Shoes, Bush and Feet in Scripture. ,

Last weekend, President Bush made a surprise visit to Baghdad, sneaking in under cover of darkness, like *ahem* a "Thief in the night", to pay his final respects to a country that he has been allowed to trample into dust. The next day, during a press conference, an Iraqi reporter threw both of his shoes at the president, and was then tackled, arrested, and severely beaten while in custody. His imprisonment has sparked tremendous protest in Iraq, and people throughout the middle east have been praising the shoe thrower for his boldness and bravery.

When Bush dodged the first shoe he came back smiling, and avoided the second shoe easily. He then laughed it off for the media, and said something presidential about how he should expect such things from "a free society". He said he was in no way insulted by the footwear assault. Good job Mr. President. If we take his words at face value, and then move on with our lives, we could judge this situation as an example of Bush's light-heartedness, and love for democracy. But everything about this president's history should warn us against taking anything he says at face value. By digging slightly, you can come to know that the journalist suffered many injuries, including broken bones and internal bleeding after he was arrested in the so-called "free society", with freedom of expression that Bush insists Iraq now is.

My view is that Bush smiled because he knew what would happen to the man after his fifteen seconds of protest, and he delighted in seeing how his own policy of destruction was affecting his victims. I hold this view because George Bush is historically sadistic. He actually delights in the suffering of others. Evidence of this mentality comes from a variety of sources; most notably his ritual of "branding" new fraternal initiates with a burning hot wire coat hanger when he was president of the Yale fraternity, DKE. Another revealing example is Bush's 1999 interview with Tucker Carlson concerning the execution of Karla Faye Tucker. In this interview, Bush was asked about his decision to execute this professed born again Christian, despite her high-profile interview with Larry King just before her death, and the potential backlash among popular opinion. Bush mockingly recounts her begging for her life on that show (even though she didn't), and in that moment, with Bush's guard down, Tucker Carlson and his viewers were exposed to his real self, and his own personal sense of humor. As soon as Bush realized his blunder, he then tried to recover by saying that being governor was a tough job and he had to make tough choices. But the damage was done, and the evidence was on TV. These are just two examples of Bush's cruel heart.

But for me, the irony of this incident is that this event brings feet to the spotlight. What amazing timing, considering what is going on right now in the world, and what the promise of the great day of the Lord is all about. I've been working on a teaching about the feet of the body of Christ for the past few months, and I recently came across an already published and very well written expose by 20th century prophet of God, Bill Britton. This teaching is well worth the time it takes to read, and I will give a link to it at the end of this post. But first, I'd like to share a few of my own thoughts and scriptural connections.

------ The Feet ------

Almost four years ago, when I prayed to God for my eyes to be opened, and I enlisted my life in his service, I was coming before him broken and humbled by the selfish waste of time that my late teens and early 20s were. I felt like the prodigal son at that moment, willing to bargain with my heavenly father for a seat in his house, no matter how meager. In my prayer, I offered to be a janitor for the kingdom of God if he would but accept me, actually imagining myself to be scrubbing heavenly toilets, and seeing that as more valuable than the most comfort filled life that this world had to offer. I knew I was a sinner, and knew that God knew, but I really wanted to serve him anyway. It was probably the most significant prayer of my life. I needed God to be real in my life, and nothing else mattered compared to it. His amazing response to that prayer is the reason I am here now, writing this. But it wasn't an instant response; that happened about two or three days later when I stumbled across the Bush is Antichrist website (but that's another story).

The reason I'm mentioning this prayer is that while I was in a bargaining state, I also said that I'd be willing to be a part of the little toe of the foot of the body of Christ. I said that because at the time, I thought that the feet of the Body of Christ were not very honorable. How little I knew! Through reading the scripture, and listening to the teaching Spirit of God, I have come to understand that the feet of the body of Christ have special honor and purpose.

Those who are a part of the "feet" are those who will be alive on earth, overcoming the evils of a world ripe for judgment when Christ returns to manifest his kingdom. They are the ones who will be perfected in their natural lives, by nothing less than the power of the promise of Christ. I believe it is the "feet" that will bind up the enemies of God, preparing the way for the coming of the Lord. The feet will be anointed by the spirit, and be granted the power to invade and conquer the earth on behalf of Christ, for it is nothing less than the entire earth which is God's full and final "Promised Land". Remember how Jesus's feet were anointed with tears, and again with expensive perfume? Remember how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples clean the evening of the last supper? These were signs of something that was yet to happen in the greater story of Christ and his body. Have the feet been washed or anointed yet? I don't think so, but I believe it's coming, and I sincerely hope to be a part of it.

I believe that Satan imitates God to an obsessive degree. I also believe that there are patterns throughout the universe, and that there is a certain amount of balance and symmetry that pleases God (for why else would he have made things this way?) Paul referred to this phenomenon as "types and shadows". When you read the scriptures on an ongoing basis, you can see these patterns emerge.

One such pattern is in Belshazzar's dream in Daniel chapter 2. This dream ends up being a prophetic vision for the future of empires in the world, up to the point of their destruction and inevitable collapse. It is a vision of a great statue of a man whose head is made of solid gold, his shoulders chest and arms likewise of silver, his belly and upper legs are brass, his lower legs are made of iron, and his feet made of iron mixed with clay. In the dream, King Belshazzar sees a great stone, "not cut by human hands" that soars through heaven and smashes the feet of this statue, causing the whole thing to crumble and topple. It is upon this great stone that a new kingdom is built in place of the one that is destroyed. Daniel reveals to the king that this statue represents great empires, from Babylon through to the final empire that is trampling the world when God comes back to judge it and destroy it's hold over the earth.

In interpreting the dream, Daniel tells the king that it's talking about the future. It is a dream of a timeline, which begins with:

1. King Belshazzar of Babylon as the head of Gold. This gold represents a majesty and purity that gets lost over time, as the value of the body diminishes further down.

-> Likewise, the body of Christ began with the head, Jesus, who was perfect in his purity, like gold. So we have the starting point of the body of empire, and the body of Christ beginning with a head.

2. An inferior kingdom that will replace Babylon rises up second (Medo-Persia). This is represented by the arms and chest of silver.

-> In the body of Christ, it was the early, spirit filled church of Pentecost which rose up in place of Jesus. It had power and a strong anointing of the spirit, but was still populated by men and women who made mistakes. It was not as pure and superior as Jesus.

3. A third kingdom comes to replace the chest of silver. This belly of Brass (Alexander's Greece) is also inferior in value to the first two, but it shines almost as brightly as the head of gold, appearing more valuable than it is.

-> Introduce the Roman Catholic church, established by the counsel of Nicea, it rises to replace the underground, power-filled early days church. With all of it's government-backed power, and it's tendency for grand , shining, and magnificent symbols of it's divine authority, (combined with a staggering collection of worldly treasures), this historical part of the body of Christ reminds me most of a belly of brass.

4. A fourth kingdom rises up that is like iron. This is represented by two legs. It is very strong, and very fierce, but not very rich in it's own way. The upper parts of the body give this part it's value. So was Rome: a thief of Greek culture, a strong and uncompromising conqueror.

-> Likewise, (after Rome fell) in the dark ages, and during the reformation: The church split (like two legs), and strengthened it's roots in the world. It also took part in several ugly and militant centuries. This was a time filled with trials, accusations, crusades, witch hunts and inquisitions. Countless tribes were slaughtered in the Americas in the name of Christianity; their cultures were destroyed. The church was on a mission to move and conquer, much like the Roman empire. There was as much resemblance between this church and Jesus as there is between Iron and Gold. Because of that, the power and Holy Ghost manifestations known by the early church were but distant memories of glory days. Men of faith who knew and served Christ lived in the church at that time (as throughout all stages of this body), but they were often persecuted by the established order. Martin Luther and Saint Frances of Assisi are good examples of these men.

5. Finally, the feet of this statue are partly of Iron and partly of clay. As far as metal goes, it's pretty much worthless: no comparison between the feet and the head; no logical reason that these feet should be entrusted to support the weight of such a large, and strangely arranged statue, but they stand firm, until God acts.

Just the same, when Rome fell, there weren't many other major world empires. England expanded her reach throughout Asia and Africa, but never rose to the stature of Rome. likewise, France and Spain attempted to permanently spread their influence abroad, but weren't able. In the 20th century the British empire fell apart (in part thanks to the power of the spirit of Ghandi, who I believe is a forerunner of the feet of Christ). Meanwhile, empirically minded nations such as Russia, Germany, Japan, and America attempted to rise to the top of the world. All have fallen but America, which could be falling even now (because God may be acting right before our eyes).

My point is that a bumbling, sadistic, fool like George Bush is in fact representing, in our day, the kingship of a long and sordid tradition of great empire kingdoms throughout history. He has about as much structural integrity in his leadership as Iron-and-Clay feet have at the base of such a large statue. But yet, somehow, here we are, America is still an occupying empirical country unchallenged by the global community, the Economic heartbeat of our country determines that of the global economy, for better or for worse. We have about 5% of the world's population, yet we consume about 1/4 of all the world's resources. Against all logic this arrangement exists in the world today: somehow, some way, it has managed to stand so far. I believe this is because God has allowed it to be so, and is getting ready to destroy it in front of everyone. I believe that modern, institutional churches are in the same position. But God has something else in mind. The chains of empire are about to be taken from off of the backs of all oppressed people because that is God's plan, and the time for that deliverance is now.

The feet of the kingdom of men are about to be crushed by the kingdom of God. The feet of the body of Christ complete the body, and connect the head to the earth once again. People living on earth will be selected from the earth to be used by God to destroy this lineage of empire. Just like the mountain that is cut from the earth without human hands, and is hurled at the feet of this statue. Only by God could something like this be done, but by God this will certainly be done! Praise the Lord!

Please press on to read what Bill Britton has to say about the feet of the body of Christ in prophecy. I agree with his message, he says it very well, and he cites many scriptures throughout his teaching about the feet to back it up. You can find it in this link. May you be blessed and inspired, and may the Lord reveal to you the truth of this matter.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

Young Brother, wine was and is traditionally made by harvesting the grapes and trampling them with bare feet.

YB,
This is awesome. Your insight is amazing. I have started reading the link but it is quite long so decided to read it a little at a time to observe the full truth being spoken.

