two sides with nothing in between. God knows everything; the hearts of all, and He alone will give life or take it away. This is why we should 'fear' Him. But I don't believe that 'fear' is what we think that means but rather complete awe and reverence for the One who holds that power to do so for He alone is the judge of the whole world, Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. Blessed be His name.

In love and peace in His precious holy name.

ff

Dave Wilcox said...

This is the way I see the passage:

The passage is not about punishment, but instead centers around how one treats the least of one's brothers and sisters, those who are poor, marginalized, oppressed, and forgotten. The key: Jesus is present in those who are forgotten, marginalized, and poor. Therefore, following Jesus is not about faith in the doctrines of men, or fear of God's wrath, but is instead about how you treat those who are despised in society. The key is love of God and neighbor.

The sheep are doing God's will and they do it out of love. They do not expect a reward because love is its own reward. When they are blessed by the Son of Man, they are surprised, because loving him was enough for them and they did not expect anything more.

The goats are surprised because they were sure they were righteous. they followed all the rituals, they believed the doctrines, and they judged their neighbors harshly. So sure were they of their righteousness that they cannot believe they are found to be hypocrites by the Son of Man. They did not see Jesus in the poor and outcast, because they did not associate with them. They neither loved God or their neighbor, and were found wanting.

Dave Wilcox said...

In the end, the eternal fire represents the cleansing of the world of the beleif that it is only faith that matters, and not how much you love God and neighbor. Love of God is shown in action, not confession. If I sin, and confess that sin, then I am forgiven. However, if I do nothing to change my behavior, then my confession is false. The "fire" of truth will consume my hypocrisy. Eventually, I will be exposed.

Christianity in the US is full of goats. They appear as sheep, but are instead ravenous wolves. As St Paul said in his letter to Timothy:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

The eternal fire is not hell. It means that the masks are coming off. No one will be able to hide behind the facade of "pretend" righteousness anymore. The test is: do you love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and do you love your neghbot as yourself. In that is summarized Jesus' entire teaching. Anything else is the doctrines of men, and will be burned in the fire of God's Word.

Anonymous said...

Beautiful testimony Dave, but what happens after one is exposed? No punishment for a wicked heart; just a mask removed?

ff

Dave Wilcox said...

No there is. And that is a real good point. But the punishment, or the reward, is the life you are leading, it does not come in an arbitrary manner on a whim from God, based on adherence to the doctrines of men. That is why the sheep and the goats are surprised,as each are rewarded according to the love in their hearts, not according to man-made standards.

The eternal fire represents God's Word, which burns forever, and is prophetically proclaimed by Jesus and his people, symbolized as the Son of Man and his angels. It feels like wrath to the Godless, but it is for their benefit.

Fire purifies, it turns gross metal into gold. In order for the goats to be saved, they have to face the truth, and that is painful, like being burned. The Devil and his angels represent false doctrines, lies, and oppression of the weak and needy. Someday, soon I believe, the fire of God's Word will destroy these spirits forever, freeing us to live lives of harmony, love, and peace.

The eternal word of God is a refining, fire. If they do not repent. if they are not able to see their errors, then they will suffer the consequences of their choices. It will feel like wrath, but in the end it will save them, eventually, as it will save us all.

Its hard to infiltrate a movement that does not follow a specific ideology, or have recognizable leadership. That is the genius of this group. They do not exclude anyone. There are Ron Paul supporters, Airline pilots, school teachers, believers, atheists, gay and straight, the strange and the painfully normal. Everyone is motivated by one cause: love of each other and a desire to make the world a better place, where people are free to live in harmony and prosperity together. They are sick of money, and politics, war, and organized religion. I think it is no accident that Rosh Hoshana is the holiday that announces the birth of this movement, since it announces God's righteous judgment. As the poor and outcast rise up and demand their rights, the hypocrisy and hate of the Elites will be exposed. With the internet, they will have no where to hide. And then you will see real change.

