What it takes to be a Disciple.

In Luke 14:26-27, Jesus, who taught of love for one another, said this;
"Anyone who comes to me must hate his father and mother. He must hate his wife and children. He must hate his brothers and sisters. And he must hate even his own life. Unless he does, he can't be my disciple. Anyone who doesn't carry his cross and follow me can't be my disciple."
Sandra brought this verse up recently. She asked how it can be reconciled with the command to love. Are we being sent into two different directions by Christ? Is this a message for all who hope to be saved? What's going on here? To find an answer, first we should try to figure out what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

As far as I can tell, being a disciple means to be in the type of relationship with Jesus where he is the master, and we are his apprentices, learning the skills of his own trade, and preparing to follow in his footsteps. That was the role of the twelve named disciples in Jesus' day, and of all 72 disciples that he sent out to preach the gospel in pairs (Luke 10:1-9). That can be the role of any of us, so long as we are up to the challenge.

Immediately following the "hate" passage of Luke 14:26-27, Jesus explains the level of commitment that it takes to be his disciple. He removes all of the sugar coating, perhaps because many people in the crowd that was following him around fancied themselves to be his disciples, simply because they were there. Jesus was a very perceptive son of God. He wanted them to make no mistake about what it took to be his disciple. There was and still is no such thing as a half-hearted commitment. Luke 14:28-35

"Suppose someone wants to build a tower. Won't he sit down first and figure out how much it will cost? Then he will see whether he has enough money to finish it.

Suppose he starts building and is not able to finish. Then everyone who sees what he has done will laugh at him. They will say, 'This fellow started to build. But he wasn't able to finish.'

"Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. And suppose he has 10,000 men, while the other has 20,000 coming against him. Won't he first sit down and think about whether he can win?

"And suppose he decides he can't win. Then he will send some men to ask how peace can be made. He will do this while the other king is still far away.

"In the same way, you must give up everything you have. If you don't, you can't be my disciple...

"Those who have ears should listen."

I have felt for a long time that Jesus knew, before he was crucified, exactly what would happen in the future, in his name, through the church. He saw with great clarity into his future. However, he went to the cross anyway because he was commanded to, and because he saw what is still ahead of us, the great Feast of the Kingdom of God.

There are plenty of halfhearted Christians out there, and there have been plenty throughout history. They believe there is no distinction between any John-Doe born-again Believer and the Apostle Paul, in the eyes of the Lord (because God doesn't show favoritism). However, what is missed by that simplified perception of grace is the principal that you get out of anything just as much as you are willing to put into it. Their religion is a spice that is added to their lives, not a whole new life.

What separates disciples (spiritual adults) from the millions of believers (spiritual babes) is a sense of determination and commitment to the ultimate goal of seeing this Kingdom become manifest in the earth, obeying and serving God for that purpose. Those that don't actively live with this priority may survive the refiners fire with their souls in tact, but they will certainly not have any heavenly rewards. In the process of making Christianity more palatable for the masses, the evangelical version of Christianity dismisses the fact that we are not our own but were bought with a price, and that we have each been given work to do, as servants of Christ...neglecting that work means forfeiting our heavenly treasure (1 Cor 3:10-15)

Jesus drew a line in the sand with his words in Luke 14. On the left were those who enjoyed their lives on this earth yet also enjoyed the teachings of Jesus. Those who followed him on foot only a few dozen miles away from their own village, before they turned back around and went home. These sort of people are like a field of wheat waiting to be harvested, or sheep in need of a shepherd.

On his right side were actual disciples. They were completely dedicated to Jesus. They gave up their lives, their jobs, their families to wander around from town to town with him. They chose homelessness so that they could hang on to every word Jesus said about his Father's Kingdom, they were taught by him to preach about it too, to perform miracles as he did. Theirs was a higher calling; to assist him in his purpose, and find their own new purpose through him. These are the laborers Jesus meant when he said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few". And these are the people that Jesus referred to when he said, "Much will be required of those that are given much".

The disciples of Jesus come to see the world from his point of view as they grow in the spirit. The vision of God's fair and wonderful kingdom grows stronger in their minds as they meditate on it, and the inferiority of this current system becomes more and more obvious, until it becomes almost intolerable.

Many, many people are so charmed and/or tangled in this world system that they simply cannot imagine anything else. They are content in their stations in life, not looking to rock the boat, just trying to take care of their own needs and their families. They will actively resist radical change to the status quo while they are in this state. These people are the wives, husbands, children, parents, aunts, and uncles of the disciples of Christ. What Christ has given to us is a gospel of a completely different world order. There is always a choice given to the called when they try to respond to God, and only disciples would choose God over family, and they would do it without much of a second thought, because disciples are given eyes to see the ugliness of this current world system compared to the glory of the coming Kingdom of God. They recognize it's poisonous nature. They know that unless God is obeyed by those he calls, the world will continue down it's path to destruction.

Christ clearly said over and over again that we must leave everything to follow him. He also said that through him was life, and that he had the ability to cause springs of living water to flow through us. Therefore we must offer up what limited life we have without him (when we are called), in order to claim the eternal life that comes from him. In Christ we are no longer living for ourselves, or our families, but for Christ. Once we have access to the eternal life he gives us, we can return to our families and share it with them by our demonstration of Christ's love.

Whatever "hate" disciples have for their families is not lasting, but is an emotional part of the first step into new life. Our responsibility is to be true to our spiritual father first and foremost. Everything else will follow suit as long as we are faithful with that responsibility.