Annon,
I can't seem to get the picture on the link. It just spins but does not let me see the clip. Is there something I need to do.

FF,
This is in response to your last post on the other blog. I am humble by your love and acceptence and love you so much. Thank you for your understanding and I too had tears in my eyes when I read your response. It is so wonderful to be one in spirit in Jesus even if at times we stumble and make mistakes. We are here to learn how to truly love and forgive and you have demonstrated that by your understanding. Thank you my sister.

Balor,
His truth is truly marching on. We shall know the truth and the truth will set us free from the bondage that holds so many.

Love to all

Hi all, I'm so pleased that you were blessed by this. FF, you are such an example of steadfast faithfulness, I'm grateful for your fellowship. God Bless You!

Sandra, you might not have the latest plug-in for that player. You might also want to give it a few minutes to load. To summarize, president Bush was remarking on a gallery that has all of the American presidents beginning with George Washington. He jokes, "Starts with George W, and ends with George W". Annon, this is a chilling quote. Two years ago I saw that George W Bush is in fact the third man named "George" who has been president. The first was Washington, and the second was his father. The American Revolution was fought against "King George the Third"...I thought it was very symbolic that the third president named George would undermine the constitution by transforming the office of president into a monarchy. Anything could happen between now and Jan 20th.

Balor, excellent observation. That symbolism of feet in the winepress in the scriptures refers to the overcomer group. It's a piece of the puzzle; part of the deep mysteries of God that are hidden in the scriptures. I encourage you to read the Bill Britton link to get a better view of the other scriptures that reveal this overcomer group.

Sandra, thank you very much. I hope you enjoy the Bill Britton message as much as I did!

Wow. Who needs sleep?!

Annon, great finds, as usual, and Bush's comment is revealing in that he knows how short his time is and cares not about showing his horns that are surfacing for all to see.

I also believe it is of no small coincidence that ~they~ are saying Blackwater Worldwide contract in Iraq may expire at the beginning of 2009...back to whence they came - the (not-so) good ol' USA. Timing is everything as they say.

Those wonderful Holy Spirit chills have not ceased since being uplifted and strengthened by this testimony. I think you may well be a big toe our young brother, if not more. Thank you and I give thanks to our Lord and Savior for this tremendous blessed blessing.

Indeed, how many blessings can one day hold. Sandra, you are so kind and gentle, and I am so honored to be your sister. You have demonstrated the very same of that of your loving words to me. Thank you for your fellowship, love and understanding. And the tears of joy...I really enjoy tears of joy. It is our hearts overflowing. Life more abundant. We are connected in our Lord and I am amazed. Our God is so incredible.

Stay blessed and keep looking up. Indeed for our redemption draweth near, Annon. In the twinkling of an eye. I can't wait to meet you.

Wow. Do I love feet. I love feet in a whole new way. Now I know why when so many people have commented about hating or disliking feet or feet being 'weird' as quite a few have, I would always think to myself, but where would we be without them..who cares what they look like, or smell like for that matter. We have to have them and they serve their purpose quite well. I now love and accept them even more. As I do my feet company. Just when you think you are all filled up, He comes to give us more.

Keep shining every one. I love the Son in my eyes.

Wow.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Sandra during these times of many trials and difficulties coming from every direction. As well as all who are enduring hardships.

My area had a winter storm the night before and a layer of ice is still frozen on trees and wires; it is really beautiful to behold, but many still do not have power restored. Tonight will bring another 2-4 inches of snow they say with -30 wind chill tomorrow. Then another storm warning coming on Tuesday. Yep, nothing like life being interrupted to shed a new perspective on many things.

Are you getting some unusual weather in Oregon as well Balor?

I wanted to mention that the man who threw his shoes at Bush was quoted as saying 'this is for all the women and children you have killed in Iraq.' He faces two years imprisonment in Egypt I believe for insulting the head of a foreign state. Let's see - insults v. killing. Who should really be going to prison? Some have speculated that the shoe throwing incident was a staged event for distraction, but who knows. Things are out of whack everywhere.

...making me ever more thankful with each passing day for the Lord having placed our feet on the unshakeable Rock to stand in this quickly sinking world.

All praise and glory to God.

FF,
I just got the internet going again and packing to leave for the resort. I will be up there with family and friends so it will be good. Thank you so much for your prayers and mine go out to you and all that are going through difficult times during this winter.

It is beautiful to behold but not looking forward to the wind. We might not get it as bad as some areas but it is better to be prepared.

Love to all and if you don't hear from me in a while it is because of the weather. I will catch up with the dialog when I am able.

faithful forever:

Communism as a Jewish plot to destroy Christianity? Please! *rolls eyes*

Have you ever read Karl Marx? Here is what he wrote in 1843 in an essay, "On the Question of the Jews:"

"Money is the jealous god of Israel, beside which no other god may exist....

....Let us not seek the secret of the Jew in his religion, but let us seek the secret of the religion in the real Jew. What is the profane basis of Judaism? Practical need, self-interest. What is the worldly cult of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly god? Money.

Very well: then in emancipating itself from huckstering and money, and thus from real and practical Judaism, our age would emancipate itself.

An organization of society which would abolish the preconditions and thus the very possibility of huckstering, would make the Jew impossible. His religious consciousness would evaporate like some insipid vapour in the real, life-giving air of society . . .

We discern in Judaism, therefore, a universal antisocial element of the present time, whose historical development, zealously aided in its harmful aspects by the Jews, has now attained its culminating point, a point at which it must necessarily begin to disintegrate.

In the final analysis, the emancipation of the Jews is the emancipation of mankind from Judaism."

Marx was born to Luthren parents who were converts from Judaism. Techincally speaking he was a Jew because his mother was Jewish despite her conversion.

Does this sound like he was friendly toward Judaism?

What Marx was is an ATHEIST. What the Communist movement was and is led by are ATHEISTS! Not Jews, not Hindus, not Satanists or prudes - the international Communist revolution aims to destroy the material power of all superstitious.

Therefore, in spite of what appears on the surface, Marx was not anti-semitic. He was anti-religion, which he regarded as "false consciousness."

Balor,

Judaism and Talmudism are two entirely different things. Judaism gives honor to the Father but not the Son, and Talmudism gives honor to themselves (man making themselves God). Some could say this is atheist, but I believe it is satanic. The very thing the Lord warns us about, the Synagogue of Satan, those who say they are Jews but are not.

There is nothing new under the sun. ~They~ rejoiced at His death then and if given the chance, would do the same today.

It is not hard to fathom that no matter what they call themselves or how they try to disguise it, it is the same network that remains today.

faithful forever said...

Also, Balor, if that article is accurate, and I lean strongly that it most likely is, then you are right, Marx was not antisemite, but anti-Christian. Making him another antichrist to which there have been many of.

With love.

FF, that was a very interesting article. I had heard about the Jewish links to Communism before, but this article was a unique slice of that vantage point. It could be completely bogus, or it could be true. Please do some more digging to find documented, reliable sources in support of this view. When you are down the rabbit hole, there are a lot of dead ends and hateful rants. The style of this article doesn't seem to be hateful. I know a little about Zionists, and their ties with the Illuminati. There's a lot of smoke, but there is some fire.

Balor, what is your view on Zionism? You seem to have a knee-jerk reaction to a lot of these links and theories. Have you already researched these matters? Please share your own view. And thanks for the correction on Gandhi...my spelling used to be a lot worse.

Annon, interesting video link about the shipping market. Thanks for the shares! By the way, did you see Venus and Saturn aligned with the moon last month?

Hi young brother,

Many people have differing notions of what "Zionism" is. I will not give a definitive answer that is the "correct" response, but I view Zionism as Jewish nationalism.

I oppose nationalism when geographically interpenetrated peoples have claims to the same land. For this reason I oppose Palestinian nationalism as well as Zionism.

Regardless of what people feel about the legitimacy of the state of Israel, the Zionists achieved a fait accompli in Palestine. They created a state there.

The question remains whether the state they created must necessarily continue as a "Jewish" state. A secular state where no one religion is favored is the answer in my view.

faithful forever, what is the Talmud? It is:

"The collection of ancient Rabbinic writings consisting of the Mishnah and the Gemara, constituting the basis of religious authority in Orthodox Judaism."

One way to think of this is that the Bible was given by G-d. It has the most authority. The Talmud, in the crudest sense is merely commentary. It has less authority.

There are two Talmuds: the Babylonian and the Palestinian. They each form separate theories and methodologies of interpreting scriptural text when conveying their theological system by defining the Torah and by demonstrating its perfection and comprehensive character.

In the Jewish tradition, Moses received the Written Law and the Oral Law on Mount Sinai. The Written Law was there for everyone to read. The Oral Law was largely the province of rabbis and scholars and, as the name suggests, it wasn't written down.

By about 200 CE, things weren't going too well for the Jews. They lost their land, their government, and were well into the Diaspora by that time. It was about this time that the survivors, fearful that it would be lost, began to write down the Oral Law in the Mishnah. Later came the Gemara.

Here is an example of how it all works: Jews have a prohibition of mixing meat and dairy products in the same meal. It all stems from the commandment, "You shall not boil a kid goat in its mother's milk." The extrapolation of the commandment is to avoid cruelty to the animals used for food.

It still leads to the old joke: "Rabbi, I had a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and my girlfriend had steak. How long must we wait before we can French kiss?"

So what were you saying about "Talmudists," ff?

Dave Wilcox said...

FF, I enjoyed reading those articles, thank you for posting them. No doubt, Marxism is anti-christ, and I also commend you for your response to Balor's point. Looks like a good debate brewing.

Good explanation Balor. The Talmud is a collection of commentary on the Torah by Jewish Sages. It includes examples of Jewish Nationalism and Racism, just as the Old Testament and even New Testament does (remember the line from Jesus to the the Syro-Phonecian woman, don't feed the children's food to the dogs?) Such is the human condition.

Zionism was and is a political movement. Its entire philosophy is related to land and land alone. By this standard, it must be anti-God and anti-Religion, since the people of Israel are and have always been more than the Land itself. The land is a gift, and has little to do with the call.

Balor...you seem to have a lot of knowledge on this issue so would love to hear your views on this website.

faithful forever said...

