WHY LOVE IS THE GREATEST GIFT

We are not just supposed to love God, rather we are commanded to love God. He even goes on to tell us how to love and honor Him by not placing any other gods before Him or making graven images of Him to worship. We love God because He first loved us and He gave us His only begotten Son because He so loved the world. Jesus' message has a lot to do with this thing called love. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, we were given the Holy Spirit out of His undying love, devotion and affection to know and believe that we are never alone.

Love is the very reason you and I were created; for us to love Him and for Him to love us. His love for us is beautifully and majestically manifested in our Lord and Savior Jesus.

The Bible verses about love are vast and far too numerous to list, but some of the better known ones are:
1 John 4:8-21:

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1 Cor 13:13
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

What is charity if not Jesus for what He has done for us. Love is the greatest gift because love is Jesus, Jesus is love and it is Jesus that is our greatest gift. His love will endure for eternity.

FF,
What a wonderful post and love is what is needed in this world. When we Love God first we will extend that out into the world. Not a selfish love but a love that puts God first and than your fellow man. To sacrifice for another is the greatest gift of love and Jesus did that for all of us.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 10

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I was just talking about love the other day with one of my friends. We were talking about religion, and she asked me what I believed, because she wasn't sure what she believed. I told her that I am a Christian, but the main doctrine I try to follow is love. Out of all the religions I believe love is the strongest similarity they all share. We love God and love our neighbor, and with this attitude the world is a better place.

Which brings me to my favorite bible verse-

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Israel has denied UN rights into the W.Bank and Gaza. They have also closed the gate for Gaza again, and there's the number 11 again:

The news reported this morning that Texas has lost as much corn, if not more, than Iowa because of the drought.

While the road ahead is somewhat uncertain as to all we will witness and go through, I am still comforted and excited. Fully energized and powered by Jesus and I am finding that people are a whole lot more open to our message.

More bad storms forecast for the Midwest this afternoon. I also heard on the news that parts of Louisiana has 12 feet of standing water.

Love and prayers for all. Hang in there; our redemption draweth nearer and nearer.

Has anyone had a chance to look at the video? This man's testimony is so uplifting and I hope it strengthens you the way it did me.

YB, how do you blow it up like that? Thanks for the assistance.

Lovin' you all in His precious holy name, our wonderful Counselor and Comforter.

FF,
I watched most of it but it was long so I cheated and skipped to the end which was very uplifting. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just skip all the events and get right to the glory that is waiting for all his obedient servants. Jesus did not skip the hard road so neither will we but prayer and love will get us through the hard times.

I notice more and more people are saying that we are in the last days and it is an opporunity to witness in love and kindness about a brighter day coming.

You keep bringing your message of love and faith. It is uplifting.

Sandra,

You are such a blessing and I have come to rely on you already as I was missing you this morning when you hadn't posted yet.

It is a kind of long video and I so well know your point of being able to skip over certain parts and arrive at our destination, but the journey will make the destination that much sweeter. We really don't want to miss a thing.

Your faith and love do the same for me, Sandra.

Jude 1:20-25 (King James Version)

20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

I am blessed knowing that you are there, Sandra.

FF,
I feel just the same way. You bless me with your strong faith and it is wonderful to see someone so dedicated to the Lord and warning of the upcoming trials.

I feel blessed with all the people on here and the other site who have contributed to the understanding of the "End Times".

YB,
I am so thankful you started this site. It is a extension to the other site by Stephen and we all have grown with the insight from all the regulars.

Sandra,

Very revealing article. I don't know if I can find it now, but there was an article from a Holland newspaper that was written last weekend that stated they are expecting the total and complete meltdown of the US economy within days or weeks at the most.

Everything is coming together all at once, is it not? We could wake up tomorrow with our money being worth nothing and unable to buy, trade or sell; our money worthless, but we will still be rich because of Him. We could wake up tomorrow and Israel/US have attacked Iran and people will be hopeless and scared, but we will be strong because of Him. We could wake up tomorrow to another natural disaster and have our home wiped out this time, but our shelter and refuge are in Him.

Trust Him and praise Him and He will guide us. This I know.

Sandra, The Lord is lifting you up and it is a blessing watching you shine.

with love in Jesus' precious holy name and may His face continue to shine on those who are seeking Him according to His holy word, and not man's.

Everything is being revealed; uncovered and exposed. What an exciting time to be alive. Remember His promises...how amazing is our God.

FF,

Yes the events seem to be coming together. Today was very strange. We had programing on T.V. interrupted for an EMERGENCY BROADCAST. It was on a severe thounderstorm with hail. It hit South of where I live but the weatherman's voice had a real concern tone. He told everyone to stay indoors. What I think they were afraid of was a tornado and we live in Washington State. That would have been unusual but we are starting to see different weather patterns.