I believe that Jesus was very uncomfortable in the world, he constantly went to the mountains, or other secluded spots by himself to "get away from it all" and pray. He had a discontentment in his spirit that was given to him by God. He also wasn't very nice to his own mother and brothers when they came to visit him on one occassion, choosing to continue addressing the crowd, rather than step aside quietly for a little family time. He said, "Those that do the will of my Father are my mother and brothers" (Mark 3:31-35). Jesus seemed to be interested in destroying the family ties we have in our minds, and in our lives; in order that we might love all equally. Ironically, he seemed determined to take the Focus OFF of the Family, saying instead that family ties are more lasting on a spiritual level. Some famlies are spiritual, and do serve and follow Christ before the potential disciple is called. These families offer encouragement, support, and the example that we need to see how real this faith is.

The real issue is whether we will be willing to give up everything we have in this world for the sake of responding to God's invitation. The test before us is to keep God as God of our lives, and not as a separate, distant ruler figure (that might be ignored). Nothing and no one should ever come between us and God.

Luke 14: 16-24

"A certain man was preparing a big dinner. He invited many guests. Then the day of the dinner arrived. He sent his servant to those who had been invited. The servant told them, 'Come. Everything is ready now.'

"But they all had the same idea. They began to make excuses. The first one said, 'I have just bought a field. I have to go and see it. Please excuse me.'

"Another said, 'I have just bought five pairs of oxen. I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.'

"Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'

"The servant came back and reported this to his master.

"Then the owner of the house became angry. He ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the town. Bring in those who are poor. Also bring those who can't walk, the blind and the disabled.'

" 'Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done. But there is still room.'

"Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads. Go out to the country lanes. Make the people come in. I want my house to be full. I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my dinner.' "

Greetings Annon and everyone,

The Lord tells us there will be signs in the heavens and I believe these new clouds could be a sign. Anything is possible at this point, and I mean anything. Great link, Annon my amazing brother. I think I have actually seen these new clouds one time here in the Midwest last year. A friend told me she thought the Lord was coming back in those clouds that day. It's very interesting that they usually don't produce storms as they are certainly 'stormy' and very powerful looking in their appearance. Interesting times indeed. We are going to see many things we can hardly imagine.

Our world, our crazy world grows crazier by the day and the birthing pains are closer and closer. There are riots in Iran over the election for which Ahmadinejad claims a sweeping victory amongst claims of vote rigging, and the US is the monitor of the irregularities - no kidding. Go figure. Israel is of course voicing new concerns over the unrest and the 'choice' to keep the ruling party in power, and the Summer of Rage beings to rage. N.Korea is threatening 'weaponizing' plutonium and I am not sure what that means exactly, but don't want to either. Our Lord is in control and this is more than sufficient for me. Fear Him but do not be afraid.

We know we are in for a rough ride and it could be sooner than later. This article discusses a national drill here in the good ol' US of A held July 27-31 involving foreign troops and fema camps. Just when you think it can't get any stranger...it does. The WHO reports that they will have a vaccine for the swine flu as early as...next month.

I do not if it is related, but ever since yesterday with the digital switch taking place, my computer is sooo slow and I was wondering if anyone with satellite internet is experiencing the same. Who knows if it's true - certainly not me, but I read somewhere recently that media blackouts are more likely with digital than with analog. Anyway, here's the link:

Trust in the Lord our God.

Love and peace to all who gather here; seen and unseen.

After praying, I have come to a peace with the strong language in the verse from Luke and wanted to share it. I believe that it is meant to show us the utter importance of completely loving our God above all others; that there is absolutely no relationship that is more important than the one we have with Him.

His love and peace and strength will abound in all His people around the whole world and it is going to be more than amazing. Keep looking up.

Greetings all

So much is happening and the world is in turmoil (atleast for those who feel it). And just wondering what will the next scenario would look like.

The Israeli Prime Minister announces he'll accept a Palestinian State (strings attached) prompting the Egyptian president to publicly reject Israel as a Jewish State;
Pakistan orders its army to directly target Taliban leader;
North Korea threatens nuclear war and prepares missile; Japan imposes its own sanctions on DPRK and bans all trade; riots in Iran with many opposition supporters being shot dead while Ahmadinajad received warm welcome in Russia; the largest ever Israeli war-drill completed; India suddenly pulls its troops out of Kashmir.
Swine flu is spreading with a diminishing coverage by the media.....and on and on and on.

...and sadly the children are subjected to grow with hatred and violence.

Hate and violence equals more hatred and more violence. As much as I would so love to see the Palestinians free, it will not happen by fighting just as Isreal cannot make peace with violence. I have heard it said that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter, and while there is truth to this, it takes two to fight and two wrongs do not make a right. Violence and hatred are our enemies; the extreme opposite of what we are to strive to be like. War is the way of the world, not our God. Vengence is His and deservedly so. He is what all the fighting is about; this is a holy war even while there is no such thing since Jesus' torturous death.

Everything is twisted and nobody can really tell exactly what is going on, if there is something going on while we carry on with our lives like there is nothing going on. But those who have eyes to see and ears to hear know full well what is going on even if most in the world are not given eyes to see nor ears to hear doesn't mean it is not really, truly happening right now in real time, in this very day. The written words of our glorious Lord and Savior being fulfilled.

The enemy is being revealed for who and what it is and how pervasive it is in this current system of things. Wherever there is hatred, that is where our enemy is found. Jesus is our example for is in all ways because He is the light of the world (otherwise we are in darkness), and He not only did not fight with His persecutors, He did not hate them; He forgave them. I believe God hates evil, but He is God and He is the only one to know a man's heart and the only one who is worthy of righteous vengence; who can wage battle with the beast.

Matthew 10:26
Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
(NKJV)

Amen.

Rejoice and be of good courage.