I agree completely, nathandave; Zionism is a political movement. It twists the word of God for its' own benefits and is leading many people astray. Like the Talmudists, they hold to old teachings saying "God's covenant is ever lasting" which of course, it is, but the Lord fulfilled many promises with His death, but they continue to reject all His teachings and disregard the New Covenant as though it never happened.

The land and land alone philosphy is just one of the many areas they lead people astray with. These followers actually believe that Ariel Sharon was punished by God for dividing the land of Israel, and that the Jewish people are still God's chosen even though Jesus teaches us that there are neither Greek, nor Jew nor Gentile (paraphrasing) thereby not abolishing the law, but fulfilling it and essentially replacing it with the New Covenant that ~they~ so conveniently and easily reject. There is nothing new under the Sun; they rejoiced at His death and would do the same thing again today if given the chance. Many Jewish people reject the Talmud for it is not viewed as God-inspiried as is the Torah.

Excerpt:

According to Talmud scholars, the Talmud is the written form of the teachings of the Pharisees — the very sect of Jewish priests with whom Jesus of Nazareth argued.

Whole article:

http://www.comeandhear.com/editor/p_whatis.html

Also, from the Talmud, we are given the Noahide Law which makes worshipping Jesus a crime punishable by death and is viewed as idolotry or pagan worship as they still cannot and will not accept Jesus, a mere man, as God.

I had a more lengthy post last night in response to this subject, but lost power, and this is the best I could for right now. It is a very interesting subject to me and I have come to realize and believe that following these teachings keeps the Pharisee spirit alive and thriving no matter how they try to present it, a wolf is still a wolf.

Love in His precious holy name.

An excerpt:

Although Christianity was the enemy of Jews and Judaism for nearly two millennia, times have changed. The Vatican, under the current pope, a true friend of the Jewish people, has granted diplomatic recognition to the State of Israel, and Christian fundamentalists in the United States are among the State of Israel's most trusted backers.
— Rabbi Boteach (16)

Notice that when Rabbi Boteach refers to "the New Testament's insidious attacks," he does not mention the name of the person who launched the insidious attacks. That person who launched the attack against the Pharisaic Jews (Rabbi Boteach's religious ancestors) was of course, Jesus of Nazareth.

Going the Extra Mile
If Rabbi Boteach is too uncomfortable to mention His name, we question whether the wounds have been healed. For its part, the Roman Catholic Church seems to be willing to go the distance. The Jewish Week in a report on the 2002 Vatican document, "The Jewish People and the Holy Scriptures and the Christian Bible," states:

The new document also reportedly contains an apology to the Jewish people for anti-Semitic passages contained in the New Testament, and also stresses the continuing importance of the Torah for Christians.
— The Jewish Week (21)

What will the Vatican do next? Will Cardinal Ratzinger declare that the Gospels were mistranslated, that Jesus was misquoted, or that Jesus mis-spoke, and has since issued a retraction and apology?

Sandra said...

FF,

Yes we are getting a lot of snow. I Think I have 12 inches at my place and expecting more tomorrow night. This is unusual for this area and I am ready for it to end. Wind was not as bad in my area so thanks for the prayers..

This quote really gets me:
"The new document also reportedly contains an apology to the Jewish people for anti-Semitic passages contained in the New Testament, and also stresses the continuing importance of the Torah for Christians."
— The Jewish Week (21)

Jesus said it like it was and those who felt threaten (Pharisees and Sadducees) just could not face the truth of love, acceptance and forgiveness for all. That he talked and taught to those that "they" considered unfit to be in their company shows his feelings towards all. Sounds like the beginning of changing the teachings of our Lord. So are they saying Jesus was anti-semantic?

God Bless

faithful forever said...

Sandra, Sadly enough, that is the way it appears to me - beginning of changing His teachings and apologizing for what Jesus has said is unacceptable.

Why or how can anyone defend Zionism and/or Talmudism? It is sympathy for the devil in my humble opinion.

What is wrong with Jesus' teaching that our love for the gospel and each other is to spark jealousy in the hearts of the Jewish people so they may be compelled to seek Jesus. Not tip-toeing around them and enabling them in the wilderness.

It is like an old family argument which has long since become irrelevant. Christianity was a sect within Judaism.

Modern Judaism comes from the tradition of the Pharisees. But how much do you know about the Pharisees?

I'll borrow liberally from Wikipedia:

"According to Jacob Neusner, this view is a distortion. He suggests that two things fundamentally distinguished the Pharisaic from the Sadducean approach to the Torah. First, Pharisees interpreted Exodus 19:3-6 literally:

And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my own possession among all peoples; for all the earth is mine, and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."[7]
Or, in the words of 2 Maccabees 2:17, Pharisees believed that "God gave all the people the heritage, the kingdom, the priesthood, and the holiness."

The Pharisees believed that the idea that all of the children of Israel were to be like priests was expressed elsewhere in the Torah, for example, when the Law itself was transferred from the sphere of the priesthood to every man in Israel (Exodus 19: 29-24; Deuteronomy 6: 7, 11: 19; comp. 31: 9; Jeremiah 2: 8, 18:18). Moreover, the Torah already provided some ways for all Jews to lead a priestly life: the precepts concerning unclean meat were perhaps intended originally for the priests, but were extended to the whole people (Leviticus 11; Deuteronomy 14:3-21); the prohibition of cutting the flesh in mourning for the dead (Deuteronomy 14: 1-2, Leviticus 19: 28; comp. Lev. 21: 5). The Pharisees believed that all Jews in their ordinary life, and not just the Temple priesthood or Jews visiting the Temple, should observe rules and rituals concerning purification.

Second, the Pharisees believed that there were two Torahs. In addition to the Torah recognized by both the Sadducees and Pharisees and believed to have been written by Moses, the Pharisees believed that there was another Torah. They referred to the five books of Moses as the “Written Torah,” and the corpus of oral laws and traditions as the “Oral Torah,” because it was not written down but was rather transmitted by God to Moses orally, and was then memorized and then passed down orally by Moses and his successors over the generations. In other words, they did not interpret the Written Torah literally; rather, they asserted that the sacred scriptures were not complete and could therefore not be understood on their own terms. The Oral Torah functioned to elaborate and explicate what was written; it is unclear whether or not the Pharisees and later rabbis believed they were interpreting the Torah. The sages of the Talmud believed that the Oral law was simultaneously revealed to Moses at Sinai, and the product of debates among rabbis. Thus, one may conceive of the "Oral Torah" not as a fixed text but as an ongoing process of analysis and argument; this is an ongoing process in which God is actively involved; it was this ongoing process that was revealed at Sinai, and by participating in this ongoing process rabbis and their students are actively participating in God's ongoing revelation. That is, "revelation" is not a single act, and "Torah" is not a single or fixed text. It is this ongoing process of analysis and argument that is itself the substance of God's revelation. As Jacob Neusner has explained, the schools of the Pharisees and rabbis were and are holy

because there men achieve sainthood through study of Torah and imitation of the conduct of the masters. In doing so, they conform to the heavenly paradigm, the Torah believed to have been created by God "in his image," revealed at Sinai, and handed down to their own teachers ... If the masters and disciples obey the divine teaching of Moses, "our rabbi," then their society, the school, replicates on earth the heavenly academy, just as the disciple incarnates the heavenly model of Moses, "our rabbi." The rabbis believe that Moses was (and the Messiah will be) a rabbi, God dons phylacteries, and the heavenly court studies Torah precisely as does the earthly one, even arguing about the same questions. These beliefs today may seem as projections of rabbinical values onto heaven, but the rabbis believe that they themselves are projections of heavenly values onto earth. The rabbis thus conceive that on earth they study Torah just as God, the angels, and Moses, "our rabbi," do in heaven. The heavenly schoolmen are even aware of Babylonian scholastic discussions, so they require a rabbi's information about an aspect of purity taboos.[8]
Finally, unlike the Sadducees, the Pharisees also believed in the resurrection of the dead in a future, messianic age. The Pharisees believed in a literal resurrection of the body[9]."

Balor, I believe that nothing is irrelevant in the search for truth.

The scribes and Pharisees quoted from the law of Moses, but they didn't follow it in their doctrine or practice. The substance of their doctrine and practice was their own traditions, interpretations and rituals. Jesus swept all this human doctrine aside and gave the people His standard ("I say unto you").

And I listen unto Him.

The Lord affirms that His teaching is different from the instruction given by the scribes and Pharisees.

Thanks for the great discussion Balor, but I have to wonder why you appear to want to defend those who were not of Christ when the Lord Himself makes it perfectly clear that He set the new standard, and they rejected Him because they believed they understood better than Him.

Matthew 5:20
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 15:1-9
Clean and Unclean
1Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2"Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
3Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4For God said, 'Honor your father and mother'and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'5But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,' 6he is not to 'honor his father' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8" 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.

Matthew 16:5-12
The Leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees

5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. 6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”
8 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread? 9 Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? 10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up? 11 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?—but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Matthew 21:33-46
The Parable of the Wicked Vinedressers

33 “Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 34 Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35 And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ 39 So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?”
41 They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.”
42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

‘ The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the LORD’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’?

43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. 44 And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”
45 Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet.

Matthew 23:1-36
Woe to the Scribes and Pharisees
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ 8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it.’ 17 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold? 18 And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.’ 19 Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 20 Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it. 21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it and by Him who dwells in it. 22 And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
31 “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

faithful forever,

It is not a matter of defending those who reject Christ out of sympathy with them. It is a matter of defending people against slander and blood libel. Jesus would do the same.

It is not my place to argue for the Jews and make their case for them. They can do so for themselves quite well and quote from Scripture verse for verse their reasons for not accepting Jesus.

You can disagree with them without demonizing them. It isn't worthy of you.

Anonymous,

Thanks for posting all of Jesus' warnings against the ways of the scribes and Pharisees. The very first one you posted from Matthew 5:20 was the very one I was working from. Great work, and thank you again. Jesus' warnings are never to be taken lightly, and I am blessed by your reverance to the truth according to His holy word.

Balor, I want to clarify that the statement you quoted me on that I was referring to Talmudists and Zionists. Many Jewish people do not recognize or participate in these practices. Many, like Brother Nathaniel even call them satanic.

I was attempting to make a comparison between the Pharisees of Jesus' time and the Talmudists/Zionists in these days.