I trust the Lord and believe his every word in the Bible. What a wonderful message he had for his people. I just hope I am found worthy.

Luke 9:23 -9:27
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."

I have come to realize in the last couple of days how blessed those of us who see the truth of these days are because it seems either it has been revealed to you or it has not with no middle ground. Either you see it or you do not.

I had a conversation with a woman who is very much against Bush and an activist against torture. She has always been very outspoken about her views and one day I felt comfortable discussing the possibility of 911 being an inside job and that there was a lot of information out there if she wanted to better inform herself. I passed on some movies (thank you Peter) and thought she seen the truth. At a later date I mentioned to her that I believe Bush is the Son of Perdition. She listened, but I could tell she did not believe it and the conversation ended with requesting that she just not take my word for it, but to pray about it.

Today we had another chance to talk and she not only doesn't believe that Bush is the antichrist because she says that leaves too much room for copping out, and if 911 was really an inside job, how can all the people that it would have taken to pull the job off keep that big of a secret under wraps.

She really just does not see it.

She maintained that if Bush was the antichrist, then there is nothing for us to do about it and absolves us from any responsibility because nothing can be done to change it. I told her nothing could be further from the truth. It is ever more important to further the Kingdom of God in whatever way we can in fighting this evil.

I asked her if she thought that the murder of JFK was an inside job and immediately she said yes. I asked her how she thought that they had been able to keep this big secret quiet for all these years and it is of no surprise to me the power of the Synagogue of Satan; just because it has been kept secret does not mean that it was not an inside job just as the JFK conspiracy. Why did they seal those files? Why did Kennedy's brain go missing? They have to destroy the evidence just as they did with the steel from the trade centers.

Either you see it or you do not. I have come to be extra thankful lately for God opening our eyes and revealing this truth.

May we use it to further His Kingdom each and everyday in any way possible that we can because it is a gift. Of this, I am certain.

Love and many blessings.

The bigger the lie, the more it will be believed.

Exactly, Josh. What do they not get about this. Have we learned nothing from history if not from the Bible. I don't know if people are scared and they like the comfort of the masses in their disbelief or they simply cannot see and face the truth. I thought I had been through this stage of it all and lately I seem to be revisiting it. Why do people not want to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Maybe it is God preparing us to shout from the rooftops. As youngbrother once put it 'chomping at the bit.'

Love ya Josh.

I run into that also. People really don't want to believe nor do they want Jesus back when it comes down to it. They prefer to go about their existence in an illusion and don't want to be woke up. I believe that is why all these disasters are happening. To get people out of their safety zone and material possessions to realize they really do need God.

Evil will do anything to stay hidden. They do not like the light where their evil deeds will be exposed. Most news networks consider those that hold the view that 9/11 was an inside job are seen as conspiracy nuts. That feeds the masses just fine and they can go about their daily lives with blind folders on.

Love you guys..

Sandra

The Asian market as well is melting down. It is interesting to read live from the chart how the figures rapidly changing to the worst.

What would have been our hope without our Lord Jesus Christ in this troubled times when everything seems hopless and helpless?

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Ps. forgot to sign my name on the previous post.

Amen, Annon. We would have no hope. I mentioned the gathering hurricane Bertha to someone in passing today and she said, 'oh yes, we have so much to look forward to.' And I was thinking while I was walking away, indeed we do for those who are putting their hope in the right place that is. Keep shining.

Watching the Body of Christ work together is such a moving experience and this foretaste of the feast to come suffices and sustains me in renewed ways every passing day.

I echo Sandra's words of 'love you guys..'

Indeed, Sandra, the darkness hates the light and will hide like the ugly beast it is and how wonderful is our God that we do not have to fear it for we know that He who lives in us is far, far greater than he who is in the world.

Thanks for the articles again Annon - going to check them out right now. I am starting to believe that one day we will wake up and not be able to buy, sell or trade - just like that. Satan knows his time is short and His flock finds comfort in this.

It is my prayer for His grace to continue to strengthen those who gather here in His precious holy name...all my brothers and sisters who are so near and dear in my heart and how can we not desire more of this. I feel like I virtually live in two worlds - the physical world and the spiritual world when I get to come here among His people, and I know which one I much prefer. I could already leave the other one behind with never so much as even a thought of glancing back.

Rejoice and give thanks for our redemption is drawing nearer.

Annon,

Boy, you sure are right about that visual. Nothing like that graph to put it into proper perspective. I hope everyone gets a chance to check it out.

~They~ can take away everything we own, but they can never take what we need most in this dry and weary world. The One who comforts us and counsels us and He will never abandon us.

Thanks again Annon, with love.