Yes, rejoice and be of good courage for our God is with us. For all my brothers and sisters in Christ:

2 Corinthians 4:7-11 (KJV)

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

For all those who did not know the question I asked YB here it is: I asked this on his new blog site.

YB,
I have a question for you. In Luke 14:25 - 14:27 how do we reconcile this verse with Love:

"Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."

I know we are to love Jesus more than our own family and than that extends out to others but the word hate is used here. In my bible there is a footnote saying this is a hyperbole statement which means: A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect; an extravagant statement.

Here is my interrupation that I responded with:

My belief is that so many people have hangups with their parents and siblings. Jealously, and rivary that linger into adulthood. We carry that baggage with us into other relationships. When we come to Jesus he exposes those feelings and than we can work pass them to get to a deeper love of our parents and siblings. We come to him as sinners who have sinned in thought and deed towards others both knowingly and unknowingly. He accepts us and than we work pass our hangups and can accept others more freely without trying to change them. To be an example of the true path of our Lord and as such we represent him on earth through following him and his teachings. We no longer hold grudges against others for the hurt they may have caused us because in the end we know that we have hurt others and why see the speck in our brothers eye and not the log in our own.

Of course this is just my humble opinion and I don't know all the answers but the Lord will guide.

I think we can see the rivary within families and how it manifest out to the larger society. Jesus of course knew this. (first sibling rivary was Abel and Cain).

The following verses goes further on what is required to be a disciple:

Matthew 10:34 - 39
34"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
" 'a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law -
36a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'[a]
37"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Loving God first and than treating others as we would like to be treated including our families.

Blessings to all

I got this in the email from an elderly minister who is retired and thought I would share. It is long so I have to do it in two parts:

THE QUESTION that CHANGED MY LIFE
-by David Ryser.

A number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching at a school
of ministry. My students were hungry for God, and I was constantly
searching for ways to challenge them to fall more in love with
Jesus and to become voices for revival in the Church. I came across
a quote attributed most often to Rev. Sam Pascoe. It is a short
version of the history of Christianity, and it goes like this:

Christianity started in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it came to America and became an enterprise. Some of the students were only 18 or 19 years old--barely out of diapers--and I wanted them to understand and appreciate the import of the last line, so I clarified it by adding, "An enterprise. That's a business." After a few moments Martha, the youngest student in the class, raised her hand. I could not
imagine what her question might be. I thought the little vignette was self-explanatory, and that I had performed it brilliantly. Nevertheless, I acknowledged Martha's raised hand, "Yes, Martha." She asked such a simple question, "A business? But isn't it supposed to be a body?" I could not envision where this line of questioning was going, and the only response I could think of was, "Yes." She continued,
"But when a body becomes a business, isn't that a prostitute?"

The room went dead silent. For several seconds no one moved or
spoke. We were stunned, afraid to make a sound because the presence of God had flooded into the room, and we knew we were on holy ground. All I could think in those sacred moments was, "Wow, I wish I'd thought of that." I didn't dare express that thought
aloud. God had taken over the class.

Martha's question changed my life. For six months, I thought about
her question at least once every day. "When a body becomes a
business, isn't that a prostitute?" There is only one answer to her question. The answer is "Yes." The American Church , tragically, is heavily populated by people who do not love God. How can we love Him? We don't even know Him; and I mean really know Him.

Sandra said...

continued:

I stand by my statement that most American Christians do not
know God--much less love Him. The root of this condition originates
in how we came to God. Most of us came to Him because of what
we were told He would do for us.We were promised that He would
bless us in life and take us to heaven after death. We married Him
for His money, and we don't care if He lives or dies as long as we
can get His stuff. We have made the Kingdom of God into a business,
merchandising His anointing. This should not be. We are commanded
to love God, and are called to be the Bride of Christ--that's pretty
intimate stuff. We are supposed to be His lovers. How can we love
someone we don't even know? And even if we do know someone, is that a guarantee that we truly love them? Are we lovers or
prostitutes?

I was pondering Martha's question again one day, and considered
the question, "What's the difference between a lover and a prostitute?" I realized that both do many of the same things, but a lover does what she does because she loves. A prostitute pretends to love, but only as long as you pay. Then I asked the question, "What would happen if God stopped paying me?"

For the next several months, I allowed God to search me to uncover my motives for loving and serving Him. Was I really a true lover of God? What would happen if He stopped blessing me? What if He
never did another thing for me? Would I still love Him? Please
understand, I believe in the promises and blessings of God. The
issue here is not whether God blesses His children; the issue is
the condition of my heart. Why do I serve Him? Are His blessings
in my life the gifts of a loving Father, or are they a wage that I have earned or a bribe/payment to love Him? Do I love God without any conditions? It took several months to work through these questions. Even now I wonder if my desire to love God is always matched by my attitude and behavior. I still catch myself being disappointed with God and angry that He has not met some perceived need in my life. I suspect this is something which is never fully resolved, but I want more than anything else to be a true lover of God.

So what is it going to be? Which are we, lover or prostitute?
There are no prostitutes in heaven, or in the Kingdom of God for that matter, but there are plenty of former prostitutes in both places. Take it from a recovering prostitute when I say there is no substitute or unconditional, intimate relationship with God. And I
mean there is no palatable substitute available to us (take another look at Matthew 7:21-23 sometime). We must choose.

-Dr. David Ryser.

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

***
Sandra, thank you so much for sharing that...I am still enjoying it and being blessed by it in many ways. The truth is always, always such a joy to behold and there is a whole lot of truth in what Dr. Ryser has experienced/written. I found it particulary interesting that he notes Christianity as starting in Palestine.