Thanks for your words of caution and they are not going unheeded, but please understand I am only demonizing the demons. Zionism has nothing to do with Jesus and His teachings just like the Pharisees consistent disregard for the same. Jesus' warnings against such are strong and dire because they would like nothing better than to take you and me to Hell with them. They are the wicked ones, not merely the unsaved, but the ones who have been judged already.

The Talmud, from your wikipedia reference, shows that Talmudism relies on men and their understanding and interpretations even though we are to understand and accept Jesus as the only true Rabbi (teacher). Why would one prefer the Talmud over Jesus?

Jesus did not, and would not defend evil. He wants us to recognize it when we see it and we can only do this by first knowing Him and His teachings.

Blessing to all my brothers and sisters. We are getting closer to the auspicious celebration of Christmas, so lets get fresh!

" O ye who believe! Be God's helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the disciples: Who are my helpers for God? They said: We are God's helpers. And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the uppermost."
-Quran (61:14)

While you all there are having snow, I can go get a sun bath here in Malaysia. I miss home really :(

Keep the faith,

And I think now, this will give us a clear understanding of the subject matter of under discussion:

" The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Taurat, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of God. And God guideth not wrongdoing folk.
Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of God apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful. But they will never long for it because of all that their own hands have sent before, and God is Aware of evil-doers .
Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do."
-Quran(62:5-8)

This part of Holy Quran draws our attention to something and is the fact that problem of Jews is historical and not just something contemporary.

Keep the faith,
Ali.

If I may shed some light on what I believe Baylor is saying is that you(FF) are mixing the zionists in with talmudists?(whatever that is).

Even the true torah jews against zionism read & follow the talmud's.

The zionists twist the talmud just as they twist the torah? They do not believe in God or that they are divinely inspired writings but they do not hesitate to use it when it benefits them like saying God gave us ethnic jews the holy land when they do not even believe in God but consider themselves God.

Here is a good article from the True Torah Jews that explains it a little bit.

http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/parsha/docs/chanukah2english.pdf

This is from the link above.

This was the era when the Sadducee movement arose. The Sadducees and the Hellenizers were closely related, because
the Sadducees also sought to deny the Oral Law and base their Judaism solely on the Written Torah. To them, the
Torah was a fixed text with no room for questions or discussions. They did not spend time pouring over the Torah and
its interpretation, as the Talmudic sages did; instead, they studied Greek philosophy and culture. Their view of Torah
study was typified by the statement of Elazar ben Poirah, who advised King Yannai to kill all the sages. “What will
become of the Torah?” asked Yannai. Elazar replied, “The Torah is sitting in a corner; whoever wants can study it”
(Kiddushin 66a).

Jesus himself would have been considered a Talmudic Sage.

It is not the Talmud that is evil no more then the bible or the quran is evil when people take the words & twist them to suit their own twisted evil purpose.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

Thomas

Thank you Thomas. What is it called when 3 or more Jews agree on anything? A miracle.

Isn't that what all the major religions do. Those that are in power want to twist the sacred text to fit their own need for power and greed. That is why we as Christians have problems with so many on the far right and their ministers. Jesus message was simple. Keep the ten commandments through loving God and loving your neighbor. Jesus broke from the tradition and established a new knowledge of God without the ritual and following all the codes of the Pharisees and Sadducees. They rejected Jesus and his message. In my humble opinion it was because it took power away from the Priesthood and gave it to the people. God was now accessible to all people without the ritual required under the Jewish code and laws.

Balor,
You have a deep knowledge of the history of the Jewish religion and it does help me understand the tradition and code of the Jewish people but I have to agree with FF. Jesus set the new standard and the ruling members of the priestly class rejected his message. It was a simple message of love and forgiveness. It took power away from the few and gave it to all his people. Those first converts were Jews. The people loved the message and they no longer felt worthless if they could not follow all the outward rules and codes. Jesus came to fulfill the law and set us free from the bondage of sin. Zionist use religion to suit their purpose just as George Bush used religion to further his goals of domination.

Just my humble thoughts on the subject.

This discussion is very interesting because we are having a discussion that the early church had as well. That is, they believed the Beast of Revelation was Rome, AND Jerusalem. Jeruslem is built on seven hills as Rome is, so they identified the Beast, and the Whore who rides it as Imperial Rome and Jerusalem. The city where the two wirnessess of Revelation are killed is Jerusalem because that is where Jesus was slain, ( the two witnesses are the Word made flesh and the Spirit.) Jesus called Jerusalem the city where the prophets were murdered. And on and on.

So, even today many Jewish people are stubborn and openly rebel against God. So do many CHristians. Even today we argue about who the "real Jews" are. Perhaps we are seeing the mystery of iniquity at work.

Oh, the blessings from truth being revealed by His flock are better than any gold and quenches the Spirit like nothing else can.

I completely agree that we are seeing the mystery of iniquity at work, and also that the two witnesses are the Word made flesh and Spirit.

For all that gather here in His name, I thank each and every one of you for the joy you bring.

We can rest assured that there are those who twist the Talmud, just as there are those who do not. The Talmud is where the Seven Noahide Laws come from which make worshipping Jesus a crime punishable by death:

http://www.thewatcherfiles.com/noahide_laws.htm

Thomas, It would appear that most Zionists live by the Talmud, the Law that suits their purposes for domination and could be the basis for a one-world religion in that ~they~ deny Jesus His deity once again.

I do not know it all; I do not mean to sound like I know it all and please forgive me if I do. Is this what you have against me? I am on a quest for truth according to His holy word with no hidden agenda, and nothing else.

The truth has been misconstured for so many it is barely recognizable, but with Jesus ALL things are possible.

In love and peace.

Ali, I am sorry to hear about your homesickness, but when you are here, you are among family.

It is indeed what all major religions do, Sandra, and as usual very beautifully said. Hope you are keeping warm and the snow has stopped. My area is forecasted for more snow today and tomorrow. Wanted to share this corny little saying my children and I memorized from one of their favorite shows, Little Bear, when they were younger:

Whether the weather be cold,
Whether the weather be hot,
We will weather the weather, whether we like it or not.

Ain't that the truth! I always thought of it as a very simplified version of the Serenity Prayer.

Balor, I heard Portland has 20" of snow. Is that accurate?

And with Jesus, ALL things will be revealed.

Love and prayers.

FF what makes you think I have something against you? I posted all the scripture in your defense but wanted to point out that Baylor was only saying that Zionists & Talmudists(I don't believe there is such a thing)are not the same. All jews observe the Talmud as it is the oral law. Some are radical & others are not. Many radical muslims think all people who worship Jesus should be killed many others do not, does that make all muslims evil?
Some jews have no problem with christians believeing Jesus is the messiah while others do, same with muslims while some christians actually killed jews who would not accept Jesus as the messiah during the inquisition, does that make all christians evil?

You have been reading too much propaganda BS that is meant to divide people instead of bringing them together.I believe that is also what Baylor was trying to tell you(with eyes rolling).

faithful forever,

Yeah, we had a lot of snow in Portland. I can't believe they made us come in to work today. My regular bus wasn't running and the next nearest bus is a half mile away down the very steep slopes of Mount Tabor. Getting down this morning was treacherous enough. Coming back up just now carrying a chocolate mousse cake was grueling. If they call us in tomorrow and my regular bus isn't running, then I'm calling in.

Thomas, you're right on. Because of my background, I was exposed to a lot of racist, antisemitic propaganda while growing up. I get real edgy when people talk about the "Jews." Having lived with Jews, I have further observed some of their practises and learned some of what they believe.

I'm not an expert on things Jewish. I know enough that when I hear "Jews," "Zionists," and "conspiracy" in the same breath, then I've entered the b.s. zone.

Not all Jews are Zionists; not all are die-hard followers of Kashrut and keep kosher. The squabbles of the Jews are not my business - it is like an internal family feud.

I have friends who are Palestinian - some Muslim, some Christian. I've met Israelis who would prefer Palestinians for neighbors then their ultra-orthodox brethren.

Given that Jesus broke with traditional "correct" practises, I say that traditional "correct" beliefs are a form of idolotry that must be broken with.

If G-d speaks to you, it may be a private revelation. Who is to say G-d didn't speak to you? Nevertheless it isn't a matter for public consumption.

Now, if G-d tells you to tell the world what G-d said to you, then you're going to need a little more than just your say so to convince people that G-d really spoke to you. I really haven't seen anybody walking on water lately to prove one religion or another is the "true" faith. What if they are all true?

Dear Balor1,

There is only one faith and there is only one religion. And that is exactly the foundation in which our community has basis on. Let me present you this:

" Lo! religion with God (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of God (will find that).
lo! God is swift at reckoning. And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to God and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered? If they surrender,
then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). God is Seer of (His) bondmen."

-Quran (3:19-20)

Dear Thomas and Balor1,

There is always so much information out there and it would be difficult to judge which one is propaganda BS and which one is factual information. In fact the whole idea of this weblog of (End Times Journal) is to dig into this world of information and give some of them a focus, hopefully "to eat the meat and to spit the bones".

Apparently and indeed unfortunately, I believe recently we have trapped in a vapory air of subjectivity. And this definitely is not good. I suggest (to myself first) and the brothers and sisters to keep the faith of the search for the truth and continue to rely on our God, hopefully our prejudgments about historical events, others' ideas and ourselves fade away. Amen.

Keep the faith,
Ali.

Balor, I am glad you overcame the struggle and the elements to keep the chocolate mousse cake in tact - sounds good right about now. It does seem ridiculous sometimes when you are expected to risk life and limb to get to work. Some struggles are worth it, and others are not. Saving the chocolate mousse cake is one that is! You weathered and weather and overcame.

Thomas,

I am glad to hear that it was my over-active imagination in regards to having something against me. My imagination can carry me away occasionally, but it has actually come in more useful than not.

I got the 'eyes rolling' thing the first time with Balor and I am sure I will inspire it again.

Truth is always first ridiculed and if it is truth, it will stand and defend itself and will still be standing even when we choose to throw it out. That is one of the many beautiful things about truth.

The term 'Talmudist' is not as uncommon as you may think. Do a quick search when you get a chance, if that was indeed what you meant by not being sure there was such a thing.

