THE GOOD SHEPHERD

1 Corinthians 1:10

King James Version (KJV)
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  Amen.

I read a lot on the internet, and especially enjoy reading the comments. Every once in a while, and more frequently lately, I come across a comment that resonates with my spirit as I could be saying or writing the comment exactly as it stands.  I love the edification of another one of God's people being so joined with my heart and mind, and brings a joy that is hard to describe, but they always make me rejoice.  Interestingly enough, the comments have one thing in common.  They all mention Jesus' Second Coming drawing near.  They praise His name and their words glorify Him, as I hope and pray mine do.

The world is in a state of transition. And confusion.  But, His people are not walking in this darkness.  We know the changes that are happening are for the fulfillment of prophecy.   We know that as the darkness grows, so will the light of the Lord. He is the good shepherd who cares very deeply for His little flock and He knows each and every one.

Do not let your heart be troubled by all that we see going on, rather give thanks to the Mighty Redeemer for drawing closer to redeeming His people.  We are covered in His precious blood which He willingly shed for us and the promise of dwelling on this earth with Him is worth the wait.  Patiently and longingly we wait because we know He is coming.  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord and sing Him praises all the day long.

1 Peter 1:7-9

King James Version (KJV)
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.  Amen.

Praise to our Father for not making us one of those who will be scurrying under rocks to escape His wrath.

Indeed, we all have a choice to make. Choose wisely. Choose the one and only true God, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

Stay blessed.

Hi FF,

I just wanted to add to the video you posted with movies that have recently come out about God.

These movies are God's not Dead, Heaven is for Real, Son of God, Noah, and there is one other that I can't recall.

i think they are releasing these movies because they know the end is near, and they want to trick people into believing God comes first, when in reality the antichrist comes first. Just a subtle brainwashing tactic if you ask me.

Hi Matt_333, how nice to have you pop in again! I agree there's a lot of subtle brainwashing tactics going on.

I also think it has worked like a charm and there are a lot of people who are deceived about a lot of things. It is all certainly a pretty sad state of affairs. Hollywood sure adds to the confusion and deception. Sometimes though, if you watch carefully you can hear some cold hard truth about our world. I cannot recall the name of the movie, but there was a discussion about us poor working stiffs (slaves), and Gene Hackman says something to the effect of 'that guy just wants to go home after a long day of work and let the television screen wash over him and make him forget his miserable existence.' A lot of truth there for most people and it is all by design. We were made for so much more, but have been steered down the wrong path for so long, we don't know where (or who) we are. But we serve a might God and He says it is the meek who inherit the earth and we will be revived and redeemed.

These are tricky times and we need to hold fast to His word or risk being tossed to and fro, and thus being further led astray.

I am watching the events in the middle east and the Ukraine as I am sure most people are, and I am amazed at how many people around me believe Russia took out flight MH17 and just as many support Israel with undying and unquestionable love while never stopping to realize that no matter what - when God says something, He means it. He has commanded His people to love our neighbor(s) as well as our enemy. No matter if they spout a million times a day that Israel has a right to defend itself, God has said turn the other cheek and never to repay evil for evil. Only love can conquer.

Thanks for hanging around here with me, Matt_333 and letting me rant a little.

May God richly bless you with the truth according to His word to keep your feet firmly planted on the Rock.

With love from me to you in His name, Sue