And the enterprise continues on in America. There are many lost sheep in our churches who don't know they are lost, and they really do perform a lot of many wonderful works in His name, but start speaking about things that don't tickle the ears like being accountable for having, or not having, a personal relationship with Him or discussing the Lord's return, and soon the conversation is over, and on to talking about the weather or what the next mission trip is going to be. And they are comfortable in their lukewarmness because many others around them accept it as well.

May we never be contented with lukewarmness, but set on fire with passion for the only One for which indeed there is no palatable substitute for there is no other like Him.

Love in His name to all.

The propogated mess in Iran is painful to watch and my heart goes out to N and Ali. All creation continues to groan with the quickening of this world passing. Storms projected from the Plains to the Atlantic into the weekend and only time will tell what they will bring. Tornadoes in Nebraska and Minnesota, grapefruit-size hail in Oklahoma, people literally shoveling hail in New Jersey and the weather patterns no longer have a pattern. Twenty-three tornadoes across the Plains and Midwest last night with a total of seventy since Sunday, and N. Dakota is flooding again. It is an incredible time to be alive and witness the whole wide world groan in unison and knowing that there is an even greater shaking coming on the near horizon.

Bush crawled out of the woodwork again and was in Erie, PA for a speaking engagement and I can't help but chuckle at what an appropriately-named place for him to visit. He is dropping hints that this adm. is making america less safe for the next up and coming false flag event that Cheney is salavating over.

There are reports of a million people being out in the streets in Iran and with that many people, anything can happen. The US is 'watching' a N.Korean ship which means it is probably preparing to engage it as N.Korea threatens to launch a missile on Hawaii at the beginning of July.

Interesting times, but not so much for those of little faith. Keep shining all you who are of God and know that He will not abandon us. This we can know for certain in a most uncertain world.

Rejoice and be of good courage. Our God is coming to reign over this world.

Greetings,

Boy, somebody must be pushing the 'fast forward' button. Events seem to be spinning as fast as 'they' spin their lies.

Iranians are being strongly cautioned not to take to the streets in a massive rally planned for Saturday by the Ayatollah Khamenei. Some talking heads are expecting and anticipating another Tieneman Square incident. While Obama makes merry at the RICA dinner with jokes about Gitmo detainees and General Motors. Like a deja vu moment when Bush was making jokes about weapons of mass destruction.

Obama will soon outspend the Reagan administration in military spending while today it is reported that there are now 1 billion hungry people in the world.

The US is making plans to intercept a N.Korean ship as soon as it leaves the coast off of China because of the missile threat to Hawaii.

Stay watchful, but never fear, for the Lord is drawing near. An amazing time that is going to get even more amazing.

Prayers for all the hungry people in the world, and for all who are suffering. The Lord hears our cries.

If the reporting is accurate that we see on MSM regarding Iran, Iranians defied the warning and have taken to the streets. Khamenei has warned about 'chaos' and you have to admire their courage. The people are chanting 'death to the dictator' and 'death to the dictatorship.' A suicide bomb has exploded and they say police are now clashing with the people. Is the whole thing propagated or genuine? Either way, I don't think it is going to end well. All the world is their stage and Obama has said, 'the whole world is watching' what Iran does to deal with this. It is a no-win situation.

Greetings.

Today is the Summer Solstice and an important day for the worshippers of satan. I felt compelled to do a little research and wanted to share a little of what I learned. It is celebrated in many ways, from eating certain foods, with herbs and oils, bonfires of course, chants and dancing, and seems innocent enough but with all deception, and truth as well for that matter, there are many layers and depths. It is also known as the Feast of Lucifer Rising and the 'grand climax' whatever that is, comes in 5 weeks and 1 day after the celebration.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_britain_stonehenge

Pray for the hedge of protection from all levels of deception no matter how small. Love and prayers.

Things are being spinned at an alarming rate. If I didn't know better I would think they may very well have themselves confused at this point, but everything is very calculated and very planned out. Isn't it wonderful to not be a part of it.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Indeed, God is in control even though things are happening in a way the world seems to be caught up in confusion.

We read that Natanyahu is going to build the temple, and in other News, the Ark of the covenant is "ripe" to be revealed to public in June 26. Add to that we have the turmoil in Iran that is being prophetically associated by some with the coming of the Mahadi. I also read somewhere that NASA is planning to bomb the moon to find water or whatever their purpose may be....

Its just getting interesting.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

Annon,

Really great to hear from you and great links. Boy, the things you don't hear on television, and wouldn't read about if it wasn't for the blessing of your sharing these most revealing articles that you have such a knack for finding. It's great...really great and thank you my brother. I've missed you.

I copied this from your link regarding Netanyahu rebuilding the third temple:

'Jewish religion commands the Jews to rebuild the Temple as part of a Divine plan for the salvation of the Jewish people and the entire world...'

Jesus very plainly and clearly tells us that His Kingdom is not of this world, and yet 'they' would have us to believe there is only a physical manifestation of that Kingdom through a rebuilt temple. They are so deceived and when they claim to be instruments, it is true enough, but instruments of the one and only true God they are not, but of their father satan.

These days require discernment that only comes from God. I give thanks for all He has done and all that is to come.

I couldn't agree more, my brother, things are just getting interesting and the best is yet to come. They are so defeated and soon they will know it. All the world will know it.

Love, prayers and blessings.

And watching the truth be revealed, whether the world wants to see it or not, is exciting and soon there may be no denying because everything is going to be revealed.

Great article Sandra. I have missed you desperately as well.

Alarm bells are ringing in so many places in the world, but until people's lives are interrupted, they will continue on with their blinders in place. Like continuing on with our everyday life is a meter for the condition of the whole world. No wonder sudden destruction comes to Mystery Babylon. Maybe it is because people don't see it coming at all because they don't want to see it coming so they ignore the purple eleplant sitting on their lap, but the awakening will still come regardless of how long they can stay asleep for now.