Beautiful Ali, and I hold you and our wonderful little one-faith based community so close in my heart and prayers to always be rightly guided. Thank you for the blessing of the Quran verses and your words of wisdom in how to let the light shine. I am honored to search through the bones with you.

May we please Him in some small with our discussions.

With love and peace to all.
Always, Sue

Well FF there are definatly jews out there that fit your discription & they are zionists, but to say that all jews who read the talmud are these zionist is propaganda because all jews read & observe the talmud. It is not a seperate sect of jews & to say so is propaganda.

It would be like saying that these evangilists who are bent on war are biblical christians & all christians who read the bible are bent on killing all muslims.

In fact there is much propaganda about the quran & those who follow it are hell bent on killing all christians which is not true at all.You can read many websites who proclaim this with all kinds of evidence to support their beliefs because there are some muslims out there that fit the bill & they use them to support their belief that they are all like that. This is what I mean by propaganda.

It is true some muslims hate christians & jews but they are in the minority not the majority.

It is true there are jews who hate christians & muslims but they too are in the minority not the majority.

On the other hand there are many christians who hate muslims & they seem to be in the majority & there are few christians who believe as we do here. Sadley we are in the minority & that is a shame.

From a email I received:
God & the Geese

There was once a man who didn't believe in God, and he didn't hesitate to let others know how he felt about religion and religious holidays. His wife, however, did believe, and she raised their children to also have faith in God and Jesus, despite his disparaging comments.

One snowy eve, his wife was taking their children to service in the farm community in which they lived. They were to talk about Jesus' birth. She asked him to come, but he refused.

"That story is nonsense!" he said. "Why would God lower Himself to come to earth as a man? That's ridiculous!"

So she and the children left, and he stayed home.A while later, the winds grew stronger and the snow turned into a blizzard. As the man looked out the window, all he saw was a blinding snowstorm. He sat down to relax before the fire for the evening.

Suddenly, he heard a loud thump. Something had hit the window. He looked out, but couldn't see more than a few feet. When the snow let up a little, he ventured outside to see what could have been beating on his window. In the field near his house he saw a flock of wild geese. Apparently they had been flying south for the winter when they got caught in the snowstorm and couldn't go on. They were lost and stranded on his farm, with no food or shelter. They just flapped their wings and flew around the field in low circles, blindly and aimlessly. A couple of them had flown into his window, it seemed.

The man felt sorry for the geese and wanted to help them. The barn would be a great place for them to stay, he thought. It was warm and safe;surely they could spend the night and wait out the storm.

He walked over to the barn and opened the doors wide, then watched and waited, hoping they would notice the open barn and go inside.

But the geese just fluttered around aimlessly and didn't seem to notice the barn or realize what it could mean for them. The man tried to get their attention, but that just seemed to scare them, and they moved further away. He went into the house and came with some bread, broke it up, and made a bread crumb trail leading to the barn. They still didn't catch on. Now he was getting frustrated. He got behind them and tried to shoo them toward the barn, but they only got more scared and scattered in every direction except toward the barn. Nothing he did could get them to go into the barn where they would be warm and safe.

"Why don't they follow me?!" he exclaimed. "Can't they see this is the only place where they can survive the storm?"

He thought for a moment and realized that they just wouldn't follow a human. "If only I were a goose, then I could save them," he said out loud.

Then he had an idea. He went into barn, got one of his own geese, and carried it in his arms as he circled around behind the flock of wild geese. He then released it. His goose flew through the flock and straight into the barn -- and one-by-one, the other geese followed it to safety.

He stood silently for a moment as the words he had spoken a few minutes earlier replayed in his mind..."if only I were a goose, then I could save
them!"

He stopped in his tracks and was struck by the thought of what he had said to his wife earlier: "Why would God want to be like us? That's ridiculous!"

Suddenly it all made sense. That is what God had done. We were like the geese--blind, lost, perishing. God had His Son become like us so he could show us the way and save us.

As the winds and blinding snow died down, his soul became quiet and he pondered this wonderful thought. Suddenly he understood why Christ had come. Years of doubt and disbelief vanished with the passing storm.

He fell to his knees in the snow, and prayed his first prayer: "Thank You, God, for coming in human form to get me out of the storm!"

Merry Christmas

An update from Gaza, It is getting worse:

Gaza clash impending, IDF assault on Hamas approved after massive Gaza rocket barrage. Olmert urges Gazans to reject their Hamas rulers.
In interview with Al Arabiya TV, PM says he won't hesitate to use Israel's might to strike Hamas.

It seems both Hamas and IDF prefer to be engaged and who knows this might expand sooner than we expect.

For Iranian president the growing economic frustration and oppressive inhuman situation of Iranians is almost negligible. That is why someone has to tell him to go & read the book of God once again before addressing British people:

" O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? Grievously odious is it in the sight of God that ye say that which ye do not."
-Quran (61:30)

Ahmadinejhad's Christmas message is welcome and we must hold him at his word. The Iranian people must ultimately decide whether he is fit to represent them.

I would like to talk to him about establishing an interfaith center for dialoge and reconciliation among the Abrahamic faiths in Tabriz.

As I was reading Holy Quran I came up with this. It really grabbed my attention. I had mixed feelings when I read it, then I prayed and admired him. It is the bold section:

" God it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof . The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that God is Able to do all things, and that God surroundeth all things in knowledge."
-Quran (65:12)

I echo Balor's statement of of holding Ahmadinejad to his words spoken in his Christmas message. I am so tired of leaders using religion to manipulate the masses and truly want to believe that this message is truth from his heart. Jesus had harsh words for hypocrites who say one thing and do another so let us have hope that his heart is for all people of faith. Thank you for the link. Here is a link on what the news media in this country does to put fear in the hearts of the masses. Not giving all what he said:

Greetings and holy kisses to all my brothers and sisters.

I just watched Ahmadinejad's speech, and he sure sounds like he is talking about feet people. I thought it was beautiful; thanks for posting it, Ali. I read the Britons were up in arms about letting him address the Queen. I liked the part about where Jesus would be standing - with those being oppressed; not with those doing the oppressing.

The US is urging 'calm' in response to a military buildup of Pakistani troops along the India border. Tensions are at a breaking point as Pakistan is not doing anything in regard to the attack in Mumbai and India is running out of patience. Everything is so backwards...shouldn't India be amassing in retaliation instead of it being the other way around?!

Just as Israel is heightening it's threats and rhetoric against Hamas in the Gaza strip and ignoring Egypt's pleas for restraint, it opens the gates to allow humanitarian aid in that had been previously denied entry. It is not a matter of if, but when Israel attacks and they don't even make any bones about calling it an offensive attack and not a defensive attack.

"Christmas" was made an official holiday in Iraq for the first time this year as if this is something to celebrate and justifies the illegal war and occupation...very heavy sigh with eyes rolling!

Pakistan had an earthquake today of 6.4 with deaths so far reported as 164 with 15,000 homeless. Phillipines also had an earthquake of 6.1 but no damage reported.

I heard on INN World Report the other day that the manufacturer of the shoes al-Zeidi was wearing (and then throwing) have received over 100,000 orders for those shoes.

Sandra, thanks for you kind words and I love you my beautiful sister. I hope your snow is gone soon and stays away for all out there who have been hit so hard. The Chicagoland area is being hit hard right now as airports are closing because of slippery runways and dense fog. There is massive evaporation taking place as our temperatures are rising and melting everything at a very fast pace. Too fast to drain and it has no where to go as the ground is still frozen. They are calling for almost 60 degrees tomorrow with about 85% of the State being under a flood watch tomorrow and Sunday.

I have enjoyed my time with family immensely, but have been more torn about the traditions this year than ever before. I found it hard to enjoy when there is so much suffering and injustice in the world and had to struggle not to be too big of a bah humbug to those close to me. Needless to say, I am glad it is over. I give thanks for all my blessings but it is not without guilt for all those who have so much less.

Thanks Sandra for posting that video showing how ~they~ distort, control and manipulate.

Speaking of which, I still am not sure how 'racism' got interjected into a discussion about the similarites of the Pharisees and the Zionists being of the same mold, and making it such pretty much cuts the discussion off at the ankles. (Whole new meaning now for that old saying as well.)

We will weather this weather, of both the physical and the spiritual storm, all by the grace of the One True God whom we love and worship.

In His holy name,
Love and peace to all.

Some seemingly well-documented information about the history of the Pharisees, with two sects interestingly enough being cited:

http://www.centralcal.com/crist2.htm

faithful forever said...

May we be rightly guided in all our discussions, and what I am beginning to see as a revelation possibly.

After a lot of prayer, study and reading, I am starting to believe that the mortal head wound that arises again is that of the (Shammai) Pharisees/Sedducees being revived in the movement of the Zionists. Who have also stolen a name that should belong to His (end time church/feet) people.

The same spirit of those who opposed Jesus and made certain of His death, has always been present in the world even before Jesus was sent to save us, and is being resurrected/brought back to life to wage war with God's (feet) people; the final battle by which we know it as armageddon.

It is of no coincidence that the beliefs of the Shammai/Pharissee are uncannily identical to that of the Zionists from their steadfastness in keeping the Law/Commandments/Sabbath to holding to land promises, to prostelyzing to Judaism, to monotheism; one and the same in many, many ways with both blatantly disregarding the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Those who adhered to these beliefs of the Pharisees and Sedducees (ancient Shammai), would also fit Jesus' description of those who say they are Jews and are not (Synagogue of Satan), for they could not have been Jewish because there were no 'Jews' until the the Twelve Tribes of Israel were established, and most likely the Tribe of Judah, Jacob's fourth son, in the land of Judea.

Looking forward to any insights and comments (without rolling eyes) and may the Lord continue to bless each and every one of us on this remarkable journey.

I love you all.

FF,

Well the movie is the story of this spin doctor who hires a Hollywood producer to invent a war in order to divert attention away from the US presidential sex scandal. One of the things that they invent is a campaign that they call it "good old shoe" in which they want to mobilize the people of America for the invasion of Albania.

In that link you see them sending shoes all over the cities as a reminder of the imprisoned US soldier in Albania.

I think, the director could have placed a white kid in that scene rather he used the African-American one. Notice that Dustin Huffman (one of the show throwers) tells the kid: "History...go and tell you friends" .