This scripture is appropriate for our time:

Matt 22:2-14 "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!"‘ But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. When the king heard that, he was angry, and he sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. "Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy. Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’ Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests. But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing, and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’ For many are called, but few chosen." Day 13 of the occupation of Wall Street. Growing by leaps and bounds the way it sounds although reporting is extremely scarce (go figure); and a large union has now joined the protesters. All day long I have been thinking about joining the protesters. I want to join them. Do I have the courage to walk away from everything and everyone to stand for my convictions? I honestly and sadly don't know right now. But I know I stand with them even if I can't be with there. Imagine if all us little people walked away from our homes and jobs; fed up with the set up! And a grand set up it is. I am glad to see it come to an end however it comes about, and it is coming.

Love and prayers for us all.

The Best Among Us........

By Chris Hedges
There are no excuses left. Either you join the revolt taking place on Wall Street and in the financial districts of other cities across the country or you stand on the wrong side of history. Either you obstruct, in the only form left to us, which is civil disobedience, the plundering by the criminal class on Wall Street and accelerated destruction of the ecosystem that sustains the human species, or become the passive enabler of a monstrous evil. Either you taste, feel and smell the intoxication of freedom and revolt or sink into the miasma of despair and apathy. Either you are a rebel or a slave.

The way I see it, the protesters are asking us to think about new ways of living and organizing our communities. Perhaps its time we begin to figure out how we can get along without THEM.

Either way, I am standing with them. The time is now.

Hi Sandra,

Yeah, Obama is fully in the pocket of money and wall street. All you have to do is watch the film Inside Job and you will see how the guys who caused the destruction of the world economy are all in positions of power in his administration. I still really like the guy, and I think he could have really reformed the system, but perhaps the system is beyond reform. Maybe he has no choice but to obey his masters because they are the ones who hold real power in the system.

And that is their weakness. Their power is held in a broken, decaying, dying system. People are ready for a change, hope and change right? This was Obama's message, the spirit of the movement was stolen by wall street, just as they were stealing people's 401 k's and the tax treasury of the US. No more, say no more! Do whatever you can to undermine them, except violence. Violence will give them the excuse to use their police state. Continue to love them while refusing to accept their control.

This is a great time to be alive. We can be the vanguard of a new way of life. We can honor the memories of all those in the past who were killed or oppressed while dreaming of being free. All those grinded under the heel of oppression, we can honor their memory by standing up, in whatever way we can, with love in our hearts. The time is now.

Dave,
That is right..a new way of thinking and living our life. It is about living a simple life and leaving behind this world of consumerism. Prosperity does not mean a bigger house, the latest model car, etc. It is time to go back to the basics, get out of debt and leave this economically system that is sustained by continuing to feed the beast of Wall Street.

The Lord will guide us in a new way of living and it will not be some leader who has been bought by Corp of America. Change has to come from "we the people" and who are guided by compassion and love for their fellow man. "They" want to keep us divided against each other and feed our bias. Time to wake up to what is going on. The main stream media ignored the Wall Street protest until this week. I had to find my news elsewhere and was frustrated with the lack of coverage. If a few teaparty protest outside of Congress the media is all over it but they basically ignored the Wall Street protest. Michael Moore and Ed Shultz finally went there and gave it support so finally the Media could not ignor it.

Members of a swank club look with amusement and disdain on on of the 99-percenter protests in Wall Street … while sipping champagne.
The men and women looking with disdain and indifference on the protesters deserve to be the face of the indifferent hyperwealthy in America today. There time is coming to an end. Here is the Link:

Obama wanted "change" and change he will get. It is out of his control now because he sided too much with the wealthy against the least among us.

We are the 99 %....hoping it stays peaceful and no infiltrations of bought protesters come in by the wealthy to give it a bad name. I believe they are capable of doing most anything to discredit the movement. God be with them and protect them. The people are too big to fail. Reject the money changers, throw over their tables.

Greetings FF and Dave,
I am on a roll today. Here is another link:

Read this article...it shows that before any protest there are forces of the elites who are trying to show violence and staging false raids to discredit the movements. Weapons of mass destruction being staged now in this country to fool the masses. This is their tactic now. The elites will do anything from having the people protest in mass amounts by this tactic.