Watching the chaos in Iran is painful beyond words. There is a day of mourning for tomorrow, and if I am not mistaken, mourning is a sacred practice in their culture. My heart goes out to all who are suffering.

Rejoice in this time of revelation for it is a time like none other and we get to witness it.

The Lord God is our shepherd and we are His flock. We know His voice and the truth indeed sets us free.

Thanks again for the link, Sandra. You are always a blessing and I thank Him for bringing you here. Love and prayers to you always, and that's for forever and ever my sister.

His peace and comfort to all.

So much to say and so little time. That is probably by design as well...

This crazy world is quickly getting crazier. If satan isn't loosed now, I don't want to know what it would be like when he is.

News of a 'banker holiday' is starting to circulate and nothing much would surprise me. I read that the closings are allegedly being referred to as 'holy days.' Propoganda or not, time will tell. As it will with everything. August/September of this year is what they are suggesting and with Obama giving new sweeping power to the Fed...anything goes.

It seems the death of Michael Jackson doesn't rate much as news around here...

()

faithful forever said...

The airways seem to be ambushed in a way by his death, and inquiring minds beg to know why. Usually when this happens, and everything that is happening I believe, even the deaths of these two icons, is for a reason. When you belong to satan, he is who calls the shots and when. I don't know about Fawcett, but Jackson with his perversions was a tool of the devil in my opinion with no doubt. So what are 'they' distracting us from - which is working like a charm for most people. It has most certainly taken the spotlight off of the chaos and turmoil in Iran even though the opposition stated yesterday that he will not back down like they are trying to 'force' him to do, and Ahmadinejad has told the whole world the CIA is responsible for the horrifying sniper death of a woman named Neda. Israel is amassing troops and equipment along the Lebanese border and surely more war is on the horizon.

I would like to mention an unusual coincidence, that really may be just a coincidence, but I find it a little interesting that the beginning of the NLE09 is planned for July 27-31st, and that is the same date as the 'grand climax' of the summer solstice. The 27th is 5 weeks and one day after June 21st. Had to mention it for whatever it is worth even if nothing.

The Lord our God is in control and they are already defeated. I rejoice and give thanks.

Love and peace to all.

The rhetoric is taken to a new level by a threat from Ahmadinejad to Obama (all carefully scripted, mind you, but we all know what they say about payback:

http://news.aol.com/article/iranian-president-challenges-obama/543215

Allegedly Mr. Mousavi is rejecting a partial recount and demanding a new election...anything to try to keep the fire stoking. Their theatrics are ever more apparent for those who have eyes to see. All thanks and praise for the Lord God Almighty.

The 'coalition' in Iraq is abandoning posts and retreating to bases so Iraqi security can take over. I heard it reported that for the first time since the invasion, Iraq is selling its oil contracts to foreign bidders. The voilence has worsened again. It must seem like a thousand years to the Iraqi people that this useless bloodshed has been taking place. Somalia is worsening by the day it sounds like as well. Prayers for all who are suffering everywhere around the entire planet. Many different kinds of suffering everywhere. The weather continues to wreak havoc; Nebraska has record amounts of cattle dying due to the intense unrelenting heat. One man said he had never seen anything like it. He is 76 and has raised cattle all his life.

On a more personal level, I want to share an experience and would love to hear anyone's thoughts on the issue. I was the only one in a room and upon entering, a person said, 'oh, I see it's just you and me and daddy, laddy and the spook.' I had to have him repeat it three times and still could not get what was being said. He explained that it is of course, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The person who said this is a pastor of a mainstream religion.

Like I said, would love to hear any thoughts as always. The silence in here is growing louder.

Love and prayers. Stay blessed and keep looking up. The wait has a purpose as well. Trust the Lord. It is going to be amazing.

And when you least expect it, a cease fire in the Qaza strip? The Israeli Defense Minister is making a trip to the US tomorrow and Egypt is involved in making 'peace' in Israel. Hmmm. Sudden peace sounds like it might mean sudden destruction. Is this timing odd to anyone else but me?

My dear beloved brother Annon whose fellowship is a gift from God and a blessing that I give thanks for many times over, you rock. Indeed the world honors its own. Thanks for the links and your steadfastness. I too believe the chokehold will soon be broken.

I see ()'s meaning. He (or she) is responding to what the 'pastor' said to me with his remark of 'it's just you, me, the daddy, laddy and the spook.' Thank you for responding and I am glad you are here. Have you ever heard that saying before? I had not, obviously and I wish I never would have. The disrespect bordered blasphemy in my eyes and left me feeling his denial of their existence, just as you said. It does not surprise me in the least that a mainstream pastor is apostate, but his boldness did. I believe it is understood between us now who we each belong to. He has no qualms of letting me know just as I have no qualms of letting him know whom I follow. He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world and I have no fear. I know the strength of our Lord and when my voice trembles, He will form the words of my voice. How great is our God. His people, amazing...and I cannot wait for the land with no more strangers in it.

Wherever there are two or more of us gathered in His name, He is there with us. May He be pleased in some small way with our discussion and continue to bless us for we are nothing without Him, but with Him we can, and will, do anything.

Thank you for the love and the joy of harmony. Priceless.

Greetings,

Anyone ever notice how everything comes right back to 911 and questioning it (like the Holocaust), will now earn you the status of a low level terrorist. It is all so twisted just like those that perpetrate the lies:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuASoVK8f9c

Speaking of more twists, the world is allegedly calling out for the return of the newly ousted leftist Honduras leader and the new guy vows war over it. Imagine that.