The significance of this clip to me is that it shows those iconic moments you see on television of people watch, and they think this tells us the meaning of what is happening in this world, those don't happen by accident my sister.

An Israeli cabinet has approved the call up of thousands of reserve soldiers.

This does not look like it is going to end anytime soon and has the blessing of our outgoing and incoming administration. They blame Hamas for firing rockets into Southern Israel. They justify civilian deaths with glee and the Zionists are rejoicing with Israel. Shameful. Just Shameful. Heartbreaking to watch - those people have no where to go; I cannot fathom their agony. Their hospitals are overwhelmed and already they cannot keep up with the wounded.

Portion of an article and the link below the excerpt:

LETTER TO BARACK OBAMA
Middle East can turn on a new axis
By Kaveh L Afrasiabi

Couple of paragraphs from the article:

Fact is that the state of Israel talks one way and acts another, it pledges commitment to a future Palestinian state and, yet in practice, takes all the steps necessary to preclude its fulfillment, particularly of a "contiguous" Palestinian state, nowadays scene to greater and greater cantonization by relentless, illegal Jewish settlements on Palestinian lands in direct violation of the 1993 Oslo Peace Accord.

History proves that only when pinched with the threat of backlashes in the form of curtailing or freezing of the US's financial and military assistance to Israel, Israeli leaders respond, otherwise they simply ignore any US call to respect the peace accords that it has already signed. Thus, unless you send a strong signal to Israel that times have changed and the US will not tolerate any more infringement on the rights of Palestinian people, I am afraid the Israelis will interpret your silence as a green light to continue with their business as usual, decried by former US president Jimmy Carter as "worse than apartheid".

Read it on this link:

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/JL25Ak02.html

Silence is not always golden. I have not heard anything from Obama on the latest attacks. I was raised to believe if you don't speak up on the issue you agree with the issue. So if anyone has an article showing Obama's stand on the latest attack by Israel could you please post it. I have searched and can not find anything.

You do the same for me Sandra, and just as we need Jesus to get us through this, we also need each other.

Somebody made the comment yesterday in regard to Israel and Palestine that 'they have been fighting over there for centuries and if that is what they want to do, then they can do that.'

As easy as it would be to have this nonchalant attitude, I don't believe God's people can turn away so easily. Nobody will care when they come for us; they will be rejoicing.

Both Bush and Obama are on vacation. I wonder where Cheney is. Things always happen when they are on vacation.

Laura Bush is calling the shoe throwing incident an assault and I would love to hear what she calls what her husband has done. The hypocrisy and the callousness with unrepentence and no accountability is as ugly as ugly can get, and all of it is indeed difficult to witness. I suppose it will be even more so when it is first-hand, but the fact that it is half way around the world does not make it any less painful. The Lord sees all before it happens and He knows all; and we trust Him in all things.

Domestic News agencies in Iran are not reporting this:

" A sudden explosion in a military compound warehouse has reportedly rocked Zarin city in the central Iranian province of Isfahan. Saturday's explosion in the military compound's warehouse caused a blackout in the city and sent the city into a state of panic. "

http://www.presstv.com/detail.aspx?id=79785&sectionid=351020101

The best thing that could have happened for Iran eventually happened: Engaging Israel in War with its neighbors hopefully to divert the attentions of the world from the Iranian issue. I remember once the head of Iranian revolutionary guard said:

"The frontier of our war with Zionism is not here, it is in their border" (But in what price????)

They needed this war to externalize and to outsource the job to some other people instead of engaging directly into it. I see the Iranian side as guilty as everyone else in this mess.

I do not look forward to the death and destruction, yet I am strengthened, edified and comforted by all that I see for He has foretold what to watch for and thus when it happens, it reinforces what we already believe - that ALL His words are true and hope in His promises (His glorious promises; thank you Lord God Almighty) is a great and mighty source for our strength.

We need to keep all in harm's way in our prayers. I heard one father ask what his children did to deserve their death. He lost 5 of his 7 children in the bombing. It is not right that the innocent should have to pay for the elites power grab.

Would love to hear from Youngbrother and Pursing Truth on this whole sordid mess caused by the Zionist. I am very disappointed in the response by Obama that they have been playing over and over again. Because he won't speak on the issue they are playing what he said during the campaign. He said there is only one president at a time but my God innocent people are dying.

At least Dennis Kucinich is speaking out but does anyone hear any others within the Senate speak out against what is going on:

Excerpt from link below:

The point of the Israeli attack, ostensibly, is to break Hamas, the radical Islamic group that was elected to power in 2007. But Hamas has repeatedly proposed long-term truces with Israel and offered to negotiate a permanent truce. During the last cease-fire, established through Egyptian intermediaries in July, Hamas upheld the truce although Israel refused to ease the blockade. It was Israel that, on Nov. 4, initiated an armed attack that violated the truce and killed six Palestinians. It was only then that Hamas resumed firing rockets at Israel.

That was a great story FF thanks for sharing it.
Found that word Talmudists in there again & it would seem that it is real.
From what I can figure out the Talmud is supposed to be an unwritten law or teachings of what things in the Torah mean from rabbis who study the Torah.
Some take the teachings to be literal law which they are not meant for.
You have the Babylonian Talmud & the Palestinion Talmud but you could also say the new testament is the Talmud of Yehshua(or Jesus if you want to call him that)of Nazerath telling us what the meaning of the Torah is.
Jesus said to beware of the leaven(teachings) of the pharisees & scribes & that we are not to be called rabbi & that we have only 1 teacher & that is the Crist.
Jesus was the passover lamb & before passover you have the feast of unleaven bread. You are supposed to clean out from your home all things with leaven in them & have no leaven in your home for the week.
Knowing that leaven means teachings it would seem this whole feast of unleaven bread means to clean out all the teachings of the talmud scholors & follow the teachings of Jesus & I believe this to be true.

Thanks again for the story FF.

Lay down
Lay down
Lay your sweet lovely on the ground
Lay your love on the track
We’re gonna break the monster’s back
Yes we are…
Lay down your treasure
Lay it down now brother
You don’t have time
For a jealous lover

As you enter this life
I pray you depart
With a wrinkled face
And a brand new heart

I don’t know if I can take it
I’m not easy on my knees
Here’s my heart you can break it

I need some release, release, release

We need
Love and peace
Love and peace

Lay down
Lay down your guns
All your daughters of Zion
All your Abraham sons

I don’t know if I can make it
I’m not easy on my knees
Here’s my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release

We need
Love and peace
Love and peace

Baby don’t fight
We can talk this thing through
It’s not a big problem
It’s just me and you
You can call or I’ll phone
The TV is still on
But the sound is turned down
And the troops on the ground
Are about to dig in

And I wonder where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Love and peace

STORY III. The Jewish King, his Vazir (Counselor), and the Christians.

A certain Jewish king used to persecute the Christians,
desiring to exterminate their faith. His Vazir persuaded him
to try a stratagem, namely, to mutilate the Vazir himself, and expel him from his court, with the intent that he might take refuge with the Christians, and stir up mutual dissensions amongst them. The Vazir’s suggestion was adopted. He fled to the Christians, and found no difficulty in persuading them that he had been treated in that barbarous way on account of his attachment to the Christian faith. He soon gained complete influence over them, and was accepted as a saintly martyr and a divine teacher. Only a few discerning men divined his treachery ; the majority were all deluded by him. The Christians were divided into twelve legions, and at the head of each was a captain. To each of these captains the Vazir gave secretly a volume of religious directions, taking care to make
the directions in each volume different from and contradictory to those in the others. One volume enjoined fasting, another charity, another faith, another works, and so on.
Afterwards the Vazir withdrew into a cave, and refused to come out to instruct his disciples, in spite of all their entreaties. Calling the captains to him, he gave secret instructions to each to set himself up as his successor, and to be guided by the instructions in the volume secretly confided to him, and to slay all other claimants of the apostolic office. Having given these directions, he slew himself. In the event each captain set himself up as the Vazir’s successor, and the Christians were split up into many sects at enmity with one another, even as the Vazir had intended. But the malicious scheme did not, altogether succeed, as one faithful band cleaved to the name of “Ahmad,” mentioned in the Gospel, and were thus saved from sharing the ruin of the rest.

From Rumi's The Masnavi, 13th-century Persian

That was a historical evidence my brothers and sisters.

Keep the faith,
Ali.

I copied this from the comment section from Les' site, and it pretty much sums up what I have been trying to say for the most part:

The folks running Israel today are part of the anti-christ because the "holy" book they follow, the Talmud (which says Christ is boiling in hell for eternity in his own excrement), is anti-christ. Talmud is from the Mishna, oral traditions and commentary from the Pharisees which had Him crucified. Goyim and Christians especially are considered animals...the Palestinians have a direct line to the original Jesus apostles and were mostly the original Christians most of whom later forcibly became Muslim. It is the Christian tradition and communities that the Zionist Talmud believers are trying to wipe out, and the West Bank is next. yes, we need to pray for ALL the Palestinians, not just the Christians.

Have you all heard that Cynthia McKinney was on a boat carrying aid to Palestine and was rammed by Israel in international waters?

Beautiful pictures Ali. Looking at the pictures gives you a sense of peace so missing in the world today. The story also had so much truth in it on how people are divided and set against each other.

Thomas,
Following the teachings of Jesus is what the world needs today. If we followed those teachings there would be no conflict but the teachings have been rejected by so many. Leaders give lip service to Jesus but will not follow his teachings. I find it puzzling that most Christians worship Jesus but do the opposite of what he taught. It is giving lip service to the name of Jesus but their works are far from what he taught. Hypocrites. I love the red letters in the bible and his wisdom is for all time.

NathanDave,
Love is what we need in this world but instead we have greed and power struggle. Thank you for the link. Yes we do need to be in prayer for all caught in this conflict.

FF,
I did see that piece on calling up of the military if there is unrest due to the economy. Why would they want to do that when during the Great Depression they did not do that. It is all so strange. That last excerpt you just put up is very disturbing. I did not know that it said that about our Lord. That is just evil to say "Christ is boiling in hell for eternity in his own excrement" Could you find out the exact verse and text in the Talmud. I am in shock that it would say that.

Love to all

Sandra,

I know ~they~ hate Him as much as they did when He was on earth and it has not changed.

