PALM SUNDAY: Hosanna to the King of Kings

Palm Sunday begins the holiest week of the year for Christians, and the Passover Feast for the Jewish people. Our Lord and Savior Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on this day for the Jewish feast of Passover. In biblical times the donkey was a symbol of peace and it was understood that those who rode them were of peaceful intentions, and the palms were symbols of martyrdom or victory over death. Many people believed.

46But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. 47Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. 48If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. (John 11:46-48 KJV)

And from then on they plotted to kill Him. Jesus is just as much of a threat to their 'place and nation' today as He was then. Even more so because this time He is coming with vengeance in the final battle that ends satan’s reign on this earth and begins the glorious reign of Jesus. Hosanna to the King of Kings who is coming to reign.

5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
(1 Timothy 2:5-6 KJV)

He is the way, the truth and the life. Praise His holy name and give thanks for all He has done, and is doing and all that is to come.

“I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME.” — Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

The current controversy over building in east Jerusalem is more than likely the pretense of building the third temple which will start a religious war. Interesting article:

I'll say it's been a while Annon. I've missed you as well and what a most pleasant surprise it was to see a comment and then when it was you, it was even better. Like an oasis in the desert.

The KING, the One and only, the only one who can wage war with the beast, the Savior of the world is indeed coming. The birthing pains are closer and closer all the time. Good things come to those who wait has taken on a whole new perspective. I read the other day that for those who remain watchful and don't let their lamps run dry, He will remove us from the hour of trial. Wish I could find it quick or remember where it was, but right now I can't. Life has been a little more demanding lately it seems as it does for many people. I don't know about anywhere else, but people are tense enough around this area to cut the tension with a knife. Lots of pressure for lots of folks who are just starting to rub their eyes.

Now we have passed the time of our Lord's persecution and death. When I think about the spirit behind His persecution and death, the same spirit that is still in the world today, makes His vengence so easily acceptable.

When He returns, we will be like the calves of the stalls leaping for joy at our release, our redemption. So many good things coming, and imagine, if we only could, the feast of the wedding celebration when the bridegroom unites with His bride. May we both be found worthy in some small way to be seated at His table, and if the Lord deems it so, I will know my brother Annon. I know I will know my brother Annon. Our God is so good.

So much for the peace talks:

He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. How very true. He has done so much for us and always keeps His promises.

On this beautiful Easter weekend, I wanted to wish you all peace and joy.

The story of the Pharisees always keeps life in perspective, because before they hated you, they hated Him. And he still loved them.

Happy Easter, love,
Kelly

Another blessing...Kelly! Peace and joy to you on this
Resurrection weekend and how nice to hear from you.

The Lord and Savior is so amazing in so many ways as you have pointed out and one of the many ways He amazes me is that even while He was dying, He asked for forgiveness for those who persecuted and killed Him and He saved the thief that day while barely able to talk. The love that poured out of Him on that day so long ago is just the same today and I cannot find words enough to praise Him. Yet most of the world still rejects Him. But soon, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord of all. All glory, thanks and praise to God for loving us while we are still yet sinners. How anyone can willfully reject that is beyond my comprehension but I know it is the way of the world just as it always has been. Like He says, 'there is nothing new under the Sun.'

Israel is planning the demolition of 88 homes in E.Jerusalem for their settlement expansion and a Palestinian who was interviewed said that he can see no way of that happening (just the demolition, never mind the construction) without a third infitada happening.

We can rest assured that there is an appointed time and a purpose for everything we are seeing take place, and the Lord will not delay His return. Alleluia. Our God is faithful.

Love and prayers always.

This is the verse that blessed me the other day that I was referring to:

Revelation 3:10 (KJV)

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

And Revelation 3:3 about staying watchful:

3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

I imagine there will be quite a few people unaware and surprised when the Lord returns.

Thought I would share Biblegateway's verse of the day:

Hebrews 12:2 (King James Version)

2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Amen.

Two mexican drug cartels are fighting over turf into Texas and they are certainly a dangerous, ruthless sort of people. One of our wonderful politicians recently said that Americans are mistaken about not being affected by the drug war in Mexica. Guess he was right:

Galatians 5:5 (KJV)

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Amen. The Lord has many good things in store for us. I rejoice and praise Him and all His ways.

Prayers for all who are affected by the latest earthquake in Baja California, Mexico and southern California.

Yellowstone has had a few quakes in the last few days as well.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Not knowing the tsunami warning had been lifted for the Indonesian quake, I asked someone if they had heard if a tsunami had taken place, and their reply was, 'I have better and far more important things to do than sit around and watch television and concern myself with things I have no control over.' Then continued that the tv is only turned on to get the local weather about what is going to be affecting them.

I am not surprised. Not in the least, but it saddened me just the same. Is the the typical American? I hope not. The last time that area was hit with a quake of that magnitude, a tsunami wiped out hundreds of thousands of people. I do not know how can another human not care about that.

I am glad to hear the tsunami warning has been lifted. What will it take to make people pay attention to more than what only affects them personally. God knows and it is in His hands.

I enjoyed this clip and hope someone else may as well:

Sorry about the typos; really have to be better about proofreading. Hope the meaning was clear in spite of my errors.

The Lord's words just came to me regarding my conversation:

Luke 12:56 (King James Version)

56Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

How great is our God. He knows everything.

Record rains in Brazil causing massive mudslides. The rains are now subsiding, but the misery surely has not. New York broke heat records today with 92 degrees. I heard the other day that the world raised $10 billion dollars for Haiti relief yet many are starving.

Karzai is speaking some truth about fixed elections and threatening to join the Taliban, so Washington accuses him of mental illness and drug abuse. There's a message in there for us all...speak truth in any way shape or form, and persecution will come.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Love and prayers.

From April 7-11th Gazans are rallying for international intervention to stop the oppression. This is a link if anyone is interested, but you have to scroll down to the 8th block titled 'Gazans decry emergency on World Health Day.'

The rhetoric is escalating between Israel and Iran with increasing tension that involves many nations. The bombings of late are bigger with larger death tolls. In more than one place I have read that Israel will attack Iran by November. That's a big door of opportunity as that could be any time between now and then. This is the reality of our world right now. It's not looking too good for that elusive thing called peace. The Iran Embassy in Baghdad was bombed. We are seeing 'wikileaks' of shameful, disgusting, acts of pure evil that defy all 'rules of engagement' and how can anyone be proud to be an american anymore or maybe even of the human species being for that matter. We are so lost; so far removed from Him, but I believe soon the Lord is going to tip this world upside down.

Things are happening quickly and there truly may not be much time left for our world as we know it. Change is coming; the real change we can believe in. Whether we believe it or not, or we are ready or not, it will come for it is written. The Lord is readying His soldiers for battle as well. He has prepared them and heavily equipped with the armor of God. We can pray to be delivered from the hour of trial because our God is just that amazingly good and merciful to those who worship Him. The victory belongs to us because of Him and all glory to the only one who is worthy, the Lion and the Lamb, Jesus Christ the Son of God who has paid the price for each and every person who chooses to follow Him. Onward Christian soldiers.

Come Lord Jesus and Your will be done on earth with all the glory to Him and Him alone.