Tomorrow is the day our troops retreat out of Iraq while still in Iraq. Our 'ally' Pakistan is begging and demanding that the drone strikes cease and with friends like that..well, you know. The littlest of the Evil Axis, N.Korea is threatening to wipe us out and they would have us believe that the 4th might be just the day for such an event.

The Lord tells us about a time when Jerusalem will need to run for the hills, and certainly that time would fell like such a time as this.

The summer of rage is raging, and yet I have no fear, but I hear many people using the word 'scary' when world events are discussed and there is a lot of work to be done. More ears are going to open and more eyes are going to start to see and what an exciting time it will be to further His kingdom.

Keep marching all you feet people and shining those lights that have been so carefully kindled by our loving Savior.

Annon, the encouragement and fellowship that you bless me with, I treasure more than gold, so I know what you mean and how you feel because I feel the exact same way. A foretaste of the feast to come and life more abundant through Christ. I am so amazed by the connections with His people (although I shouldn't be, really), and I often wonder if this is the 'milk and honey' the Lord speaks of. I surely get fed from it and it is oh so sweet.

Come Lord Jesus and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I give thanks and praise for all He does even while I am a sinner.

Be of good courage for the Lord is our strength and refuge.

Hi everyone,

I think something is going on around Georgia and Azerbaijan. Iranians have called their ambassador from Azerbaijan and Israeli official have had a visit to Azerbaijan. Watch closely for Georgia and its vicinities.

If you want to know about my opinion regarding the recent Iranian election, I think that it is all staged to identify internal potential threats before it gets too late. Believe it or not now they have much more control over everything than before. I suppose this time they were smart! They knew that they should have done something before it late (Probable attack by Israel).

So now to the molecular level the country is militarized, opposition heads are in jail, Media and communication is completely under control and their air force had a brief exercise over the Persian gulf just a week ago in the middle of all Iran issue!

So what more a government like Iran wants?? Good for them, bad for these youths.

Michael Jackson - Earth Song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOnL5c8LMqM&feature=related

Lyric:

What about sunrise?
What about rain?
What about all the things,
That you said we were to gain?
What about killing fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the things,
That you said was yours and mine?

Did you ever stop to notice,
All the blood we've shed before?
Did you ever stop to notice,
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aah............... Oo...........
Aah............... Oo...........

What have we done to the world?
Look what we've done.
What about all the peace,
That you pledge your only son?
What about flowering fields?
Is there a time?
What about all the dreams,
That you said was yours and mine?

Did you ever stop to notice,
All the children dead from war?
Did you ever stop to notice,
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aah............... Oo...........
Aah............... Oo...........

I used to dream.
I used to glance beyond the stars.
Now I don't know where we are.
Although I know we've drifted far.

Aah............... Oo...........
Aah............... Oo...........
Aah............... Oo...........
Aah............... Oo...........

Hey-yea!
What about yesterday?
What about the seas?
The heavens are falling down.
I can't even breathe!
What about apathy?
I can feel its wounds.
What about nature's worth?
It's our planet's womb!

What about animals?
We've turned kingdoms to dust,
What about elephants?
Have we lost their trust?
What about crying whales?
Ravaging the seas.
What about forest trails?
Burnt despite our pleas!

What about the holy land?
Torn apart by creed.
What about the common man?
Can't we set him free?
What about children dying?
Can't you hear them cry?
Where did we go wrong?
Someone tell me why!

What about baby boy?
What about the days?
What about all their joy?
What about the man?
What about the crying man?
What about Abraham?
What about death again?
Do we give a damn?!

When you judge a man you judge yourself

FF,

Briefly put, in some town and cities there have been evidences of cheating in voting centers. Even the government admitted it. I have talked to people that they say in some cities "Mousavi" got 4 times more votes than "Ahmadi" but the final announcement was the opposite. The government really didn't want to investigate the case so it raised more suspicious. It wasn't only "Mousavi", all the other candidates complained regarding different issues. The case WAS fishy.

By the way, I am not in the country so these opinions are what I have got through internet talks.

Keep the faith,
Ali.

faithful forever said...

Greetings,

Internet talks are very beneficial, I would say! Thanks, Ali. Many dirty deeds are put into play right now, so many we can't begin to keep up. One thing is for certain, corruption is rampant. Everthing is happening for a reason of furthering their agenda even if we can't really make heads or tails of it.

Which brings me to the Michael Jackson issue. He is being used as a tool even now after his death. The temporary controlling powers are counting on using him to captivate their audience and it is working once again. Dividing and distracting. Discerning the fruit one bears is not the same as judging. The music and entertainment business is owned and supported by those furthering this evil agenda, and many 'entertainers,' if not all, have paid the ultimate price (their soul) for their fame and fortune. Michael Jackson openly admitted his 'love' for young boys and while some may believe this 'love' to be innocent, pedophelia (sp?) is a hallmark of the industry to which he thrived in. One does not thrive, no matter the level of talent, without belonging to the club. Corruption rules everywhere. There are different degrees or levels, but I believe Jackson was deep in the throes of Satan for a very long time and the media attention substantiates it. An idol has been sacrificed and the world weeps. I have no idols for which I weep and I will not honor any person who I believe committed unspeakable acts against children and was not held accountable because of that fortune and fame, other than having to pay out money, which was an admission of guilt in my opinion. A truly innocent act would not have had to have been compensated.

Shouldn't one ask themselves why the airways are flooded with this mindless propaganda while Rome burns. There was a huge movement of troops in Afghanistan with a major offensive and can barely find any news about that, or how bad the economy/stock market is, but inquiring minds need to know all there is to know about Michael Jackson. Par for the course.