I most likely cannot verify the statement, as the Talmud is kept very secret. As we have been learning, there appear to be two Talmuds, with the Babylonian Talmud being the more evil version in what I can ascertain.

I love all of you so much.

I am a bit pressed for time right now, but I just cannot stay away, but I wanted to explain an abruptness that might be perceived.

Sandra, we were posting at the same time. It is shocking if it is indeed true. We do know that the same spirit that attacked Him is going to be the same spirit that attacks us; the Lord tells us so.

The Lord tells us there is nothing new under the Sun, and surely this is what He is talking about; they vehemently hated Him and it is and will be no different for us.

I pray that the Lord continues to open all our eyes and hearts in this very perilous time.

The Palestinians are virtually defenseless - drones and staellites track their every move even if they do have weapons. Someone is going to have to step in and 'save the day' or escalte it beyond Gaza's border. Either way, it could be the beginning of what we have been being prepared for.

Some are starting to mention 'war crimes' but there is only One who can exact infinite justice. I believe that is the only justice that will stop them now. I could be mistaken as I have been so many times before, but this is dividing the whole world into two groups - those who support "Israel" and those who do not.

This article from that Christian Right/Zionist site shows how they twist our Lord's words to suit their own purposes for justification of blood being shed (in His name no less); how they turn something so simple and beautiful into something twisted and grotesque. Some who hold to this belief do so with such passion and righteousness that they would not shed a tear over our deaths for our opposing view. I say this because I know how bad they hated me when I posted scripture to support my beliefs; I had death threats directed at me. The regulars ganged up against me every time they seen my name, much less what I posted. They usually prefered to attack the messenger rather than the message. But of course it was more difficult for them to attack the message because they don't have a rock to stand on, so they take the easy way and condemn the messenger. Nothing new under the Sun, nothing at all:

" According to earlier reports, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said that Russian-Ukrainian talks on planned natural gas exports from Russia to Ukraine in 2009 "ended fruitlessly" on Wednesday, and Gazprom is halting all its gas exports to Ukraine at 10 a.m. (0700 GMT) on January 1. Arrears for gas supplied this year have never been paid, Miller told reporters. Gazprom has never seen on its accounts the money Ukraine owes it despite oral statements by Ukrainian officials that the debt had been paid. The Ukrainian side rejected Russia's proposal to ship gas to Ukraine at $250 per 1,000 cubic meters. "We have an impression that there are political forces in Urkaine that are very much interested in having a gas conflict between our countries," Miller said, assuring that Gazprom will continue delivering gas to European consumers in full."

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Whatever truce to be implemented or rejected, outside of Christ, there is no hope for this world. The Gaza issue is just the warm up. There is a lot of surprises in store this month. Sad as it may seem though, the human suffering will go on and soon the war will spread beyond Gaza. To think otherwise and hope "the peace makers" will achieve peace, seems to me a joke. I don't know what to say, but all I know is that God is upto something and I believe that He will bring His judgement one way or another. Iran and its ally Hizbuallah are readying themselves and many expect a surprise attack against Israel. The gathering of all these warships in the gulf of Eden to "protect" cargo ships from Somali pirates seems to me a bit funny. Am not sure if such massive power is really necessary to stop a bunch of goat herder boys from being a threat using home-made boats. Its just bizzare.
As more bizzare things are expected to happen, please keep encouraging each other and stick around.
Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Annon, greetings and holy kisses. You must be as sleepless as me. But what a great way to start the new year...I've missed you.

Your link leaves me sickened and heart broken. I don't believe it will stop either. Times Square had national guards patroling as they were expecting a "Mumbai" style attack. It seems as 'it' could happen any day now at any time. And still I do not fear. I hate watching the death and war and destruction, yet at the same time it is prophecy being fulfilled and how can we not desire the refining of the fire to purify our longing souls for Jesus and His will to be done on earth, for if satan knows his time is short, then how can we not rejoice. It is so confounding and perplexing sometimes as it is all so much to take in and yet still try to carry on as 'normal' when things are anything but. The Lord is faithful and strong, and as nathandave said, our faith and our prayers are our weapons...mighty weapons.

Indeed, stay blessed and keep looking up. For surely redemption draweth near. Come Lord Jesus.

I am so, so very thankful for this fellowship and being on this journey with the amazing saints who gather here in His name.

Love and His peace to all.

Anon, I have come to the conclusion that Iran and the West will not go to war, otherwise it would have happened by now. Also, the West needs Iran to help stabilize Iraq. What we see now is an elaborate chess game, and the end result is the establishment of the NWO and each country is jockeying for position in the new imperial structure.

The Palestinians have to be pacified, because Israel is going to play a huge role in the spiritual deception of the NWO. Also, remember that the power brokers want the world pissed off at the 3 major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, And Islam. In this way, they can discredit them and pave the way for the reestablishment of their worship of Lucifer. And, Lucifer can have revenge against the religions that have destroyed his heavenly power, and that will ultimately destroy his temporal power as well.

NathanDave,
The paragraph below caught my attention on your link and I so agree with it. I never got into 401 ( k )s because there was just something about them that did not feel right. At the time I think I thought it was just that I did not like all the talk on all the money that could be made and I was not into making a lot of money. Now I am glad I never got involved in it and saved the old fashion way. I have never been one that liked the mentality of the stock market. Below is the paragraph:

"What progressives need to focus on is that all of these private retirement accounts, IRAs, Roth IRAs and 401(k)s have one homogenous denominator: they are primarily invested in stocks and bonds of multinational companies that we in the progressive community frequently oppose on issues ranging from labor, environment or human rights degradation. Our own money is being deployed in opposition to our goals. We’re financing our own demise"

Also my husband was employed with the air pollution agency and he saw it change from an advocate for the environment to being in bed with industries. He was so frustrated by it and spoke up in staff meetings on the whole issue but times had changed and he was considered not going with the new way of working with industries. He has passed on but I think he would be very frustrated today at how the Bush administration has loosen restrictions on the environment.

FF,
I am glad you have opened my eyes on what it states in the Talmud but I have to admit it has caused me such sadness. I get tears in my eyes whenever I think of what is written in their book. I never in a million years thought that they felt like that about our Lord or his followers. Why does the religious right want to protect and support the Zionist if they believe that? It just puzzles me.

Annon,
The link you gave on the children who have been killed is just heartbreaking. When will mankind realize the destruction their hate is causing all the innocent children in the world.

I spent the New Year quietly at home. I have never celebrated the New Year coming in but watched the ball go down in New York with sadness. There is so much destruction and death in the world because of hate and seeing all those people laughing and celebrating just made me cry. This country needs to wake up to what we are doing in the world and how we have supplied all the arms for Israel to do their destruction. One website did a poll and over 75% of those polled agreed with Israel.

With love and peace to all who gather here.

faithful forever said...

Wow, 75% support Israel...and then pressure and threaten the rest to bow down and we will very far out numbered. But mighty so never fear...the Lord is near. It would be interesting to see how many Israelis support the aggression.

Greeting all you people of the feet. You knock my socks off! You are certainly on the march and soon we may be running to bring glory to our glorious Savior. Rejoice and be glad. I witness God at work in all of you by the blessings of love and truth (priceless) that you all bring. It is rising up as the chaos rises. This is our God; there will be many blessings poured out amongst His wrath. All hope is in the Lord Himself and He is faithful to those who are faithful to Him.

Sandra my dear sister, this is for you; the Lord knows ALL you are going through for He has been there, and may this comfort you:

"For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief."
-Ecclesiastes 1:18

Growing is painful but so,so worth it. I spent the new year with the same thoughts as you; the celebrations seemed like a masquerade of total denial. But we know that the world will carry on as the world does; drinking, marrying and making merry, until the Lord's perfect timing comes for a major shaking. There is going to be a tremendous shock value involved for those who have been and are too busy to take heed of His word.

I find the Zionists perplexing as well, but they are of their father the devil, so it is only fitting that we do not understand their ways or the complete depth of the hatred, but we do need to know that it goes very, very deep. I have read that the extreme Talmudists believe that non-believers (goy or goyim) do not have souls and our deaths (sacrifice) bring glory to their god (satan). How people can support the twisted beliefs of zionism is God has blinded them according to their heart's desires. They don't desire Him as much as they desire the safety and comfort of the numbers, and the approving judgment of men rather than God. So God sends them a veil of delusion. It seems that as more truth is being revealed to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see, a stronger delusion is being sent to those in denial. Anybody else been noticing this?

Ali, that Bolton is so creepy and you can imagine him slobbering at the mere thought of more death and destruction in the waking. Positively shameful and disgusting. And now, we too have been briefed as the demons can barely contain themselves. But soon they will be well contained and constrained forever and ever.

I give thanks for being able to call on His mighty name and know that He is there for us, as well as right here with us and among us; we are fully covered in His armor, inside and out. How amazing is our God, the mightiest protector, our Mighty Fortress. Amen Annon.

nathandave,

Your wisdom of the spiritual understanding of this war being the basis for the physical manifestations on the earth are a blessing to behold. You cannot make sense of this battle without first looking to the spiritual battle that is being waged. Keep up the good fight my brother.

Nasrallah confirms what you and Ali were discussing about world leaders and thought you both might find it interesting; an excerpt then the article:

It is not true that there is Arab silence. We see help extended to Israel, I do not mean all Arabs or all Arab regimes; only those which have signed so-called peace treaties with Israel. Today they are helping Zionists politically, psychologically, socially, culturally and media-wise, through security and the military, on preparing the circumstances for the surrender of the resistors against the American-Zionist project in the Palestine issue.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=79953&sectionid=3510302

Is there any significance (more than likely there is) to this being a 'Gregorian' calendar year as Nasrallah states?

Thomas, I was blessed by the testimony in your last post and I apologize for being so long in telling you so. It was beautiful and I hope and pray for you to share more of your insights. Blessings to you my brother in Christ with love.

Love and peace to all the amazing people of the feet everywhere in this weary ol' world; change is indeed coming. Of this we know for sure.

An email from Cynthia McKinney that Les Visible received:

January 1, 2009 -- Message from Lebanon from Cynthia McKinney

WMR has just received the following dispatch from former U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney in Lebanon:

January 1, 2009 - We Lived to Tell the Story: Lebanon Rescued Us
Yesterday, we met with the President of Lebanon, the Chief of the Military, and the Interior Minister who all thanked us for responding and risking our lives on a mission of mercy; we profusely thanked them for rescuing us.

