BLINDING ‘EM WITH SCIENCE

"If calculations of the newly discovered Higgs boson particle are correct, one day, tens of billions of years from now, the universe will disappear at the speed of light, replaced by a strange, alternative dimension, one theoretical physicist calls boring. 'It may be that the universe we live in is inherently unstable and at some point billions of years from now it's all going to get wiped out. This has to do with the Higgs energy field itself,' Joseph Lykken, with the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Ill., said. 'This calculation tells you that many tens of billions of years from now there'll be a catastrophe.'"

“Tens of billions of years from now....”  Will this give people a false sense of security, I don’t know. I am not sure if people pay them any heed, but it would stand to reason that as always, science contradicts God’s word.  If I didn’t believe in God and I read this, it would support my blindness.  They are right about one thing, however, that ‘it’s all going to get wiped out.’ 

2 Peter 3:10-13

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversations and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

And only the Father knows when.  Have no fear and have no doubt, the Kingdom of God is at hand.  Rejoice and give thanks. 

Our world continues to change before our eyes. An unusual event making the news is the super pod of dolphins off the coast of San Diego.  It’s reported that the swarm is seven miles long and five miles wide with an estimate of 100,000 dolphins.  Some say an earthquake is imminent and others equate it with the meteorite in Russia as the dolphins gathered on the same day.  Whatever the reason(s) or if it means anything is beyond me, but I do know that it is a rare occurrence.  While here in my neck of the woods, the drought continues and the weather is unprecedented again with 53 degree temperatures yesterday and the next night brings the coldest night of winter with wind chills up to 10 below.   Crazy, crazy is this time like no other, but watching prophecy unfold is simply amazing.

Unsettled geomagnetic conditions as Earth passes through solar wind stream

A weak interplanetary shock was registered by ACE spacecraft at 10:58 UTC on February 16, 2013. This event is not expected to bring widespread geomagnetic disturbances, however, it sparked aurora displays at very high latitudes. The Kp index is currently at 4, very close to minor geomagnetic storm level. Geomagnetic Sudden Impulse was observed at 12:10 UTC on February 16, 2013 with 10 nT Bz fluctuation.   

Our ever-changing world includes our ever-changing atmosphere.  There is a lot of activity in the Heavens lately.  Some say we are passing through a part of the Milky Way Galaxy that is littered with debris; some call it a dark rift which has a rather ominous sound to it, but God is in control and has a purpose for everything so there are no worries, only awe of our mighty God who has the power to shake the heavens and the earth.   There's a coronal hole on the sun that is almost constantly allowing solar wind to escape. The sun directly affects activity on earth and we are seeing a lot of activity on earth in the way of floods, earthquakes in diverse places and an increase in volcanic eruptions. 

Keep looking up for there is lots to watch, and wait for.
      Good things are always worth waiting for.

STORMS, COMETS, QUAKES AND TSUNAMIS. OH MY!

New England states have had a snowstorm that was named ‘Nemo.’  I don’t ever recall a winter storm being named, but then everything in our world is changing.  Some have pointed out that Nemo backwards is Omen.  If it means anything or not, I do not know, but it is very unusual that authorities in the New England states have in essense imposed martial law by demanding everyone stay in their homes because roads, trains and airports are closed.  It’s being reported that some are threatening a year in jail or $1,000.00 fine for those who venture out.  Whether it is true or not, I don’t know and if it will be enforced remains to be seen.  I do have a hard time believing that it is being imposed because they care about the safety of the citizens.  Maybe it is an omen of martial law; a trial run so to speak.  It is a little ironic that New England, where the first settlers landed in search of freedoms, is the place where it is at least, and hopefully, temporarily suspended.  

We are in for a whole lot of change.  Some of it good, some not so good, but it all leads to the dawn of a new day and that makes it all a win-win situation even when it doesn’t appear to be.  Have no fear; only faith.

There are three known comets to make an appearance in our galaxy this year which is phenomenal.  The first one will fly by our earth this Thursday on the 15^th.  While they say it poses no threat to earth, it is the closest one in a very long time and the trajectory is being watched closely.  They say it will be close enough to take out satellites or space junk – yes, our atmosphere is just as polluted as the earth.  If the comet did collide with something, could the path of the comet be altered? 

The Pacific Ring of Fire rattled the earth with a 8.0 earthquake in the Solomon Islands that was followed by a tsunami.  It’s devastating to the inhabitants, but the world seemed to yawn at it like it is business as usual and not a big deal.  There has been a state of emergency declared because of the continuing large aftershocks.  I bet it is a big deal to those who are living it.

So, in our changing world, look up and rejoice for the passing away of this system of things is happening and the Lord has great and wondrous promises in store for the meek who will inherit the earth.  Rejoice for the Father is preparing to send His glorious Son back.