Great clip, Annon. And they call us the political extremists...more par for the course. Backwards and twisted, but soon the Lord will straighten it all out as He is the only one worthy to open the book of life; the only one with righteous judgement who knows a man's heart.

Stay blessed and keep looking up.

If you want to see the company you will be keeping soon, look at some of the comments about MJ on YouTube that say the same things as you do. Unfortunately most have been deleted for excessive profanity, but what remains should give you a good idea. Compare this with those that express a heartfelt love. One day you will be confronted with the fact that you denied an aspect of the very Christ you profess to adore. The same Christ you have reduced to a one dimensional cartoon superhero that will swoop in to rescue you from the ills of this world, the very ills you lament the destruction of.
The Antichrist has come and gone, love and the ballot has defeated him, yet you wish Him instead to come in violence and destroy by force. Love will reform this world, not force. Even the elect will be deceived, yet you cannot see yourself in this role. There are many ways to crucify a man. The forces of darkness are well nigh dispelled, all under your unwatchfull eye. Hate for even your enemy will keep you from the Kingdom.

Glad you liked the music. It does bring a sense of peace to your soul.

In regards to Michael Jackson I would not call myself a fan of Michael. I never bought any of his CD's but I did like some of his songs. I loved "We are the World" that he cowrote with Lionel Richie. The song "Heal the World" was a very inspiring song and I had the lyrics on my office wall at my Fisheries Office. Man in the Mirror I really loved. The theme song to the movie Willie "Will you be there"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm23tXYiXV4

There were some songs that I did not care for at all but that is just the way individual tastes are and so I picked and chose the songs that made my spirit at peace and which had love in them and caring for humanity and the environment.

I put some of the music on here that I liked and which had a message of love and caring out of respect for the man who was so misunderstood. He was an abused child who went on to care deeply for children and wanted them to have a childhood he never had. His father would beat him with a strap when he didn't get something right in rehersal and made fun of his nose and complextion. Very cruel.

Love and Peace

Anonymous said...

Sandra

Keep in mind that a lot of his music was 'bread and butter' songs to pay the bills, and appeal to the more common taste. He was very shrewd in that this brought these same common folk to appreciate his real message which was the unification of mankind through music and love. Most of his truly important videos cost millions and were not expected to actually make any money. Michael was what is known as a walk-in, where the birth spirit passes the baton to a greater spirit that has a more powerful message. This exchange caused the physical morphological changes everyone still talks about. The spirit that exchanged places with him was a hermaphrodite (sexless) in order to demonstrate a great love of children. It will be a long time before this is fully understood by the mainstream religious communities.

Sandra,

I also would like to tell you how much I enjoyed the Amazing Grace video; really beautiful. You are always such a great blessing my sister.

Ali,

It seems we were both posting about this vast dust storm. Has it settled yet? It is so ominous in the video. Have you ever been in one? Sorry about all the questions, but I have a maybe a couple more, if I may. Is every dust storm a sign for the people of Iran to look upon God's power, or this one unique in some way? The article posted states that it is by far the worst one that many people remember in a long time. Is there forewarning or do they happen very suddenly? I can't imagine what that must be like. I pray for all those who are suffering.

So much suffering in the world that is compounded daily. China's protests sound like they have turned very ugly on both sides and in a very short amount of time. The Pope is calling for a new currency, or something to that effect, and their plan continues to advance. A huge revelation of some kind is just as surely advancing as well.

An excerpt from an article about an attack on our communications over the past weekend:

For instance, last summer, in the weeks leading up to the war between Russia and Georgia, Georgian government and corporate Web sites began to see "denial of service" attacks. The Kremlin denied involvement, but a group of independent Western computer experts traced domain names and Web site registration data to conclude that the Russian security and military intelligence agencies were involved.

The whole article for anyone who might be interested, as well as one on the dust storm:

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/07/07/federal-websites-knocked-out-by-cyber-attack/

http://news.aol.com/article/iraq-dust-storm-photo/560230

The Israeli Air Force is soon to be conducting exercises over Iran, and anything can happen.

Our God reigns.

Love and prayers to all who gather here. Stay of good courage and have no fear. When we fear we do not trust God. Trust the One who wrote this story and told us not to fear when this time came.

And I thought the catholic church was nothing but a bunch of anticrists.
They must be good people, just look at all the help they give to poor people.

http://philanthropy.com/free/update/2005/01/2005010301.htm

Think what you want about the Bush family but look at all the money they helped raise, I am sure they even gave a few bucks themself.
They must be good people.

It must really be a big sacrifice to give soo much money from ones vast resources. It must be tough to try & get by with just a few million.(add sarcasm)

I don't really give much honor to filthy rich people who give from their riches, they had ought to do that.
If a bilionaire gives 900 million to the poor, well he is still filthy rich & it should not hurt him at all therefore it is no great sacrafice.
Your average Joe who makes $500/wk can struggle to give just 10% of his hard earned money & have to go without some things just to do so but is his sacrafice less because it is only $50 a week?

Now I am no fan of MJ but his heart seemed in the right place & I hope he finds the peace in death that he seemed to never find in life but I won'r honor a man just because he gave lots of money from his great wealth.
I actually felt sorry for him every time I would see him.
He also spent millions on his many cosmetic procedures that left him pretty messed up in his vain attempt to alter his looks.(sorry I don't buy into the idea that his appearence changed because he was possessed by a different spirit)
So he was a little self-absorbed also in my opinion.

One thing is certain, that all his money could not buy him the happiness he sought.

Though I was not a fan of MJ all the talk & coverage of his death has brought to memory someone who I was a fan of who was slain almost 30 years ago & I remember how saddened I was then so I know how some of you must feel.