What would we have done, stranded out at sea, prohibited from reaching our destination, low on fuel, with a badly damaged boat if Lebanon had not accepted us? Lebanon sent their ships to find us. Lebanon rescued us. Lebanon welcomed us. And we are truly thankful.

It's official now. We've been told that the sturdy, wood construction of our boat, Dignity, is the reason we are still alive. Fiberglass would probably not have withstood the impact of the Israeli attack and under different circumstances, we might not be here to tell the story. Even at that, the report that came to us yesterday after the Captain and First Mate went back to Sour (Tyre) to inspect the boat was that it was sinking, the damage is extensive, and the boat will take, in their estimation, at least one month to repair. Tomorrow, we will bring the Dignity from Sour to Beirut. And now, we must decide what to do and from where we will do it and how we are to get back to wherever that might be.

My personal, and I know the group's, thanks must go to Al Jazeera, that allowed three of their reporters to be onboard with us on our voyage. As a result, Al Jazeera carried the story of the Dignity live, from castoff in Cyprus when our spirits were high, right up through the manacing maneuvers of the huge, super fast Israeli ships before they rammed us, the Israeli calls on the ship phone after the ramming calling us terrorists and subversives and telling us to return to Cyprus (even though the Israelis later claimed that they didn't know who we were, they knew enough about us to tell us where we had come from), and the fact that we didn't have enough fuel to follow their instructions, right up to their threat to fire at us if we didn't turn around, ending with our beaten-up boat limping into Sour harbor in Lebanon. Al Jazeera carried our story as "breaking news" and performed a real service to its audience and to us. Al Jazeera called the Israelis to inquire about the incident right as it was happening and I am sure the Israelis were prepared to leave none to tell the story. Al Jazeera told the story and documented it as it was happening.

One of those Al Jazeera reporters with us was Sami El-Haj, who was detained in Guantanamo by the United States for six incredibly long years. What an honor to even exchange glances with such a humble man who had endured so much pain at the hands of the U.S. government. I apologized to him that my tax dollars were being used in such a despicable way. And Sami's crime according to the U.S.? Born in Sudan, and reporting for Al Jazeera in Afghanistan, Sami was the wrong color, the wrong nationality, the wrong religion, reporting for the wrong news outfit, telling us the truth about a wrong war. And for that he survived incarceration for six long years. Sami El-Haj, Guantanamo prisoner number 345.

Another incredibly committed journalist who was with us was CNN's Karl Penhaul. Karl reported the truth even when his own station was repeating Israeli disinformation. The fact that we were traveling with these alert journalists added to the flat-footedness and obvious crudeness of the Israeli response. Sadly, Israel has changed its story too many times to count, and that's because they are not telling the truth.

We lived to tell the story. Karl's incredible reporting, just a portion of our story, can be seen on CNN at:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/30/gaza.aid.boat/index.html

where there's also video and a photo of our damaged boat. A little more of the story and film of the extensive damage can be seen at:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/30/gaza.aid.boat/index.html#cnnSTCVideo

This video and the photos of Karl's report is particularly interesting given that Israel claims that our boat was only scratched and that, in actuality, our captain, while trying to outmaneuver them, damaged their warship.

I'm told that CNN only played my full statement once--and that's the time that it aired live. Of course, they cut the reference to the U.S.S. Liberty. What are they afraid of?

Last night I was on PressTV.com, along with others who were on the Dignity, and we debated a representative from WINEP, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. I reminded the audience that the Palestinians don't have nuclear weapons, depleted uranium munitions, white phosphorous, or F-16s, but the Israelis do. The facts, however, tend to get garbled after being processed by the "Grand Wurlitzer" organ of state-sponsored disinformation utilizing the world's press.

With the truth clearly on our side, Israel has been reduced to releasing the ridiculous bombast below, given to me by a reporter who came to our hotel in Beirut for a visit. With their multiple, conflicting stories, it is clear that the Israelis did not expect us to live to tell the truth.

On the drive from Sour through Saida to Beirut, we were welcomed like heroes because our ordeal had been seen by everyone on Al Jazeera. The mayor of Sour came to welcome us. The mayor of Saida insisted that we stop there, on our way to Beirut, for a special ceremony. But there was something else that was visible along our drive, and that is the devastation that Lebanon, itself, has received as a result of the Israeli war machine. The scars of the war are still evident everywhere. I will write more on that tomorrow.

And one final note, President-elect Obama roared like a mighty lion onto the political scene, but now he is as silent as a lamb in the face of the death and destruction that is happening in Gaza. As we approach the birthday celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. let us remember what Dr. King said:

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

And after five days of aerial bombardment by Israel, the carnage in Gaza continues.

Here is the palaver that the Israelis put out for public consumption. It is pitiful that a powerful and mighty country like Israel would be reduced to publishing something so petty and weak as the following press release dated December 30, 2008:

Press Release

ISRAEL'S RESPONSE:

Office of Media Affairs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
12.30.2008

Israel continues to take its humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza seriously. Border crossings into Gaza remain open, and every effort is being made to deliver aid to the Palestinian people. Nearly 100 trucks carrying relief supplies entered Gaza on the 28th & 29th of December and additional shipments are arriving. Israel is working closely with UNSCO, UNRWA, the Red Cross, and WHO to ensure the entry of the required aid, especially food and medical equipment.

Unfortunately, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has taken it upon herself to commit an act of provocation, leading a small boat of supposed assistants into the conflict zone. She endangered herself, her assistants, and the vessel's crew. The Israeli navy hailed Ms. McKinney but the former Congresswoman failed to respond, thereby leading to the incident. We regret that during this time of crisis, while Israel is battling with the terrorist organization of Hamas and defending its citizens, that we are forced to deal with Ms. McKinney's irresponsible behavior.

Editor's note: Israel's perfidy knows no bounds. It is not in keeping with the Law of the Sea to hail a passenger aboard a vessel. Hails are to the ship's captain, and in his absence, the second ranking member of the crew and so forth. Of course, that is international law of the sea and so far, Israel has never been inclined to follow international law. Like the Third Reich before it, Israel has no time for international conventions or proper behavior among nation states.

It shoud be noted that the Israeli Consulate General in Atlanta is a major Mossad station,a fact that has earned it FBI surveillance. On September 8, 2006, WMR reported the following regarding the consulate general and possible Mossad penetration of the Atlanta FBI field office:

FBI surveillance of the Israeli Consulate-General in Atlanta resulted in the recent arrest by Columbus, Georgia police and FBI and Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents of Yosef Sagir Ofri, a diplomat assigned to the consulate-general on charges that he committed "illegal acts relating to sodomy, aggravated sodomy, child molestation and aggravated child molestation, utilizing verbal descriptions, narrative accounts and photographic depictions" through his use of the Internet and e-mail to make contact with minors. Ofri served as the security officer at the Israeli diplomatic post, a diplomatic portfolio that often disguises Mossad operatives. Sagir was indicted by a Columbia County grand jury before authorities moved in to make the arrest outside his home in DeKalb County. The FBI and other U.S. intelligence surveillance of Israeli targets had increased to "surge" levels in the weeks prior to the fifth anniversary of the 911 attacks.

In Sagiv's bail hearing, Superior Court Judge Duncan Wheale expressed surprise that prosecutors were merely asking for $25,000 bail and said that he would have granted a $75,000 bond. Wheale granted a $50,000 bail. Sagiv's defense attorney presented a letter of support for Sagiv from a local FBI agent who said he vouched for Sagiv because of his teaching anti-terrorism classes in the Atlanta area. Present at Sagiv's bail hearing were senior members of the Israeli Consulate General and one Israeli government official who flew from Tel Aviv to Atlanta. Part of Sagiv's bail agreement prohibits him from obtaining another passport without the prior knowledge of the U.S. government and the Columbia County District Attorney's office.

Masters of deception, they are.

Please keep Cynthia McKinney in our prayers.

Phrases like 'the first stage of bombing' and 'international peacekeeping force' send chills down my back:

Just notice how Barak (Israeli minister) is smiling behind Obama.

I guess I have come across a good website.

Ali, I have been reading that some believe Hamas to be funded and supported by Mossad. I was wondering if you had any insight or knowledge about it. I think anything is possible.

Interesting clip about Obama and people starting to get disillusioned with his campaign promises. I heard on DemocracyNow! a few weeks ago that people are mobilizing/organizing an angry front if Obama does not bring positive change such as ending the wars. Just a few short weeks until the grand staging of the inauguration.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Obama is very silent on the issue:

FF,

It might be as you said, I have no idea about these proxies because sometimes they receive supports from both sides.

Now they are talking about "a decisive ground assault on Hamas", and the word decisive is a spin for 'a brutal invasion'.

Keep the faith,
Ali,

Washington source report that in a telephone conversation with prime minister Ehud Olmert, US president George W. Bush okayed Israeli air, sea and ground operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. He promised the US would veto a resolution condemning Israel at the UN Security Council meeting next Monday. Early Saturday morning, Jan. 3, Day 8 of Israel's Gaza operation, US and British media described the Israeli invasion as hours away.

No comment at all.

Keep the faith,
Ali,

Pray that Israel does not invade. If they do, it is only a matter of time before the world gathers for decision time. Literally, the Valley of Meggiddo.

I have a strong and interesting piece of historical evidence that proves Ahmadinejhad wasn't the only one who called for destruction of Israel: The FATAH constitution (1964) even long before Islamic Republic of Iran already had read it as the following:

“Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the Palestinian Arab People’s armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence , and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.”54

So don't get spun by the media.

And also sharing this with you:

President Wilson was the first American president to support modern Zionism and Britain’s efforts for the creation of a National Home for Jews in Palestine
(the text of the Balfour Declaration had been submitted to President Wilson and had been approved by him before its publication). President Wilson expressed his deep belief in the eventuality of the creation of a
Jewish State:

“I am persuaded ,” said President Wilson on March 3rd, 1919, “that the Allied nations, with the fullest concurrence of our own Government and people, are agreed that in Palestine shall be laid the foundation of a Jewish commonwealth.” 31

Wasn't he the one who also was persuaded to enter the WWI?

Keep the faith,
Ali.