Anonymous,
If this was meant for me because I put the Heal the world charity link here that was not my intent. Just thought if anyone wanted to give to it. Everyone has their own charities but just innocently thought I would share it.

Take it for what it was intended and not make more out of it than I intended. If I am mistaken with this comment forgive me. :)

I also agree with you on it does not matter how much you give. It is in joyfully giving. Remember Jesus spoke of the widow who gave:

Luke 21:1 -21:4
21:1] As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. [2] He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. [3] "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. [4] All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

Will You Be There lyrics

Hold Me
Like The River Jordan
And I Will Then Say To Thee
You Are My Friend

Carry Me
Like You Are My Brother
Love Me Like A Mother
Would You Be There?

Weary
Tell Me Will You Hold Me
When Wrong, Will You Skold Me
When Lost Will You Find Me?

But They Told Me
A Man Should Be Faithful
And Walk When Not Able
And Fight Till The End
But I'm Only Human

Everyone's Taking Control Of Me
Seems That The World's
Got A Role For Me
I'm So Confused
Will You Show To Me
You'll Be There For Me
And Care Enough To Bear Me

(Hold Me) show me
(Lay Your Head Lowly)
told me
(Softly Then Boldly)
(Carry Me There)
I'm Only Human

(Lead Me)
hold me
(Love Me And Feed Me)
ye yeah
(Kiss Me And Free Me)
yeah
(I Will Feel Blessed)
I'm Only Human

(Carry)
Carry
(Carry Me Boldly)
Carry me
(Lift Me Up Slowly)
yeah
(Carry Me There)
I'm Only Human

(Save Me)
need me
(Heal Me And Bathe Me)
lift me up lift me up
(Softly You Say To Me)
(I Will Be There)
I Will Be There

(Lift Me)
i'm gonna care
(Lift Me Up Slowly)
(Carry Me Boldly)
yeah
(Show Me You Care)
Show Me You Care

(Hold Me)
whoooo
(Lay Your Head Lowly)
i git lonly some times
(Softly Then Boldly)
i git lonly
(Carry Me There)
yeah yeah carry me there
yeah yeah yeah
[Spoken]
In Our Darkest Hour
In My Deepest Despair
Will You Still Care?
Will You Be There?
In My Trials
And My Tripulations
Through Our Doubts
And Frustrations
In My Violence
In My Turbulence
Through My Fear
And My Confessions
In My Anguish And My Pain
Through My Joy And My Sorrow
In The Promise Of Another Tomorrow
I'll Never Let You Part
For You're Always In My Heart.

We cannot even begin to fathom the good things He has in store for us; imagine the beauty if we can:

Revelation 21:15-22 (King James Version)

15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Amen. And with no strangers dwelling among us. Come Lord Jesus, come.

It is always acceptable to agree to disagree and move on in love and respect for those differences. We are all on the same journey and more importantly, the same side.

Love and Peace to you my sister, and to everyone in these trying time. We are being strengthened and refined by the our Lord and Savior and all we need do is trust and believe in Him. He will reveal everything we need to know when we need to know it. Every step of the way of this most amazing time in which we are witnessing. This I know for certain.

Great site, Annon, and thanks for sharing it. Still can't get enough truth and it is always edifying to see that there is another one of us out there..always.

China has had another earthquake yesterday and it is reported that over 400,000 people need to relocate. The suffering and misery just keeps building.

Regarding the vaccine for the swine flu, did everybody see that the manufacturers are not even going to wait for the clinical trials to come back and instead just mass produce the (unsafe, untested) vaccine. They really are concerned about our welfare.

Stay blessed and keep looking up. I have missed you my amazing brother.

Love and prayers.

FF,
Love you my sister. Love will win out in the end and that is the goal of all followers of Jesus. There is so much anger and hate in the world and as a representative of Christ I do not want to be part of it. To bring understanding and love in our differences because we all come from different cultures but our Love for God bring us together.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

4: Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5: It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6: Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.

7: It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

8: Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

9: For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

10: but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

11: When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

12: For now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Love and Peace to all.

Greetings to all,

First I would like to say that coming to a place of completely embracing the unknown of things to come is an amazing feeling. Nobody knows how this scenario is going to unfold, but we know God authored this war just as George W. Bush once stated, and this is more than sufficient for me. We need merely trust Him, and I certainly do. But unfolding it is. Unfolding in ways that can seem like it is not unfolding; easily cast aside. But truth is busting out everywhere about many things and I believe this is a big part of the unveiling; the revelations. Everything is revealing itself and there will be no place to hide.

I heard the other day that many do not believe or accept Obama as a legitimate president because of the goofing of the Presidential Oath which was redone in private the following day. Who knows? Not me, but thought I would mention it, so there it is. Seemed trivial until this story about passports and the loose ends start fitting together a little more:

http://www.federaljack.com/2009/07/11/key-witness-in-obama-passport-fraud-case-murdered/

To witness everything in hidding come out into the open might be a little daunting for some, but a most amazing time it is indeed.

A Cigna executive has stated Micheal Moore had the story straight in the movie 'Sicko' and how hard the lobbyists worked to discredit his work. Some 'judge' has 'ruled' that Cheney used the CIA illegally (naw, do ya think?) and are there any charges filed...no. Justice will come. Riding on a white horse and since this is the only true justice, patiently we will wait for it and it is going to be so worth the wait. Just wait and see.

Stay of good courage; stay blessed and keep looking up with thanks of praise and love for our God who is coming to reign. Just as when evil men rule and the people mourn, when the righteous rule, well, lots and lots of better things for the people.

Love and prayers always.
